On a big road trip from Spain through France & into Italy in a day, we searched on booking.com for a place to stay that had parking & a restaurant that wasn't too far off the main motorway. We found Albergo Ristorante Madonnina located in Cantello & enjoyed our first night back in our favourite country of Italy. With instructions where to park, in the large car park just across the road from the Albergo, we were warmly greeted & showed to our very spacious room. The Albergo is showing its age, but it was very clean & had everything we needed in the room. There is a restauarant within the hotel which again, we were made to feel very welcome in & were very well looked after, as well as enjoying our meals. A lovely quiet spot for a night on the road in a family owned & run Albergo.

If you like something different, you will like this place. I love’d that there is art and attention to detail everywhere. There is a surprise around every corner. Also they gave us a free upgrade since the room we booked wasn’t ready. We hade the room with a terrace and an outside whirlpool. The pool on the roof was lovely for our son (11). There is a restaurant too, really high quality. Maybe not the cheapest but definitely worth the money. The risotteria nearby was great as well. Great place to stay if you want to visit the nearby lakes. Also if you have weddingplans, this place is for you!

The pool looked a bit milky. And the wisteria is beautiful but a bit out of control.

The location is very beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable The hotel facilities are in old buildings that have been decorated with a lot of artistic taste There is a swimming pool on the top floor with a very beautiful view on the town The restaurant is very beautiful and you can taste a lot of local specialties Breakfast is served and not a buffet

Some of the room are from an old building that has been adapted to be a hotel, you can see that they tried to make it very pretty and had taste on doing it, but it has its limitations, such as the bathroom and shower were in.a sort of decorated wooden box. The rooms we had were in a different building from restaurant and reception and you had to cross the street to reach it

Hotel is quite nice once you get used to the museum like atmosphere. Furniture and setting is old fashioned but staff very friendly and helpful. If you like an antique setting, this is the place. Restaurant prices high but excellent quality. For one night an interesting accommodation in a 17th century villa. Pool across the street in a rooftop setting.

Breakfast was ok, no buffet, just minimum. Terrible coffee. Pool a little small but refreshing in summer heat.

The warmth and hospitality of the Limido family are truly unmatched. This was our second stay here, and once again, everything exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be more pleased and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Thank you for creating such amazing place!

The hotel’s restaurant is a true gem. The food was delicious, traditional, and served with warm Italian hospitality. The service was attentive and friendly. Breakfast was simple but made with quality ingredients. An ideal place for anyone who wants to experience authentic Italy, even during a short stay. Highly recommended!

We visited this hotel as part of our journey from central Italy to Germany and back to Denmark. The location is beautiful, and not too far off from main roads. You can combine a visit here with a trip by car across e.g. one of the mountain passes, passing by the Lugano lake, etc. - all of which is stunningly beautiful! The hotel is in a quiet location, parking is free and so is charging for electrical vehicles (two Porsche location chargers are available in the parking lot). The city itself is small, but interesting, and the surroundings are beautiful. There's an included rooftop pool in the modern building (family rooms).

We stayed in one of the old / traditional apartments. The apartment had nice, spacious rooms and a beautiful, classical setting. It seemed that some of the rooms could do with a bit of renovating, though (nothing critical at all, only optical), and cleaning could be better - e.g. below the beds where dust was very visible.

Breakfast was excellent! And the whole staff are truly nice, flexible and helpful. Señora Carla is a powerhouse and the two young guys that help her are fantastic! The piano and the convenient pool. Lovely area and parking lot!

I think the hotel is very practical and has a lot of character but some renovations are needed. Paint, flooring, lighting, clearing out areas with clutter, etc.
