Great hotel in a very convenient location, the staff was so nice and really helpful, Rita at the front desk gave us awesome recommendations and served us drinks at the bar!! A wide variety of food and fresh fruit but also different a la carte choices were available for breakfast. The rooms were clean, the grounds well kept. Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation!!!!

Location is great for in town and another town walking distance, very walkable area. The staff work so hard to please everyone. Rita went out of her way to help me on many occasions. The staff wasn't always being treated well by guests, they put up with a lot and multitask like I've never seen before. Rooms were always cleaned very thoroughly. Hats off to the staff. I stayed at the Royal Riveria first so it was twice the price for a spa , gym, on site restaurant. The staff at Royal Riveria were just okay nothing special. I will return to the Carlton again mot the Royal Riveria.

The pool tile could of used some cleaning dirt and oil build up. It wasn't filthy but wasn't as clean as the Hotel.

Excellent hotel. Very welcoming, rooms very clean and comfortable,and bathrooms very spacious. Breakfast lovely and good choice. Lovely recepionist left a bottle of champagne in my sons room for his 30th birthday .A very lovely gesture and very helpful with all our local travel queries.

Extremely friendly staff, smiling, doing their best to satisfy your needs and requests! Very good location, quiet, close to the sea. Towels provided for the pool or the beach. Nice terrace for the breakfast. Great initiative to organize a jazz event on an evening, with some Prosecco offered to the guests.

A daily complimentary bottle of water would have made it even better.

We were delighted with our 16 day stay at the Hotel Carlton. Very nice spacious room (the Charlotte), impeccably cleaned, and wonderful facilities (outdoor pool, etc). The adorable, good-humored, and very accommodating staff assisted us with sooo many things during our stay, especially with restaurant reservations (and cancellations!) and reserving taxis for trips near and far. We’d informed them that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and Eugenie surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a fruit plate upon our arrival! Rita very quickly sorted out à small problem with the air conditioning, which worked marvelously. She also called a hotel where we’d intended to stay several weeks after our time in Beaulieu, to help us sort out a complicated problem with our reservation at that hotel. Merci infiniment to both of you! Many thanks also to Alicia, Eva, and Marty for your patient assistance during our stay. Thanks very much also to the sweet, friendly breakfast staff (whose names, unfortunately, I don’t remember). Very, very highly recommended!

A Delightful Stay at the Carlton – Highly Recommended I had a truly lovely stay at the Hotel Carlton in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and attentive, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The location is perfect, just a short stroll from public transport links, which made exploring the Côte d’Azur easy and stress-free. Each morning began with a copious and delicious breakfast — a real highlight of the stay. This hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and charm. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Carlton to anyone visiting this beautiful part of France.

The meals available on Room Service could have been better

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to town/train station and beach. Perfect. We had a lovely room with large bay windows making the room light and sunny. Very comfortable with all amenities. Daily housekeeping good. Room service meals very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar and lounge area newly decorated (as are bedrooms) Outside patio seating area very nice for breakfast. My husband and I will definitely be returning to the hotel next year, and Beaulieu-sur-Mer is a perfect destination.

The pool area and hotel signage looks dated (red colour). The black and gold colours used throughout the hotel would look more impressive.

The breakfast was excellent. However, we didn't realise until we checked out that this was not included as the price of a room is very high. The location is excellent with frequent, inexpensive train & bus services operating along the coast in both directions. There are lots of very good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

We booked a 10-day stay and arrived late on Saturday evening. However, the room had no drawers or shelves and the fridge was not working. These problems were sorted on Monday when the hotel management purchased a chest of 3 drawers and replaced the fridge. Apparently, most guests stay only a few days and so the lack of drawers or shelves had not been recognised as an issue.

Quiet Location, close to beach and town. Very clean Hotel and staff very helpful. Breakfast was good and easy self service. Hotel was not large, therefore it was more of a personal service which in some Hotels is lost when they are too large. Good Hotel for adults/couples, not much for children. Very relaxing and comfortable. Plenty of sun loungers.

Breakfast menu were the same every day, although very nice, I get bored with having the same choices every day. No cold ham etc...

I liked the location as although residential it was quiet and with very close proximity to the coast, restaurants nearby, the 2 villas I wanted to visit and the train station. The staff on reception were all excellent, friendly, polite, professional and helpful making recommendations and even booking our daytrip to Eze gardens when we struggled on line to beat the queues. The beds were comfy, balcony overlooking pool but not large enough to actually sit on and the bathroom large (we were in a deluxe). The hotel was newly decorated in a modern interpretation of Art Deco style. I loved the black and white photos of old Nice on the walls.

I thought the breakfast was ok. Not the greatest selection of fresh fruit, a very small fruit bowl and fruit salad, given the French markets are abundant sources and I just couldn't get a decent cup of tea out of those machines. I've definitely had better, especially in 4 * but it was perfectly acceptable. Hard to eat outside with seagulls waiting to swoop down on your breakfast at any given opportunity but they are hungry and protected so just be aware. I thought the outside pool area rather uninviting as a place to relax and could look much better/ more 3* than 4. Red loungers and red brollies....hmmmm . Also through no fault of the hotels' the road outside was being dug up. The communal spaces felt a bit soulless and uninviting despite the new decor.
