The staff at the reception were very nice: welcoming, responsive and polite. The bed was good, comfortable to sleep in. The location is amazing, close to Leiden train station but at the same time very quiet, zero street noise. Good drawer in the bathroom to keep your stuff

The shower had no door (by design) so the water was always on the floor. The room was a bit small especially at the entrance.

Lucky to get large room at back of the hotel so no problems with traffic noise. Very well located for transport for the whole region. Comfortable beds and good heating in a cold, wet spell.

As Brits we would have appreciated more ‘normal’ tea bags in the room and also milk for tea not just coffee creamer. However, we realise that our tea drinking habits were not the norm in The Netherlands so used our own teabags and went out and bought milk

The room is amazingly spacious. Unlike all other hotels we have stayed in this trip, Tulip Inn Leiden Centre charged us when we checked out. All other hotels collected the payment before we checked in.

There is no fridge in the room. If you only dine out it won't be any problem. But still you may want to keep some drink cool and chill. There is no safe either.

The rooms were large and very comfortable. Kept very clean and towels changed more than was necessary. The breakfast was excellent - one of the best breakfast buffets we have had! Such a choice and always fresh. Very convenient for the Train and Bus Stations and yet a short walk to the town centre. Did not have dinner in the Restaurant but had some Bar Snacks one evening which were very good.

Would have liked a door or curtain on the hanging space. Better lighting in the corridors would be good - found it a bit dark.

Second time at the hotels. First time in January we booked Golden Tulip. Now I had the experience of Tulip Inn. A bit more economical than the first one with minor differences mostly in the decoration and absence of amenities like refrigeration and magnifying mirror in the bathroom. If you don't need them I would suggest Tulip inn. Because all the others are the same. The good quality white linen , the cleaningness, the renovated bathrooms. Also the very comfortable pillows and mattress. The two hotels are in the same building with same reception restaurant and all. Simply, some of the rooms are rated with 3 stars not 4 I guess. Friendly personel and free luggage room. Every hour after 13.00 is considered late check-out and charged 15 euros. The location is most important for our choice just opposite Leiden Centraal. I also want to thank the hotel personel and the Booking.com because they managed to split my reservation even if it was unrefundable and under a strict policy . We will come again!

The room was very nice, with comfortable furniture (especially the leather sofa across from TV) and great view. Complimentary teas and coffee of course are always a nice addition. Hotel is located very close to train station and within walking distance from city center, surrounded by big roads however sound isolation is impeccable.

No particular complaints, however (heads up to the hotel management) the table seemed not sturdy enough to carry TV set, coffee machine, kettle and the rest - the wood of tabletop is visibly bent under all this weight, maybe better to fix that before it snaps.

Great service and accommodating staff, functional and comfortable - exactly what we wanted. Great breakfast (get a toaster!!)

Shower was clogged and outside the window was very noisy in the mornings even though it was weekend (emptying trash on the weekend!?).. Loved the breakfast but why on earth don't you have a toaster!?

The property is literally 5 minutes from Leiden Central so utilising the trains was super convenient. The breakfast was amazing and the morning staff was always willing to fill our water bottles before we headed out for the day. Parking our car was easy and convenient.

We had a problem when we arrived and because we were very tired it seemed enormous.However all the staff tried to deal with it and worked hard to get the broken door to work. As a consequence we were upgraded to a room next door to our grand daughters and that worked well. Every thing we asked about the staff were delightful and very helpful from parking the car to having a meal. Thank you. The breakfast was fantastic with a wonderful choice and the meal we had in the hotel we all thought was delicious and they left out the thing that some of us weren’t fond of which was the blue cheese so clean plates all round. All staff were very good.

The breakfast was excellent, by far best breakfast we had at a hotel during our three weeks in Holland. The staff was super. Our dachshund (and we as well) loved the "doggybag" he got. Just five minutes walk to the railway station was perfect for us as we travelled by train.
