This hotel is adjoined to a Church, with rooms set around a central court yard. It was very sensibly priced verses all the other hotel options (rooms were clean, breakfast was simple) and was a great place from which to explore Naples. It is in a safe district and was easy for us to jump on the metro M1 to get around the city to see the various attractions or get down to the sea front. What made this place were the staff, Luigi and Elisabeth on the front desk were absolutely lovely, they could not do enough to help us, whether it was suggesting things to do, favorite restaurants, helping booking taxis, they were AMAZING. We would go back simply to see them again.

Beautiful views with hilltop breezes that are a relief from the summer heat. Charming plaza nearby full of restaurants, shops, and locals. Well connected by 1 subway line, 3 funiculars, and buses. Formerly served as the monastery for the church next door, so there's an atrium and tall ceilings. Appreciated that the included breakfast had fresh cut fruit!

The shower in our room was so small and didn't have any way to hold soaps other than setting it on the floor, which is inconvenient, and at worst, inaccessible for people who can't bend over or people who can't see clearly in the shower.

A good night's sleep can be a precious commodity in Naples, so a simple solution is to stay up in Vomero where the Chiostro is located. It's a former cloister and has retained that calm, but has been refurbished to include modern conveniences that the nuns probably lacked! It has only been open for about 2 years now, so everything is in mint condition. The rooms are generous in size and very well laid out. No surplus furniture or wacky decorations, just immaculately maintained and calming rooms. Although the site also maintains a cafe/bar, we had no issues with noise. It might be more of an issue with rooms facing the courtyard, but I got the impression that there was good sound-proofing. We faced the entrance side ourselves and had no issues. The cafe/bar itself is also an asset if you want a quick bite or refreshments. The local crowd love the courtyard, which is cleverly covered with transparent awning, so its also weatherproof. Breakfast is the standard Italian mix of a few meat, fruit and dairy options, but chiefly pastries, which are a cut-above. It's machine coffee, which is a pity, but the cafe doesn't open first thing in the mornings. The staff were great and very informative. A nice gesture was their realising that the automatic lights on our corridor had broken, so they placed temporary lights at each end. The Chiostro's USP is probably the uninterrupted view of the cityscape and Bay of Naples from the rooftop. The staff justifiably regard it as the best panorama in the city.

Nothing the guesthouse can help, but access does involve crossing a fairly busy road, which is slightly blinded by current construction. It's unusual in Vomero, which is probably the most pedestrianised part of Naples, but some caution is required. There is a zebra crossing, but be wary still. Breakfast got slightly patchy as the week went on, so a couple of things like cutlery and the juice dispenser could have done with a restock. Staff are quick to respond, but a quick stock take would help. These are minor considerations overall, and it offers real value.

A beautiful hotel with great character and atmosphere. Professional and friendly staff. Great communication to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room had a super view and we loved seeing Capri in early evening. The bedroom was very spacious and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was fantastic and well appointed. The main terrace was lovely for a coffee, a well priced menu for light lunch or an apertivo. Located in a quiet area and only a few mins to the main upmarket areas for shopping, food and drinks. Vomero is beautiful and a welcome change after the lively chaos of the city centre. Handy for the metro or jump on the funicular to Montesanto for spectacular city views. We had an early flight and received a breakfast bag with all the essentials. A gorgeous stay and experience.

I’ve stayed one night at this beautiful hotel and it was the best decision I could take as a solo female traveller. The location is super safe and yet so close to the funicular and metro to get to the city centre in a few minutes. The neighbourhood has plenty of shops and restaurants as well. The hotel is beautiful with a huge terrace where you can see Napoli and Capri. The staff were so accommodating and attentive and they spoke several languages including Spanish and English. I was greeted with a lot of recommendations and upon my arrival they gifted me with an upgrade to the best suite they had which had such nice sea view! I would definitely recommend staying here! Really handy location for metro, local shops and loads of restaurants. There is a great view of the sea from the veranda at the front entrance and the courtyard was a nice place to chill with a drink in the evening. Loved the antique furniture that was in the hallways, on our floor there was an old singer sewing machine and a piano. The staff were very welcoming and as we were leaving before breakfast on our last day they kindly organised a takeaway breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and unusual it was a proper double rather than 2 single strapped together. The en-suite was a good size and plenty of fresh towels were available daily. Despite the reception not being 24hours the building felt safe and secure.

Over all no real complaints however there were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room until our last night. I don’t realise before I mention it to the staff if I’d asked earlier in the stay they would have provided it soon.

Constant Street/noise from bistro seating outside meant we could not have windows open. Room was stuffy even with AC. Had we stayed more than 2 nights we would have asked for a courtyard room- those seemed much nicer. Would have been nice to have a kettle and an iron. Only bath gel/shampoo combo was provided- no conditioner,lotion, or bar soap.

Absolutely stunning hotel - blew us away upon arrival. Our double room (#10) was massive, with an incredible view of the water. Best way to wake up everyday! It had everything we needed. The location was brilliant, in a very safe but lively area that was nearby the metro and furnicular. Lots of restaurants etc. nearby, but also easy to hop on the metro and get to any of the main attractions quite quickly. The staff were lovely, when we checked in we were provided with a map and a very good review of what to see and do in Naples. Upon check out, staff were super helpful with allowing us to store our bags, and organising a taxi, confirming price, etc. They even waited outside with me while we waited for the taxi to arrive. The bed was comfortable, water pressure in the shower was excellent, and it was overall very quiet. There was one night (a Sunday) that was a little noisey from the cafe/bar below but I still slept like a baby! Breakfast was also excellent, generous spread of the standard Italian breakfast items. I wish we could have stayed longer, it was such a beautiful hotel. Oh and don't forget to go up to the 3rd floor to check out the view from the terrace!

Beautiful and safe location, close to underground, good breakfast, clean rooms with comfortable mattresses, amazing view from the top. Wonderful assortment for breakfast and coffee. The staff made our espresso and American coffee fresh and on the spot. The cleaning staff checked in on us and gave us extra towels, bed sheets, soap/shampoo and water (still and sparkling) without us even asking - unlike the hotels in the US who can be stingy on these things! We loved how the location was close to tons of shopping and restaurants.

The air conditioning could have been cooler. It didn’t reach the temperature we chose using the remote, it seemed to only go up to a certain point. But it was unclear as it also seemed like the air con thermostat was broken. It definitely was working and was cooler than outside temperature but could have been cooler. The mini fridge in our room also did not work at all, so none of our drinks stayed cold.
