Our stay at this hotel was fantastic and incredibly family-friendly from beginning to end. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for traveling with kids. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, always greeting us with a smile and offering helpful suggestions for nearby family activities. We especially appreciated the little touches that made a big difference, like a kid-friendly breakfast selection, safe and quiet hallways, and convenient amenities for parents. The location was great for accessing local attractions, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming for families of all sizes. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay with our family and would gladly return on our next trip.

My daughter and I stayed at Seasider Motel and had the most wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, clean, and welcoming. The location is perfect—tucked just outside the hustle of downtown Bar Harbor, yet close enough to everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was spotless and cozy, with thoughtful touches that made it feel more like a home than a hotel. The grounds are quiet and well-kept, and we loved how easy it was to get to Acadia National Park from the motel. But what really stood out was the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely cared that we had a great stay. Traveling with my daughter made this trip extra special, and Seasider gave us the perfect place to rest and make memories. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bar Harbor. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast was a quick danish/cereal type of breakfast with hot coffee/tea and fruit. Nothing to eat that was hot. There were plenty of fruit bars that could be taken on hikes which was just as good as breakfast. This was a plus especially since we did not bring any trail mixes. The bars were a healthy brand not full of chemicals.The room was very clean and you can tell it was sanitized.

We were on the first floor near the lobby and we had a nice amount of spiders in our room. There wasn't really anything else negative about the motel. It did make for a nice first time experience in Bar Harbor.

Rooms are a good size, clean and well kept. The location is a longer walk from the main downtown area (about 15-20 minutes depending on how fast you walk) than I'd thought, but for the price you can't get much closer. Staff was friendly and helpful, and it was convenient to have the grab and go breakfast option.

This wasn't a super negative, but the bathrooms are a little dated and our door was difficult to close. Also note that the sink, toilet and shower/bathtub are all in one room, like a standard home bathroom, so if you prefer the arrangement where the sink is separate, keep that in mind. I had also assumed from photos on the website that all of the second floor rooms had balconies, but they don't. There is a section in the middle without them, and our room in particular had a partially blocked view because it overlooked the roof of the lobby. It was raining most of our visit, so we didn't miss the balcony that much, but if you definitely want a balcony room, ask for it when you make your reservation.

Our room was clean. We were sceptical about the cleanliness given the reviews of the motel. The breakfast was good as well. The staff kept the items coming out on the table. The spread was limited but everything was good. This motel was one of the rare places where bottled water is free. Plenty of parking was available. The staff is attentive and eager to make your stay comfortable. In the end, I would say compared to other properties in the area, seasider is a good value for money.

The location of the motel is towards the end of the town. The AC in our room was oddly in the bathroom. The curtains did not keep the lights out and it was bright inside the room at night. The room can definitely benefit from some furnishings.

The location and staff were the best. Wished they had more options for breakfast, but what they had was wicked good! Rooms were very quiet as well Pillows and bed were comfy and they gave us lots of towels to start with.

I wish they rooms had rug. It rained the first few days so we tracked in a bunch of dirt even though there were mats out side so floor felt gritty to walk on but we asked for them to be vacuumed mid week and they did and it was great. Floor was cold too just a little rug mauye would make it little cozier Would love a water bottle filling station to safe on water bottles

The room was clean and neat. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The fact that there was always bottled water available in the lobby was especially nice as we did a bit of hiking and could take the water with us in the mornings.

Bug spray smell when we first entered the room, but it cleared up with the balcony and main entrance door opened. I had requested a room on the first floor and there were none available when we arrived. Not the hotel's fault as the didn't get the message from booking. However, there were many rooms on the second floor available and hotels should leave at least one or two room available on the first floor in the event someone disabled shows up.

Location. So close to Cadillac Mountain. Quiet street too. Our room’s location, being in the separate building, placed it farther from other guests, so it nice and quiet. The free snacks, water bottles, juice bottles, and then pastry, fruit, and cereal in the morning, were just perfect.

Doesn’t have a restaurant for a full, or even buffet breakfast. Seem to be shorthanded for cleaning staff to service rooms. Not a motel problem, but while Google maps shows the correct location, the voice guided directions place the motel on the other side of Mount Desert St. (on Eden St. instead of Kebo St.). Somebody needs to inform Google.

Extra friendly staff, very clean room, great wifii and good snacks and beverages available all day (water, coffee and juice). Location was a big plus also. Easy access to restaurants/groceries and easy cycle in/out of Acadia park every day. As a cyclist, this is a HUGE plus.

If asked what could be better, id say breakfast food could be a little healthier. Pasteries in the am just isnt my thing. But maybe its yours? The apples, oranges and bananas were a great plus. But something easy with more substance could be great. This being said, it does not take away from my appreciation of the place and id be very happy to stay here again in the future.

Because we booked this reservation only three days prior to our stay and being summer in Bar Harbor, Maine, with most hotels already full, I think we didn’t expect it to be quite as pleasant as it turned out to be. Cleanliness is our top priority, and the seas met an exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly polite, friendly, and accessible.

There were really just two things that Came to mind. The bathroom door was a sliding door, Which doesn’t provide much privacy. I feel that if any more than one person in a room, the bathroom should have total privacy. The other noticeable discomfort was solely based on personal preference, and therefore not a shortcoming of the hotel. The pillows were very big and thick and caused a little neck discomfort.
