Lovely big bedroom with en suite. Very comfortable bed and chairs to work at the desk or table.

Went down to have dinner, where the restaurant had just a few people dining. Unfortunately there was a function going on, and the noise of the music was blaring into where we were eating. I had the simple vegetable soup of which just liquidise leftovers, and it came lukewarm, and a half defrosted roll! I got the waitress to take the soup back, and when it came back it wasnt that much hotter! I had the rump steak next which came, and although the steak was hot, the rest wasn't. The mushroom tasted funny, I assume to the seasoning put all over everything, and the three onion rings were tiny, I did complain in the morning to the reception, that being a Saturday night I would have thought they would have had a more enticing soup for choice, like fresh tomato, or sweet pepper and chili!

The outside appearance of hotel could have used a little work . Inside was spotless, bight, modern and comfortable. Rooms very of a very high standard , comfortable bed , great space and exceptionally clean . The staff we encountered were all pleasant , welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The only part that wasn’t great for was the breakfast we ordered toast eggs and mushrooms. We received no butter for the toast , and the eggs had no taste it felt like eating cardboard and we couldn’t finish it . Other than that we would highly recommend Humber royal hotel

Everything was great. The rooms are lovely and kept nice and warm. The staff are so happy and genuine and nothing was too much for them. Polite and welcoming. Breakfast and the food was always amazing and the portions fill you up. Well worth the money. The people around are so lovely too. Everything we needed was walking distance or a bus journey away. If we had a car there was a car park to use.

We didn't have any issues. We loved our stay and we came last year too. The building outside is a bit outdated but inside is absolutely lovely. Don't judge before you've been inside and have been to your room or in the restaurant. I'd say it's the best hotel we've stayed in.

Good location for auditorium. Exterior a little dated but don't be put off by this. Room was a decent size with nice layout, nice décor & good amenities, bottled water always appreciated :-) USB plugs in room for ease of charging would be beneficial though. Staff are fabulous - friendly and very customer focussed and helpful. Plenty of parking, always a plus. It was nice & quiet, both outside (have window open at night) and inside hotel. I slept really well, mattress would benefit from a topper to soften surface but overall it was comfortable and I slept well. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food. I would stay again and if I had to chose between this hotel and the nearby Premier Inn, (similar style hotel) I'd chose the Humber Royal every time as I think the rooms are better than Premier Inn and this hotel offers great value for money.

Minor points only - no USB plugs and no central ceiling light in the room I was staying in, so room only softly lit.

The room, although a little dated, had enough cupboards and drawers to meet my wife's high standards. Tv, tea coffee making equipment fine. The lift to all floors was excellent as was the breakfasts and evening meals we had during our three night stay. Car park was very large and the reception well signposted. Staff were lovely.

On arriving I did cringe when I saw the dilapidated front aspect. (Photo). The Hotel was quiet during our stay and so the small bar/restaurant areas were not a problem but I can imagine that there would be insufficient seating in the bar at busy times.

Clean, comfortable and fresh, nice size room, quality fixtures and fittings and nice to have the balcony and table and chairs. I really felt at home after a long day of work and driving. Towels and bed linen were nice and a fab power shower. I was most impressed.

The breakfast was very expensive for what it was in my opinion and the choices were limited and no coffee options such as latte included. At £14.95 I’d expect a bit more. On a positive note the staff were excellent and the area clean, comfortable and relaxing.

We did not like the kerb appeal. There are areas that need painting which are low level so would be easy to do. The austere look of the building could be softened by planting some trees and having large tubs with flowers in them and some shrubs in the grass areas removing the large patch of stinging nettles at the front . Round the back again tubs with flowers and shrubs. On the balcony 2 outdoor chairs and a small table would have been nice.

They took notice of our request to be located away from the lift or noisy doors. The size of the room. Having a small table with 2 seats in addition to a desk and a third chair. Well thought out furnishings in general Three large windows to let in light and they were openable to let in fresh air. Room darkening curtains. Friendly welcome from staff. Easy parking

The shower hose leaked a bit but was still powerful and warm enough. The exterior of the building could do with some maintenance, it didn't give a great first impression will peeling paint. The room view was of a flat roof and the car park. It would be a nice idea if they could create some kind of 'green roof' of the conference facilities.

We always have a great stay with friendly staff and fab restaurant not to mention plenty of free parking

Always have an issue with the cleaning. Carpets not hoovered lack of towels, towel rail was reported broken but not dealt with during our two week stay. Hit and miss with toilet roll and refreshment items however the reception staff were fab and rectified most issues for us they couldn’t have done more. We love the hotel though and have been returning for three years.

The property doesn’t give a warm feeling from its outside appearance however inside was lovely and the staff were excellent.

No one’s fault but the lift broke down shortly after I arrived. Added to that my room was on the forth floor. With my arthritic knees it felt like I had a full work out just going down for the evening meal and breakfast. Also the EV chargers were spaced quite away from the hotel reception and the area was very dark. Luckily there were no problems while using them and I moved the car back over nearer the hotel after.
