We loved the breakfast and dinner, the staff were friendly and and the horizons staff gave attention to detail. My wife and I loved the room with sea view and balcony.

The fact that you can see the beach but it was quite a long walk to get there, apart from this small detail the hotel is a lovely place to stay.

We stayed in an executive suite. It was lovely & spacious. We had a sea view & balcony, which was perfect. The breakfast was amazing, never had a better breakfast anywhere. We also had dinner in the restaurant the 2 days of our stay, which was also amazing! We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends!

The alcoholic drinks could be a bit cheaper

Decent hotel with good access to train station to get to Edinburgh. Great value compared to summer city centre prices and a peaceful break from the hustle and bustle. Room was adequate but wish I had paid extra for sea view. Great breakfast and warm friendly staff. We used the hotel as a cheaper alternative to staying in Edinburgh which was very expensive due to fringe and Oasis concert! About a 15-20 minute walk to the station and regular direct trains to Edinburgh and at least half the price of a city centre hotel. Worked well for us.

Not much going on nearby both Kinghorn and Burntisland are very quiet so not much to do outside the hotel. We did have dinner at the Sands up the road which was very nice.

The Staff were excellent and nothing too much trouble. The breakfasts and standard of food was really great. We had dinner each evening during our stay and there were no disappointments at all. The location was wonderful with beautiful views of the Firth of Forth which we enjoyed immensely.

As we booked an executive suite we expected a comfortable King size bed but we found the mattress to be thin and quite uncomfortable and we could hear the springs when turning over. If the hotel invested in good, deep, new mattresses this would ensure an even higher score and lots of return clients.

The staff did a great job, always warm and friendly,the restaurant was amazing what a view. The food was fresh and hot and served promptly.the breakfast was our highlight of the day wow !!. We didn't use the amenities such as the pool etc, but the people using it looked happy .

The room was described as premier Deluxe,in reality it was no better than a 3 star on holiday in Spain, the bed was made a king size by pushing to single beds together. The mattress was sprung by big springs very outdated when pocket spring mattress are the norm now, not very comfortable.now let's look at the bathroom a healthy and safety nightmare for people of a certain age the bath was very deep with no aids to get in and out, should have had handles fitted on wall and bath top the shower was a static type, no movement on the head made it difficult to have a decent and enjoyable shower,glad to get home to have a modern and safe shower and finally the mirrors, who needs all round mirrors, especially when your sat on the toilet.

I had the full Scottish Breakfast the staff were happy to change an item on the list for another it was freshly cooked and hot.

It seemed a little odd that having Pre-Paid for my room I was asked to provide a £100 deposit reimbursed on my departure? A Fire alarm went off whilst eating breakfast about 0830 am. None of the staff apart from 1 seemed to know what to do and it took too much time to ask me to leave to go to the assembly area. On my return to my room after the event there were customers coming out of their rooms and I was having to inform them that it was a false alarm! I think you need to give your staff more training about firearms etc. I would still return and stay at the hotel as it was very enjoyable.

Beautiful beach views from room and restaurant. Beautiful and spatious room with beach view (executive suite). The children loved the swimming pool (and appreciated the arcade and the soft play). Hotel is easily accessible by train and has the feel of a mini-resort (with restaurant on site, swimming pool and leisure centre). We also enjoyed spending some time on the beach (it took us about 15-20min to get to Pettycur beach). Staff was friendly.

The changing rooms for the swimming pool were not clean on a Saturday evening, when the pool was busy. The bathtub in our room did not look very clean. This was not significant as our room was otherwise very clean and comfortable.

Rooms are fab, there were 5 of us 2 adults and 3 kids in executive family room. Loads of room fab views over Forth. Facilities in room were excellent. The swimming pool was fab and kids loved it. You use towels from room and take them to reception to get fresh after each pool visit. On one occasion no fresh towels at reception, so had to use damp towels when we were next in the pool.

Meals - Had a lovely dinner in Horizon restaurant. Breakfast next morning was continental buffet and you could choose from hot menu. Though we found a bit hit and miss. 4 of us had sausages with ours, they were not the best, and hot croissants were small and very dry. Took kids to the gaming area, lots of machines out of order, there was a motorbike wish my grandson put his money in, then it didn't work, no notice of who to contact regarding issues, and a disappointed boy.

Hotel is extremely clean, the restaurant food is delicious and staff are very helpful and friendly.

Room has floor to roof window on the upstairs level looking out over the sea, which would have been lovely to lie in bed and see the views, sunset and sunrise over firth of forth - But when sitting down in bed the view is completely blocked due to a high foot board on the bed frame. Stayed with young kids so sitting on the balcony in December to see the views was cold, and couldn't appreciate the views from beds in room. If we had booked at a warmer time of year this wouldn't have been any issues as the beach is on the doorstep, loved our stay here apart from the enormous bed frame blocking the views in the room.

Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Generous portions of good food. Rooms of the hotel are clean, well-kept(despite showing age), and generously stocked with towels. Nice view from the seaside room, and especially out of the restaurant in the morning.

It was confusing to find the reception of the hotel. Despite there being signs, it was a struggle to find the entrance while dead tired from traveling. The shower was dated, especially the protective glass screen that leaked water, and the shower head isn't handheld.
