The host was really nice and welcoming. Also the apartment had everything you needed including a heated blanket provided by the host on arrival which helped as slightly cold in the house. Comfy bunk beds. Many DVDs to watch as no smart tv on site. Instructions how to use 4 different remotes would make a difference for non IT people like me..

A bit cold in the bathroom as no heating in there. The head shower is quite small and old and with very low water pressure. Breakfast consisted in butter and jam on toasts, bananas, juice and cereals plus fresh coffee. All left by the host on the previous night on arrival. Also, difficult to find during the night as no clear illuminated signs and google maps takes you to the top of the hill. Some illumination or signs would help.

Superb little place - a gem with beautiful views. Very peaceful which enabled me to complete preparations for work and catch-up on some tranquil sleep. The Shed is spotlessly clean, with everything you could wish for. Little treats were a lovely touch. I would most definitely stay here again & highly recommend. Location is perfect for most things too, which is always an added bonus. I’ve stayed in a few places locally for family/work purposes. This is one of the best. Thanks again.

From the first message to confirm the booking right up until the final message wishing me a safe journey, albeit for a last minute overnight stay (booked it about 22.30hrs), i felt nothing but welcome. The accommodation was clean, tidy and welcoming, simple but effective decoration with a theme of fun within the pictures on the wall, in the morning a continental breakfast and fresh coffee was available and the view from the garden was just amazing, with the roof tops in view and the rolling hills with early morning sunshime and mist coming off them it gave a sense of being in another part of the qorld such as Bavaria or Austria. The welcome pack was informative, even though i was just staying a night and had no intentions of visiting the local area, it definitely gave me the sense of wanting to come back just to visit these places.

The fact i didn't stay another night.

The space was really comfortable and had everything I needed, including toilet, shower, sink, kitchen, a choice of bunk beds and a sofa bed. There was also a large screen TV with Netflix and Sky, and I believe there was a BBQ area and somewhere to lock your MTB, if you came here for Bike Park Wales. There were a good selection of breakfast items waiting for me in the kitchen along with tea and coffee. There were two electric heaters within the room which which kept it very warm.

There was nothing that I didn't like about the property. I'm already looking forward to a return visit next year!

Excellent, best breakfast I've had in a very long time. Lynne was very welcoming and supportive throughout my stay. As a young care leaver I didn't have anywhere to stay so my social worker asked Lynne if it was ok for me to stay for 1 night, Lyne was great I will definitely be recommending to others in my situation.

Lovely little place, it was spotless and equipped with everything I needed and more, particularly enjoyed the electric blanket. The breakfast was a really nice touch and I really enjoyed my stay!

Made the mistake of walking from town and the shed is at the top of a very large hill. If I was staying for longer I think I’d have struggled to cook without a hob/proper cooker.

Fantastic location for my 2 days at bike park wales (10 minute drive). Lynne was great and allowed me to put my bike inside so it was safe and sound. I could park my car right outside on the drive too. Breakfast being available was a very nice bonus.

Everything was great for me, and ticked all the boxes I needed it too. Some may have an issue with all the beds being single bunk beds - not an issue for me though.

What an absolute gem of a place. It's in the front "garden" area of a house on the hill coming out of the Heolgerrig suburb of Merthyr Tydfil which overlooks the town from a mountainside. When I got near my satnav misdirected me and I turned into a little private driveway that led to a few houses behind the venue. There a friendly neighbour, Howard, gave me directions and we chatted for a while about the area. The usual Welsh welcome I'm proud to say. After getting to the right address I was met by Lynne, the very friendly owner who showed me round. It's a decent sized cabin building with two sets of bunks in one corner and a sofa that opens out into a double bed so it sleeps 6 but I believe there was a fold up bed under one of the bunks so you may be able to squeeze in 7 but best check first! There's a TV on the wall with a Sky TV box and Firestick plus a drawer full of DVDs. The bathroom is a decent size and the electric shower is easy to use and excellent. The kitchen area comes with supplies for breakfast, plenty of tea and coffee and milk to go with it. It literally has has everything you need as I discovered when I looked through the other drawers having discovered the DVD stash. I was able to park my motorbike on the decking area by the front door which gave me piece of mind. It looks like there may be a garden area that you can access from the side door but I didn't venture out. All in all one of the best places I have stayed in. To top it off, as I got ready to leave, Howard the neighbour drove past and gave me a wave :) :)

Perfect for what I needed - I was in the area for work and needed an overnight stay - It was effortless to find and close to plenty of places to eat and easy access to the main roads. Clean, comfortable, and cosy with all the usual extras: TV, En-suite shower and toilet, WiFi etc! I'm going to come back in the spring with my son to get some walking in, too!

The accommodation was very cosy and very homely, and the warm welcome by the host was wonderful! She even went out to buy some fruit for me! And the price was unbeatable! I can't fault this property!

A double bed replacing the bunk beds would make this absolutely PERFECT for a couple, maybe looking to do a walking weekend in Bannau Brycheiniog. I would DEFINITELY return with my partner for this reason if there were a double bed.
