Arrived onna sunny afternoon, the garden and bar was buzzing with a great atmosphere and friendly banter from the bar staff. Shown to our excellent room (No.2) which was large, clean, comfortable and a lovely breeze coming from the open sash window. Had dinner the choice was plentiful and nothing not available. Slept well, and checked out in the morning with no issues at all. Would recommend and will stay again

The fan in the bathroom was a little noisy - not really an issue though everthing perfect

Excellent staff who did their best to find us a quiet room. Large room and bathroom. Kingsized bed which was very comfortable. Countryside location though on a busy road. Excellent dinner with large choice of wines.

We had to change rooms because of the music noise from the bar area immediately below. Our second room was slightly better but we could still hear the pop music. The same music was loud in the bar/dining area but the kind staff turned it off. Why have pop music where it isn't necessary?

We liked everything. We were travelling back from the highlands home and stopped off in Lancashire to see family and have an overnight rest. The decor was lovely and the view from the window. It was just really chilled and cosy and we didn't even unpack or leave the bar or restaurant. The pub/hotel also had a nice outside area. We had dinner but did not have time to stay for breakfast. We wished we could have stayed another night. I felt the staff were a really good team as well. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It was so nice to be able to open the window if needed and there was a bath which you do not always get anymore.

Lovely room, plenty of tea, coffee ,milk and spares on the landing so that you didn't have to go downstairs and ask for more. Extra pillows in the room and lovely shower gel, shampoo etc in the the bathroom. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Was great to have little extras in the room too, such as a standard hairdryer.

Great locaton for our overnight visit to the Trough of Bowland area. The staff were really friendly, we had a large comfortable room and enjoyed an excellent evening meal (proper cooking!). Having a couple of well kept cask beers to choose from was a real bonus.

The breakfast menu was a bit OTT for us, a decent cup of coffee, some cereal and toast would have been nearer the mark!

A real country pub with superb, above avarage restaurant facilities and cooking quality. The restaurant is well visited during the evenings and we can understand why. The surrounding countryside is lovely for an evening walk. Staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was comfortable and bathroom facilities wonderful.

Located on a reasonably busy road, there is some traffic noise during evenings. Quiet during the night though.

Great location with easy parking. Good size rooms and comfortable large beds. Good choice on the dinner and breakfast menus, however personally I would like to have seen more fruit on the continental section of the breakfast.

The stairs to the bedrooms were steep and dark. Rooms were large enough for a little more furniture and could benefit from a luggage stand or similar

Lovely room. Nice location. Stayed for dinner. Excellent service and good quality food. Due to snow, the chef couldn’t get in for breakfast so the manager stepped up and served a large cooked buffet style breakfast for all the guests. He worked very hard and then didn’t charge us for the meal. Very good customer service. We’d stay again.

The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had dinner one night in the restaurant which was very good. For breakfast the cooked options were freshly made and delicious. The selection of cereals were limited, but fine.

Beautiful room, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Food was tasty and well priced. Great base for visiting family in Longridge. Farm shop on the other side of the road well worth a visit.

Mould above the window but did not spoil the stay but needs to be addressed.
