We upgraded to a superior apartment on arrival as we were staying for a month and the extra space fitted our needs better with a study so we could work while away. The view was also better, overlooking the park, than the standard apartments. The swimming pool and leisure facilities on the roof were excellent. The location is very good, the shopping center and restaurants are a short walk away, there is also the RSL club next door which you can sign into as a visitor and grab a very good meal or just a drink in lovely surroundings. However what we liked most about our stay was all the staff, they were so friendly, professional and helpful in every way. I will certainly be returning when we visit our relatives again.

Absolutely LOVED the service provided by the staff in the reception area of this property.

The property wasn't the most clean property with lots of things missed and feeling a bit meh! The housekeeping claimed they didn't come due to a sign on the door. However, this wasn't the case. The staff gave a $5 cafe card for each day they missed. However, i wanted and paid for a regularly clean space. The hotel staff always assisted if i needed new amenities that weren't updated due to them not coming. I do suggest they consider deep cleans of their bathroom areas, carpets, balcony flooring & balcony windows though as all of them in a number of rooms I visited were quite average. (Had lots of friends staying) I also didn't like the pool area closing at 9pm, I feel that for summer, it should be 10 pm

We had a Melbourne city view from our balcony so could watch the hot air balloons floating over Melbourne city. The rooftop pool and spa were the best way to end a busy day. So many delicious foods within walking distance of the apartment. It’s also very close to Box Hill Hospital if you needed to stay close by. Staff were great to deal with. Aircon/heating unit worked great. Having a kitchenette and washing machine for a week was essential and the apartments ticked all those boxes.

I don’t have any negatives that spring to mind.

The location is ideal, out of the city but central enough to get to lots of destinations easily. The apartment has everything needed and was clean and comfortable.

The parking, to pay $18 a day on top of the room rate. The street parking is only for 2hrs and not cheap either. I had booked our room with cleaning and was asked if I wanted to not have it cleaned for a $5 voucher that could be redeemed at a local cafe.. I was silly and said yes, then realised that the cafe was not close and I didn't really need to use the cafe! So think about that before not accepting the cleaning.

Location was very good with a cafe next door for a good breakfast and lots of Asian restaurants nearby. Trams and train station were close by. It was also adjacent to the Box Hill RSL where we were attending a function. Avani staff were very helpful and courteous. The view from the apartment was lovely and we took a nice walk in the local park.

We stayed in room 1303. There was a lot of hanging space but no shelving in the bedrooms apart from one very high shelf. The apartment was intended to sleep four people, but there was room to hang only two towels in the bathroom. There was nowhere to hang a hand towel either. The connection to the smaller shower head leaked badly.

Overall the stay was extremely positive. Reception staff were extremely accommodating, parking was convenient, location was very good also. Internally the room was flawless, fantastic park views. Great room & large bed. Bathroom and kitchen areas were second to none. Balcony was large and really relaxing just overall a great view from your room. This hotel screams great views from your balcony view to the rooftop pool/jacuzzi view. This was an highlight off the trip, sensational views. Overall great team at Avani, will definitely return.

Overall I can’t really find anything to put in dislikes. One minor item may be the construction sites around, there was noise here and there which may affect some travellers. Bathroom cleaning was also mediocre but overall very minor. Wouldn’t really classify these items as anything major.

Location was perfect near the hospitals, and public transport. Parking was easy and convenient. Staff were so so nice, and nothing was a bother. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely park view. Amenities were fabulous and bed was very comfortable. There is a coffee shop next door, and the Box Hill RSL, a perfect spot for dinner. The rooftop pool was luxurious with amazing views.

The Superior Two Bedroom Two Bathroom Suite was great. Corner location on the 15th floor with views in two directions, balcony, spacious living area for 4 people and individual bathrooms. Large king size beds in both rooms with city views, ample wardrobe space for travellers and a pod machine! Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and quick to rectify a problem we had on arrival. Apartments are in a great location, cafes next door and around the corner and shopping centres nearby. Additional amenities were also available at reception whenever needed. We will stay again.

On arrival, the room we'd booked on Booking.com was not the room we were allocated. Our booking.com confirmation was very clear including specific photos for just one room type. While that room type had been allocated to someone else, the staff were very quick to rectify this for us and thankfully, we did end up with the room type we had booked and paid for. We found the beds too firm, the windows were quite dirty (it was winter) and the bathrooms were not well lit.

We were there for a conference so this was a central accommodation just 10 minutes from the conference location. We were very high up so the view over Box Hill was pretty good. The accommodation was extremely comfortable with plenty of space to move around in. The kitchen was very well kitted out. This accommodation was also literally next door to Box Hill RSL so if you didn't want to cook the RSL was at your doorstep but there were plenty of places to eat regardless nearby.

There wasn't anything to dislike here.

Property was chosen because of its closeness to a private hospital. It was perfect. A near-new moderately sized tower hlock of apartments with all facilities and an excellent cafe. Our 10th floor 1-bedroom apartment was surprisingly large with king size bed and huge wardrobe separate from the lounge/dining room and full kitchen. Washing machine & drier were hidden behind doors in the bathroom. 2 x Smart tvs, one with a sound bar. Nice touches like a pod coffee machine and a chocolate bar with a welcoming note on the dining table. TimTams were even handed out as a departing gift
