Excellent breakfast. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We really felt welcome. Good location to Termini. Felt safe in the area at night.

Mattress was a little more firm than I like, but still slept well, otherwise, it was a great stay.

The staff were excellent and friendly - the hotel is down a quite road and was very clean throughout, although the rooms are small its ideal for what is needed - cleaned every day new towels and bed linen- Breakfast was varied and well laid out. I loved the idea of having to leave room key at reception each time I went out and collect it after as it saves worry about loosing it whilst out but also shouts safety to me as they know who is still in the building if any emergency evacuation had to be done so well done on this simple and effective safety control

Domus Helena is modern, clean and comfortable, but most of all, it offers a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Location could have been marginly better, but this is only a minor issue as there is a Metro station nearby.

Location is quite available. Simple but well-equipped room. Staffs are all kind and nice. Rich breakfast choices.

Street facing room would hear noisy though windows all closed.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. The metro station is very close, you can also walk to Termini station. The hotel is very clean, you can see that special care is taken about this. Excellent breakfast, I like that they offer a real continental breakfast, not Italian breakfast like most hotels in Italy that I personally don't like. I like that the hotel has taken security measures that were not there when I stayed there earlier, which are that the front door is locked, and whoever wants to enter has to ring the bell and the receptionist sees who wants to enter. Namely, I don't like the neighborhood of the hotel at all There are vagrants and beggars gathering there, who have asked me for money several times. Especially in the evening. In previous reviews I wrote that this is a problem and the hotel has obviously taken some measures.

Early in the morning after 5 am on all three nights I stayed I was woken up by quite a bit of noise coming from the hallway or the street. The sound of carrying and moving things and loud talking. If it was hotel employees they shouldn't be doing this at that time. There wasn't that noise during my previous stays. Also, the TV in the room only has Italian channels, it should have some international ones too because the hotel guests are not only Italians nor do they all speak Italian. Because of all of the above, this time I gave it an 9, not a 10 like I gave it the first two times I stayed here.

- Good location: very close to the metro with direct, short rides to major sights like the Vatican, Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. Walking distance to the Colosseum and Termini train station - Exceptionally clean - AC worked great - Wide bed as for a single room - Enough toiletries (2in1 body wash/shampoo dispenser) and a single use shower cap was provided as well - Rich breakfast selection: including ham, salami, salmon, turkey sandwiches, pancakes, honey, maple syrup, yogurts, cereals, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, pastries, a variety of breads, jams, Nutella, peanut butter, cream cheese, feta, camembert, mozzarella, olives, different types of milk, coffee, juices, fruits, vegetables etc - Conveniently close to supermarkets and restaurants - Reception and luggage storage available 24/7 - Overall, a quiet and comfortable stay

- My room was located right next to the elevator with the bed against the shared wall so it could be a bit noisy when the elevator was in use - especially in the evening/at night. This is specific to that particular room though. Sounds from the corridor were also noticeable at times but thankfully it was usually quiet. - If there was a fridge in the room it would have been great

1. The room was amazingly comfortable and newly renovated! 2. The air conditioner worked well, perfect for the hot weather in Rome. 3. The room was equipped with a clean, private bathroom. 4. The breakfast offered was so good! They even provided packed finger food for guests to bring out. 5. The staff were nice, and they offered 24hr check-in. Guests were encouraged to leave their room keys at the front desk before leaving, and then come back to collect the keys at any time (just in case losing the room keys in the city). 6. The hotel has a free luggage storage room for guests upon request.

Everything was perfect with this hotel!! Would definitely come again next time!

This no-frills hotel has everything one needs: large rooms with comfy beds and a desk area and a very good breakfast. Most areas of central Rome are in walking distance, with Monti and the Termini train station a mere 10-15 min. walk away. There is also a terrace with lounge chairs and plants.

The lighting: there is a very bright ceiling light and a tiny insufficient bedside reading lamp but nothing in between. Room service with towel exchange happens on demand only. One has to leave (small) room keys at reception and is reprimanded if one fails to do so. The front door may be locked upon arrival and requires reception staff to buzz you in. Although this may be required for security reasons, it may feel like a fortress.

A modern, comfortable hotel in a part of a convent/seminary. The location was close to many bus and tram lines to explore all parts of Rome. Supermarket nearby around the block and several nice restaurants nearby. Very large modern bathroom, slippery floor so be careful with the bath mat. The bed was wonderful- queen size. They serve a varied extensive breakfast with many many choices. The staff were wonderful. Wifi excellent and fast. Rooms are quiet with absolutely no audible noise from other rooms. However, my room faced the street and there was a lot of noise from outside with passersby, motorbikes etc. I wanted to sleep with the window open but closing the soundproofed window blocked most of this noise but on two nights, workmen were using a chainsaw at 10:30 at night but this is not the fault of the hotel. Thus I would request a room facing the inner part of the building and you will be good.

Breakfast was great but on all four mornings the bacon was hardly cooked, basically just warmed up in a pool of grease with no browning at all. Brown the bacon please! This was a shame because crispy bacon would have been great to go with my little pancakes from their conveyor belt pancake maker. A refrigerator in the room would be perfect.

One of the best hotels that I have stayed in on this trip through Italy. The room was large, modern and clean with an excellent sized bathroom. It was not a fussy, place, as would be expected as it is run for the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Mary, but it still boasted all the facilities for me and it exceeds other (lay run) hotels that I have stayed at in the area around Roma Termini Station. The staff on the desk were all very helpful, giving directions and advice. The breakfast was excellent. As well as the expected Continental Breakfast choices, that I have enjoyed elsewhere on this holiday, I was very happy to be able to enjoy scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as fruit, yoghurt and toast with peanut butter!
