We arrived by bicycle after a visit to Keukenhof Gardens and received a warm welcome from the lovely staff & hotel owner. They offered us to keep our bikes in the courtyard. The room was fabulous. The bed was so big and comfy and the shower was just AMAZING! Everything was clean with fluffy soft towels. Fridge with some soft drinks provided and proper coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. Just a short walk to a variety of restaurants to eat in the evening in the lovely town of Lieden. We enjoyed the check out time of 11am so we didn’t feel rushed in the morning of our departure. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay very relaxing.

The room and the furniture were exactly like at the pictures. The beds were very nice, big and comfortable. There were all what you need in the bathroom: good clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion 👍🏻 The kitchen is small but very useful and nice 👌 You can have very tasty free coffee or tea ☕️ in the hall of the hotel, and for us it was very nice because outside was cold and rainy and my husband had a recovery period after leg accident. The girl on the reception desk was very attentive, friendly and helpful ❤️Her name is Evelina and we were very grateful for her help and support. Near the hotel (5 minutes) you can find very good supermarket (open till 21:00). I advise this hotel 🏨 and with a big pleasure will choose it the next time in Leiden. Anyone who has ever rented a hotel in the Netherlands will understand why we were pleasantly surprised.😃

This kitchen is missing at least a small electric stove, a frying pan and a saucepan. This would allow guests to prepare a simple breakfast or dinner.🍽️🍳🥞

The hotel was very nicely ambiented, modern, sleek and comfortable. The personnel were super friendly and professional. Nice bikes are offered to tour around. The location right on the canal is perfect!

The bathrooms are small and the showers narrow. When one of us arrived the check in counter was vacant and we had to use the other room to get ready as we were on a rush. We were given the ground floor rooms just because we were the last ones to check in, it would have been nice to know that in advance. The hotel doesn't have a coffee shop or breakfast room and coffee shops open only around 10 on the weekends.

We were happy to be able to check in a little early and then plan for a long quiet sleep as a catch up to our overseas flight. The staff were very kind and friendly and the accommodation was excellent. We chose not to have breakfast but it was available if we had wished.

Everything important was 10%. As for small items : The bathroom was slightly small and the rain-shower head spray was a little extensive. The alternative shower head was fine, being a little lower. The under counter light was a puzzling to operate in the ON position, sometimes staying on, sometimes on for a short time.

We had a pleasant stay at this fairly new hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s rest. The location is excellent - close to everything we needed - and the staff were very friendly, even though they didn’t speak Dutch. We appreciated the opportunity to share some feedback about their new breakfast service; breakfast was decent and offered a good start to the day.

The pillows were quite hard, even though two different types were provided. Also, the hotel’s air conditioning system switched on and off during the night, which was a bit disruptive. Still, overall an excellent experience and we will book it again, if the price / quality remains the same.

Excellent facilities: free coffee and cooled or sparkling water, small kitchenette including a micro-wave and some utensils. The room and bed are large, the TV has chromecast functionality allowing you to stream content like Netflix to the TV if you want to relax. The price is, understandably, quite high but I managed to stay on a discount in which case the value was really high.

This is a "low staff" location. No staff is present in the evening and night. This is usually not a problem but I can imagine that it becomes problematic when you do have an issue at night. A minor thing, but I was not told how to check out (and I forgot to ask), and in the morning there was no one at reception yet. So I left the key at the desk, and I assume that was alright. I was in room 2 on the street side. In the early evening and early morning I could clearly hear cars and people, but not so much that I couldn't sleep so it is fine. The location is relatively far from the center, though the bonus is that's a bit more quiet.

Outstanding little hotel in a city where there is no abundance of hotels. That being said, it is really a pleasure to enjoy the hospitality of the Breathe hotel and its amazing staff. Yes, the rooms are nice and comfortable, yes everything is spotless, yes the coffee machine in the lobby produces great coffee, but by far the most impressive are the staff. Those young people are truly friendly, well mannered, with perfect English, very enthusiastic about their job, completely knowledgable about their town of Leiden, and jovial about their job. Congratulations to the HR who chose such outstanding group of young people to work there.

I would probably be happier if there was a regular breakfast option. But than again, I would not be able to enjoy a walk and breakfast at the Leiden center.

The hotel was in an attractive and peaceful part of Leiden by a canal. The room was very comfortable and quiet and made good use of the space. The bed was very large and comfortable and the thick curtains ensured that we had a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly.

The cleaning staff automatically changed our towels so I had to ask them specifically not to, which unfortunately made them think that we didn't want them to clean our room. Later, when I needed one towel to be changed, they changed the whole lot uneccessarily. It would be good if the hotel could adopt a policy like some other hotels whereby staff don't change the towels unless guests put them on the floor. This would be much better for the environment and save the hotel money which could be reflected in the room price.

The hotel Is super pleasant, clean, organise, I love that you pay attention to all the details ( having the coffee machine and water for free, the personalise message in my room upon my arrival, the chocolates on the room, and so on). The hotel being so discreet from the outside, in the middle of living houses and inside super modern and beautiful! The room is super comfortable and functional. The staff were always super friendly and helpful! I really don’t have anything negative to point out!

Nice cute hotel. Had a warm welcome by the friendly staff. Room was very clean and modernly furnished. Coffee and tea in the room (also 24/7 available in the lobby for free), small kitchenette with a mini fridge and necessary amenities. Supermarket just a few minutes walk. Good area, located on a quiet street. Would book here again whenever we’ll be in Leiden.

Pillows were a bit too big. Would’ve been nice to have some pillows that are comfortable for side/belly sleepers. And as a minor inconvenience, we parked 10-15min walk away for cheaper parking.
