The property is in a beautiful setting in the tea hills, views from the room terrace are outstanding. The room is spacious, bathroom also. Breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of good food. I highly recommend taking part in the evening walk through the nearby tea plantation. The early morning hike was also wonderful, a good way to see birds, plants (cardamom, etc) and the countryside, though challenging for anyone not used to ups and downs. The staff here were all very gracious and helpful.

Lovely hotel with a great setting and views over the hills, tea plantations surrounding Munnar. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a sitting area. Nice terrace from where to admire the view and sit out if you wish. Big modern bathroom. Restaurant where breakfast and dinner were served offered a good selection of dishes and food was excellent. Located about 20 mins from central Munnar in quiet surroundings, it feels a bit away from it all with a relaxing atmosphere. Just what we wanted!

We stayed for two nights on our visit to Munnar - arriving in the evening following a lengthy drive from Kochi. The check in staff were welcoming and the rooms were exactly as advertised - lovely and spacious with an amazing view over the valley and mountains. Everywhere in the hotel you get fantastic views, even in the elevator! We saw the most beautiful sunrise ever as the hotel is located so high up in the mountains. Our teenage children really enjoyed the games room, playing on the carrom board, table tennis, chess and ping pong and my husband used the gym which was reasonably well equipped. We had afternoon tea in their delightful team room with outstanding views. The room cleaning staff were excellent, making amazing towel origami! We tried out several different types of ayurvedic massages at the hotel, all of which were priced similar to other places in Munnar. It was more convenient and nicer to have the massage at the hotel than going to one of the local massage shops in Munnar, as pushed by our driver. I had the most amazing 3.5 hours “Aakash” treatment at the hotel, given by Nishita, which included a sandalwood detoxifying full body scrub and polish, a full body abhyanga massage, a foot massage, steam, shirodhara (pouring of warm oil on forehead) and a complimentary Ayurvedic royal facial where the best natural products were used on my face, including beetroot! My husband and both my teenage boys also had the most amazing massages by Varun. We spoke to Dr Reju Ravindran, the Ayervedic doctor at the hotel who gave us very useful complimentary advice and also recommended some medicine for my knees which really worked. Thank you very much to Dr Reju and his entire team…we will certainly recommend this hotel based on the excellent Ayurvedic services they provided. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and found the food to be excellent and tasty. We tried the buffet and a la carte and ate in a dining room with the most amazing views.

Great hotel, with a stunning view of a valley full with tea plants! Hotel also had all facilities needed for a nice stay. Pool was great, as you could enjoy the great view whilst swimming around

Bathroom was somewhat small and the shower screen/door was not propperly installed, with result that water leaked throughout the bathroom whilst showering. It seemed they tried to fix it with sealant and a extra strip (see photo), but it did not work!

The location

A little jaded. Food not good and unfortunately, Munnar does not have a night life so one is forced to eat in house. This is a 4 star property and certainly not 5 star. Dining staff a little casual. Like, we had ordered a chicken manchow soup and were served a vegetarian one but billed for the higher value. While signing I did point it out and they promised to rectify. At check out, I forget to check it and later realised that it had not been rectified. It’s a small amount but shows inefficiency!

The hotel is built into the hillside high up in Munnar so the views are spectacular. Watching the sun rise was wonderful. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I was also upgraded to a wonderful suite that I think may have been bigger than my house!

The gardens and swimming pool were nice but felt a little overlooked, but I'm not sure how much they are used given how much there is to do around there. Also, and a minor point for most, but I like a glass of wine with dinner and I realised it's a dry hotel.

the hotel layout is confusing as they lobby is located on level 0 and all the rooms from minus 1 to minus 4 and then you head over to another elevator to go to levels minus 6 to 8. Things are not clearly indicated and it’s confusing navigating this hotel . The hotel claims to be a 5 star but is more like a 3 star hotel. The restaurant had amazing food and variety. Check-in process was nice as they offer you warm drinks etc. Check-out process took a very long time and we got delayed for our next part because of it

The rooms were impeccably prepared upon our arrival, a testament to the resort’s commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction. The spa facilities were nothing short of amazing, offering a rejuvenating escape from the daily grind.

The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the views were absolutely stunning, especially from the restaurant balcony where we enjoyed our meals. Above all, the staff at the reception and restaurant were outstanding. A special thank you to Sachin and Armpits for their exceptional service and care. Their hospitality truly made our stay memorable!

We had a wonderful stay at Fragrant Nature and definitely look forward to visiting there again as well as recommending it to friends. The Prana Spa was the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the rejuvenating Ayuvedic massages. The spa and other staff were efficient and courteous. All together, a great place to relax, chill and detox in the lap of nature. There was'nt anything to complain about. A minor problem was getting there on the first day since Google map led us astray. It really had nothing to do with the property. Taught us that Google cannot be trusted always
