just notes: air freshener in bathroom because there was no window; toilet rolls 2 per day ration; dripping tap bathroom room 16; more hooks or rails to hang our towels on to dry to keep reusing them; a bigger table; a brighter lighting option for the main room. the next question is about the beach we went to Point Roadknight as its a flat option which makes it more easily accessible than anglesea for me personally. we brought our own towels for the beach.

Very helpful and welcoming owner, I was two nights here and it felt like home. Not a big place, would recommend if travelling the Great Ocean Road or if staying in the Anglesea area. I actually left some stuff behind I couldn't carry in my luggage (Vintage records) in case the staff might want them and the Owner rang me within hours worried I'd forgotten them. A motel that cares is a motel worth staying in.

I stayed on a Thursday evening before the long weekend in March. The location was close to where I needed to go the following day. It is in close proximity to the beach and main strip. It is an old motel that has been given a makeover with some lovely, modern touches. The room was very clean and had good amenities - tea/coffee, hairdryer, tea towel, plates, cups, cutlery, fridge & microwave. In addition, there's a small pool for guests use and on the weekend just gone, one would have needed a dip ! The motel was excellent for a one night stay and I would recommend it for an even longer stay. The motel was excellent value for money before a long weekend.

The carpets had recently been steamed cleaned according to the host however they need to be replaced. There are far too many stains.

The management & staff are absolutely lovely. The motel is in a great location & the room was beautifully decorated as well as being very clean. The staff really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible & were very friendly. The manager advised that the room is due for renovation over winter which I think will rectify most of the little issues we had.

We stayed in room 2 which is a designated accessible room. However it was a bit lacking. The door ways are standard width, furniture arrangement block the bathroom, there is a half step down into the shower and no wide disabled parking space. The rails in the bathroom make it ideal for frail/aged guests but not quite enough for a wheelchair user like my wife.

Great location to everything you go to Anglesea for and beyond. Clean and comfortable necessities in the room. Loved the retro and boho feel to the room. The sheets and towels were white, clean crispy sheets and fluffy non-smelly towels. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The room decor and cleanliness was let down by the carpet. Stains everywhere and I was not comfortable walking around without thongs on.

We had a very nice experience at the Anglesea Riverside Motel. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, making our stay hassle-free. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. We highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Everything was good

Close to Anglesea village and the beach. Lovely decor - I felt like we were staying in Palm Springs. Spacious and comfortable room.

Only criticism is the bathroom could do with an update. It didn’t match the rest of the room and nowhere to store our personal toiletries. A vanity with cupboard would be nice.

We have stayed at this property a number of times. As you would expect rates fluctuate depending on season and events such as long weekends. On a normal weekend it is good value for money. The location is outstanding and within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. The beach is across the road. The surf club is about 500m, a great place for a meal and the best view of the coast. The motel itself offers good basic rooms that are old but have been refurbished. The bed was very comfy. Although the motel is on the main road, very little noise could be heard from our room. The motel is affiliated with the resort next door and there is use of facilities such as the large indoor pool, as well as an outdoor bar area at the resort that has live music on weekends and an excellent restaurant and spa/massage facility. The rooms are very clean and the staff are always extremely pleasant and helpful.

The carpet was badly stained in the particular room we had this time.

We enjoyed our last minute stay at Anglesea Riverside Motel. The staff were friendly. Loved that we also had access to facilities at the Great Ocean Road Resort which was only a 2 minutes walk away. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the air conditioning greatly appreciated.

Rooms are extremely clean, spacious and light-filled. Bed is comfy, as were pillows. As walls are made from besser brick, there were no issues with noise from neighbours. Location is fantastic, within walking distance of all amenities and right opposite the river. Providing dishwashing liquid was a handy touch. Being able to use facilities at Great Ocean Road Resort is a real bonus.

Road noise. Outdated bathroom with tiny shelf and towel rail that was too tight (owner says they are about to renovate). Lack of comfortable chair/couch. A bit pricey for a basic room. No ironing board or iron.
