Fantastic boutique guesthouse well located in the centre of Stellenbosch, a few minutes walk to the main area of bars & restaurants. The staff really make this hotel, they go the extra mile to make sure your stay is the best it could be! They even did some laundry for us over the weekend when their laundry service is closed. The pool area allbeit small is set in a beautiful garden area, perfect for an hour or two to relax in the afternoon

The only downside was the size of the beds, i’m only 5ft 11’ yet my feet were hanging off the end! The rooms are small though so it’s understandable that a larger bed wouldnt fit. This certainly didnt ruin my stay, but just a point to note.

Little oasis of comfort, you can walk into town. Staff were helpful with friends visiting and helped with a cheese board and wine glasses on one occasion and sandwich and coffee on the other. Love the courtyard with pool. The room was quiet and cozy and had upmarket furnishings, the bathroom was really large and had space for my wash bag. I had a lot of laundry ... which they tackled professionally. The house has a very personal touch of someone who has travelled extensively and has an interest in art. I would describe the style as NY Coffee House meets Shaker meets French Riviera meets Early Settlers.

We are a family of 3 so we had 2 of the studios. Lov ely accommodation and very helpful staff. A great location, just across from the Botanical Gardens and 3 minutes walk from the Endler Hall. We attended a concert there. Quite safe to walk around the area at night. Comfortable beds, pretty garden and a great breakfast the next morning just across the road at the coffee shop. I would definitely stay here again.

The Guest House was AMAZING. We were in Stellenbosch for a wedding and wanted to stay in central for the days leading up to the event. The rooms were lovely with beautiful views, very clean, and the Guest House also has lovely spaces were you can relax and chill out. Michelle is an absolute angel and deserves everything good in life - she went above and beyond during our stay. Two examples of many - I realised the day before the wedding my bridesmaid dress had a stain and she was amazing - went absolutely above and beyond to help me. I also had to hide a birthday cake for my husband and again, couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. I am already planning a return trip to SA and without hesitation would stay at the Guest House again!!

Great location close to the town centre and staff are extremely helpful and accommodating . The umbrellas lent to guests are a great touch , the weather was poor whilst we stayed so well appreciated - Rooms are well equipped with lovely complimentary pod coffees, teas and biscuits - the mini bar is well stocked and reasonably priced.

Didn’t love the breakfast , lots of different options and the three courses are a novel idea, I think I made a bad choice with the breakfast platter, it was just a weird selection of things.

The guest house is absolutely beautiful! we were staying in one of the studio and it's so spacious, well decorated and beautiful. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, it's made to order and definitely worth it. We were there for part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved the little touche they made especially for us (especially the bottle of Cap Classique in our bedroom :)). The staff were so nice,if we're ever back in Stellenbosch we will definitely visit again.

Exceptional Experience, Bonne Esperance exceeded expectations in every way. The warm welcome, stunning room, and outstanding service made my stay truly unforgettable. The room was immaculate. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. The staff went above and beyond, providing personalized attention and ensuring our every need was met. The breakfast options are delicious, and the hotel's amenities were wonderful. I highly recommend a luxury stay at this gem.

This was a nice place to stay ideally located for a few nights in stellenbosch. The property was undergoing renovations at the time but they let us know in advance and we were completely undisturbed the checkin and breakfast staff were great. We had breakfast in the building next door there was a good selection the rooms were clean and our had a balcony and small table you could see some of the mountains. Reception were accommodating if we needed anything.

Loved the feel of Bonne Esperance. Stylish and elegant and homely at the same time. The breakfasts were superb! Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Laundry service was great value and very efficient. The location of Bonne Esperance was only a short walk from Stellenbosch centre so very convenient to go out in the evenings and enjoy the lovely wine of the area.

We loved staying at Bonne Esperance! The staff were absolutely lovely and the room was quaint and very comfortable. We had terrible weather in Stellenbosch whilst we were there so got to thoroughly enjoy the hospitality of Bonne Esperance and would highly recommend it to anyone heading to the Stellenbosch area. The breakfast was delicious!
