The hotel has an interesting location - it is not on the main street, but a little further on it (but on the walking distance). It gives you a feeling of little remoteness and positively interesting views, which you would not expect. The pool area is very very nice with the view of a field, little mountain with jungle and a estate on the top of the hill. We experienced a great sea views in our trip and it was a nice surprise to not to have a sea view, but have such an enjoyable hill view. Great surprise! The hotel itself is new and modern inside. The personal is attentive and friendly. We also got complimentary vouchers for free drinks.

The hotel was very modern and clean. We opted for a studio room which was very spacious. Having travelled through a lot of Asia, it was great to come across a hotel that had been renovated but remained at reasonable prices. The pool was fantastic and the bar menu was extensive. We stayed for Christmas even and day and the food buffet was plentiful- this was a lovely extra as there was no charge. The singer Jerry Chan who performed on both occasions was exceptional. The staff could not have been friendlier.

Shame non of the rooms have balconies. I was surprised when i arrived in our room as this is something I find as standard. My mistake as I should have noticed this on the photos.

Just before Bayou, I stayed in a 4-star chain hotel and I can say that Bayou was better than the 4-star place in terms of a richer breakfast, bigger pool and great design. But even more importantly, it's the Bayou's staff who made my stay so memorable! Upon the arrival, I was so lucky to have administrator Naz checking me in! He had to reassign a room for me twice until it met my specific requirements, and there was not a shadow of judgement or discontent from his side, only very professional and kind approach! And just thank you to all team members working in a bar tirelessly, or preparing breakfast from 5:30 in the morning, or cleaning the pool area — they were all smiling and so hard-working people. It really felt like coming home every evening. Seriously, if you're looking for a mid-range lovely accomodation in Langkawi with strategic location, Bayou should be your choice! 😍

Great location, walking distance from Pantai Cenang, and at same time far from Pantai’s crowded atmosphere.

Everything about property was good. Starting from the Receptionist, the lady was sweet and kind. Gave us rooms that we had booked. Also gave us free vouchers for Drinks. They had free pop corns too. Pool was good with nice view. All the staff were kind. And this hotel was value for money. Their breakfast was fresh and different everyday. We enjoyed our trip.

The exterior may look simple, but once inside, everything changes peaceful, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. They even started building a ramp so my daughter in a wheelchair could access the sun loungers a truly touching gesture. The pool is lovely, even if not very deep, and the hotel is mostly wheelchair accessible (just missing a few grab bars in the shower and WC). The restaurant and bar are excellent, with delicious food and very reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautifully modern hotel, with great staff and facilities. A quieter beach was not far away, and was then only a short walk to the livelier part of the island. All staff were great and was nice to be able to chill by the pool with a beer later on the in the day. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Langkawi

The staff were so attentive, approachable and enthusiastic, from restaurant recommendations to organising a special celebration for our daughter’s 30th. Fair to say, NOTHING was too much bother. All the staff, from the cleaners right up to senior staff on reception were fantastic, but special mention must go to Mouktar and Naz for being so amazing and simply the best people to have on reception as a first impression for the hotel. Also, Mr Findas who made my husband his fave Tea Tarik daily and made sure that the breakfast service ran smoothly. We had a truly fabulous time. Thankyou to each and everyone of you.

Boy racers using the roads outside of the hotel as if it were a Grand Prix circuit. This was at 3am and woke me up on 2 nights.

The place was superb! It was just renovated and reopen on this year March. All the facilities still new and clean, hope can maintain it as I would like to come back again! All the service crew was professional and passionate when serving us, to be honest this is rare even in a 5 star hotel... The room is having sufficient space and comfy to fit the six of us. The bed and toilet is clean as well! An additional point, they gave us free drink vouchers for either alcohol (beer/wine) nor non-alcoholic drinks (coffee/juice).

The soundproof of the room can be improve to make it perfect. But not so noisy actually, not really a matter. Keep it up to maintain the things currently will make the place be more famous!

The rating doesn't tell the full story. This is a lovely small hotel. Im not sure I can express how comfortable it makes you feel. Everything works and made our stay fabulous. The pool is shallow, long and thin and yet it is just right. Hotel can be busy with kids but there is still space. There are pool towels which they tell you to take.to the beach. Where else would do this? Balls and inflatables.provided for families. The pool surrounds are comfortable. Pool beds have cushions and umbrellas. Arranged in pairs. There are large sofas. Lounging chairs in the pool. A great view into the green forest at rear of the hotel. Little things like offering a complimentary drink. Fruit on a stick around the pool. With a smile. Space around reception area has an open feel. There is a library/business area. A tour desk. Bar and restaurant. Good breakfast buffet offering. The staff are so friendly, helpful and warm. All will stop, chat, say hello. What a wonderful hotel.
