The staff in the Victoria Hotel from the front desk to the wait staff were unbelievably attentive and gracious. When we informed them that we had an early flight and would miss breakfast, they prepared us a box lunch. Our bed was super comfy and our room was larger than most rooms we've had in Scotland. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer.

From the first welcome to our final goodbye, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean (except a few dust bunnies). The food for breakfast was fantastic, fresh and tasty, with a good range of options. The evening meals were again lovely and fresh. But possibly a mix of different veg would have been nice. Peas and carrots are not everyone's favourite. Only downside was the shower being weak and taking a while to warm up. However, it did not dampen our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and we would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Very clean and tidy. Staff were excellent. Food was good. We had free parking and hotel is a good starting point to explore Fife.

I booked ahead and asked for a decent room as it was our anniversary. My request was acknowledged positively. On Arrival I was given keys to room 9 which was tiny and had a window that was frosted over with no view. I complained and was moved to room 3 which was excellent. Minor points that I didn't like was the bed although comfortable was only a double and the floor in the shower cubicle was extremely slippy although there was a hand hold on the cubicle wall but showering with one hard is not easy.

The bed was very comfortable. The room cam with a fan which was very nice for when the weather was warmer. The room was very clean and well kept. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is also close to an Aldi and the train station which is very convenient. There are also quite a few sit-in restaurants that are about a 5-10 minute walk away so you always have options available.

I would have loved to have a mini refrigerator in the room ( I would have been willing to pay more if the room came with one ). The Wi-Fi was quite quick but would drop out routinely requiring you to reconnect frequently ( maybe 2 to 3 times per hour )

Very comfortable room with friendly staff, an excellent breakfast and a solid restaurant menu. I particularly enjoyed the Haddock Mornay (haddock with mashed potatoes, spinach and cheesy mornay sauce) - it would be worth returning for! Good car parking with two set aside as accessible.

All the rooms are on the first floor and the height to the first floor is higher than normal. No easy to use handrail provided. That said I was able to leave my lightweight mobility scooter in reception and the staff and other guests were very helpful - carrying my bags up the stairs.

Cooked breakfast was excellent, the black pudding and haggis were delicious. The staff serving breakfast were lovely, very homely. Great service. Ann Marie on reception was very friendly and accomodating, she booked our taxi to the wedding venue. We came from Lanarkshire and asked for an early check in which was honoured. Could not fault the staff. They were all excellent. Room was spacious and clean, shower was enormous! Beds were comfy.

We were in Room 2 which was the twin room to the front of the hotel facing into the road. It was noisy with traffic and the patrons leaving the bar were chatty..😂 But we were tired after a long day, and soon got over to sleep. The big bay window of this period property isn’t double glazed, so expect some traffic noise for sure.

Great location for the train station only 8 minutes walk room was clean and tidy but a bit on the small side very comfortable but compact didn't have a view from window with frosted glass, and very warm even though there was no heating on we had to sleep on top of the bed because it was too warm to get in,staff were very friendly and helpful breakfast selection excellent I enjoyed a cooked breakfast every morning. Overall had a good time and would recommend.

On are last night we had an evening meal mine was good but as my wife is a vegetarian I asked if they could do something different from what she'd had on the first night, they said they had a couple of portions of ratatouille which I said would be fine as she likes that but when it came to the table it was lacking in ingredients about 7/8 pieces of vegetables and 95% tomato puree not impressed considering it cost more than my gammon stake chips and salad. Gammon £12.50 Vegetarian option £12.95 not impressed.

Was staying several times throughout the month as I was working up at the hospital, the hotel is in a great location in relation to the hospital, only a ten minute walk. Prices were very reasonable and the rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful especially with my early starts and late check ins. Prepared packed lunches for me and kept my suitcase when I was on shift. Helped me when my shower wasn’t working one night, let me use one of the showers in an empty room which was soooo helpful and I really appreciated it!

It’s an old house so sometimes I could hear people moving about in the neighbouring rooms etc when I was trying to sleep but that’s not anyone’s fault really. One morning a housekeeper came into my room at 8/8.30am-ish when I was still sleeping haha but I suppose she expected me to be gone as I usually was by then!

The hotel was in a good position, the town centre is close by and so is the train station. There is free parking available. The hall, the bar and the dining room of the hotel are beautiful. Staff was polite and helpful. Breakfast was OK, not the best we had in Scotland but still good. The room was spacious and the bed comfy.The bathroom of our room was clean and big. Good price for one night.

It was very hot in the room, there was a window but it was non possibile to open It completely. The carpet of the room was stained in some parts.

Room was excellent. A few steps from bed to bathroom which was very suitable for my husband. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to choose from and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go back. We also had dinner there and had a good choice of menu and food was delicious.

Only thing was the shower. Not a lot of power but did the job. Being in the older category we could have done with a mat on the tray as we found it quite slippy when wet.
