We stayed overnight at this hotel in Padang Bai before catching a boat to the Gili Islands, and it was the perfect choice for our needs. The location is incredibly convenient if you’re planning a tour to the Gilis, making the early morning departure a breeze. One standout feature was their luggage keep service—just a minimal fee and such a lifesaver for travelers like us. The staff were absolutely wonderful, so helpful and kind, which made our short stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was simple but hearty and delicious, setting us up nicely for the day ahead. I’d happily return here next time I’m passing through—great value and a warm atmosphere!

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds are really comfortable and we slept really well. The bathroom is large and clean but a bit run down. Everyone has a seat to sit outside the room and there are multiple terraces, which offer a nice view into the green surroundings. The pool is cool and after long day its very refreshing. The staff was kind and helpful. The black sand beach behind the Inn is beautiful, but sadly there is a lot of trash there. There is a also white sand beach nearby, which has some drink and food options. If you stay there, its best to rent a scooter as grab and are hard to get, especially in the city. With the scooter, padangbai is 5 min away.

The included breakfast is very basic, so don't expect too much there.

I departed Singapore and didn't have time to eat. Didn't eat on the plane. Didn't eat when I arrived at the airport. Arrived at the hotel at 1am My driver Mr. Nyoman was so generous and kind and made me a banana pancake and tea for dinner. It was just what I needed, and I'm so in love with banana pancakes now. It was the best one I've had so far on my trip to Indonesia.

More of a reflection on my own travel stress. First time travelling to Bali and Lombok I was a bit overwhelmed with all the taxi and grab drivers when looking for Mr. Nyoman at the airport. Found him waiting with all the drivers on the right hand side with everyone holding up the signs for hotel shuttles 😊

Good sized attractive rooms. Very clean. Great Aircon that kept room nice and cool. Nice pool. Very friendly staff. Breakfast included. Staff arranged driver to pick us up from ferry. Short taxi ride away is blue lagoon where there is very good snorkelling can do from beach. Can hire snorkel equipment at beach.

Bathrooms very basic (but very clean). Hottest we could get water in shower was luke warm. Only a couple restaurants in walking distance one up a steep incline which our kids found too difficult so we used grab/taxi to drive us to/from centre of town for our meals 50000rp each way. Easy to get taxis/grab though.

Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice swimming pool. The facility is new (~4 years old, so well maintained, beautiful atmosphere, lots of plants, and seating areas. We were ~1.5km from our friends staying near the beach. The walk to the Inn from the beach area was narrow and steep in one place. There were no sidewalks, so you had to walk single file and be wary of the many motorbikes passing. We could have used the services of the Inn driver (I suspect for a nominal cost). It is an exceptionally good value and you will feel pampered.

The distance and road conditions to the Inn from the beach. I wouldn’t walk it alone after sunset… there are a few street lights that come on and off. We were here during a festival which was very interesting but it meant that there were many, many motorcycles on the road.

The convenience of being so close to the beach allowed me to take leisurely walks, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and even indulge in thrilling water activities with ease. This proximity undoubtedly enhanced my overall experience. Enchanting Atmosphere: From the moment I stepped foot inside Bali 85 Beach Inn, I was captivated by its enchanting atmosphere. The inn exudes a sense of tranquility and harmony that perfectly blends with the surrounding natural beauty. The lush gardens, soothing sounds of the ocean, and traditional Balinese architecture create an idyllic oasis where one can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether lounging by the pool, sipping a refreshing drink at the on-site café, or simply enjoying the peaceful ambiance, the inn offers a serene escape like no other. Unparalleled Comfort: A good night's sleep is essential for any traveler, and Bali 85 Beach Inn excels in providing unparalleled comfort. The bed in my room was nothing short of heavenly.

While my stay at Bali 85 Beach Inn was undoubtedly exceptional, I would like to mention one minor downside I encountered during my visit: limited options for dinner. Though the inn itself offers a delightful café, I found that there were not many nearby restaurants to choose from for evening meals. However, this did not significantly detract from my overall experience, as the inn's café provided tasty meals and there were alternative dining options available within a short distance.

The host was amazing. So thoughtful. Lovely man. Perfect stay for a group of 4 heading to the ferry the next day. Stay for the breakfast, vege omelette is great. Very clean, clear the cleaner takes pride in keeping the place immaculate.

Very comfortable beds, reliable WiFi, good AC and close to the harbor while being tucked away on off the main harbor street. The owner and staff were very kind and welcoming. The included breakfast was tasty.

I could hear the street noise and noises from other guests in the inn. The shower water (despite a shower curtain) inevitable gets on the floor. According to Booking.com there was shuttle service and it didn't reflect that this was an extra charge; not only did I need to pay for a shuttle to the harbor, but the fee seemed higher than other options like Grab / Gojek.

We had a very brief stay at Bali 85 Inn, arriving at midnight and leaving the next morning by 7.30am for the ferry to Lombok. But in the time we were there, we really appreciated the great service of the team. So much so, that when I returned to Bali from Lombok, I organised a driver through the hotel. While it was a super quick stay, I can recommend Bali 85 for a good stay if you're taking a ferry from Padangbai.

The room was really very clean. The cleanest we have seen in the past 3 weeks in Indonesia. The owner Mr Dewa was very friendly.

The location. If you don't have a scooter, it is quite a walk to the nearest beach and to the nearest restaurant. We also didn't like breakfast. Once we had pancakes, that were rubbery and once we had omelette, that was very strange. The fruit salad and fresh juice were nice. Overall, I believe this place costs way too much for what they offer.
