Beautiful setting with plenty of parking. Room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good.

Dust on top of headboard and cobweb in n ceiling above where my pillow was. Wardrobe door on right extremely noisy when opening and closing. Had to leave the door slightly open to avoid making a lot of noise the following morning. Carpet was clean but looks ready for replacing. TV on the table in front of the mirror I needed to use to dry my hair. Could do with a blackout blind. Would not stop me from visiting again but small points that could be improved on.

Room 14 the shower room needs a maintained man and a clean. Fixtures missing from toilet . Pole in shower not attached to walk and bottom of shower wher it joins floor n door dirty

The location was lovely and the house was adorable. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety

We had been looking forward to a countryside pub keal and were not aware that the kitchen was already closed on arrival at half five and last orders were just being called so they could close the house at seven. We ordered take away and ate it outside. We were lucky the weather was warm and nice.

Excelllent breakfast, very convenient room. Staff very helpful and evening meal at adjoining restaurant was very good. Room spacious, with comfortable bed and good shower. Easy to get to and depart from and potentially quieter than staying directly in Northampton, with a nice atmosphere in the adjoining - but separate - pub area and restaurant.

Unfortunately the property traps heat - excellent in winter, but less favourable on hot and humid summer days/nights. The room includes a fan, however, which provided cooling at the (relatively minor) expense of background hum.

Lovely setting, Large room, comfortable bed. Restaurant food was delicious as was my breakfast.

Being in room 1 was a little noisy from early morning deliveries and guests going outside my window to smoke or chat on their phones. I appreciate this is something that can't necessarily be changed and it it really was only a minimal impact on my stay

I had 2 lunches and the food was excellent and what I would expect from a high end restaurant, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying again.

My only criticism is staff smoking by the entrance door to the bedrooms(ground floor) it looked unprofessional. Maybe a designated area for staff to smoke out of sight would be more suitable. Bedroom furniture is getting tiered,but everything was clean.

The rooms are comfy and have what you need for an overnight stay. The breakfast is always delicious. We liked that they called us on Sunday afternoon as we only booked on Sunday to inform us that the kitchen closed at 5 30pm and the bar at 6.30pm. This meant we had to make alternative arrangements for an evening meal but at least we were prewarned. We possibly might have cancelled but we booked the room that we couldn't cancel as it was such last minute and we knew we wouldn't need to cancel so a little disappointing that we had to find somewhere else to eat.

This is a great place to stay, with hygienic rooms and daily housekeeping. Plenty of outdoor space for warm weather. A restaurant that serves delicious meals and a bar with comfy sofas

Unfortunately the milk provided in the room is long life milk but all of ours had congealed, spoiling the cup of tea. Staff would have quickly replaced it but I chose to use our own

The room was beautiful, the bath was shorter than usual which is something great for a tiny person, the grounds were beautiful, we accidentally left a box behind snd couldn't return to get it so the hotel kindly agreed to post it to us which we could not be more grateful for.

I couldn't tell how the room was heated and it didn't really feel like I was controlling anything despite there being a thermostat, maybe a sign to explain? The toilet was also really hard to flush, the bed was also really hard which I know is common in hotels but this one seemed exceptional. My husband slept just fine though

The property was fantastic. The rooms were in a separate building to the pub, so no noise issues. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pub food smelled amazing. We could order a taxi from a device on Reception. Would happily book again.

It was a bit far from where we were going but as a last minute booking due to previously booked accommodation letting us down, it was an absolute lifesaver.
