Very helpful and friendly staff, especially at breakfast time. Good breakfast with lots of choice. The air conditioning in the room worked well; the weather was very hot during our stay but our room remained at a comfortable temperature without being freezing and it wasn’t too noisy, even during the night.

Not really anything anyone can alter, but useful for others to know: - the hotel is a good 20-25 min walk from the centre of town where the restaurants are - the reserved parking is handy but quite tight, especially if you have a longer vehicle

Neat and tidy hotel with a super helpful and smiling personnel. Good refreshing breakfast and really great coffee. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Lobby area and tables outside make it possible to rest or have a chat outside your room. Nice balconies with some views on the mountains. General shop just across the street, plenty of bars in the area. Also wonderful church (Chiesa di S. Francesco) 2 minutes walk distance.

Rather small parking area - guests coming by car may have to park away from hotel. Also if you arrive by train, consider taking a bus - the hotel is within walking distance from Varese station but it's a long walk.

The location was perfect and was easy to get around (Lake Maggiore, Milan and other local sights and has a direct fast train to Malpensa airport) with a good public transport. My room was was lovely and had a quaint balcony. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Hotel Ungerhia 1946 Varese.

The environment was enjoyable and impeccably clean, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to unwind. The breakfasts were fantastic, with a variety of delicious options every morning. However, really exceptional was the service provided by the staff. They were always friendly, approachable, and incredibly helpful in resolving my situation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. The room was good sized and well equipped.

There were three steep and awkward steps in part of the room leading to the desk area. Guests should be asked in advance whether this would be a problem as it might be for some. Parking is limited and tight if you have a larger car.

The hotel team are really friendly & nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is clean and good value. The breakfast is great. The hotel is on a bus route to the station, 5 mins away, with lots of onward connections to Milan / the lakes.

A small help would be a blackout curtain as light does come into the room at night.

We only stayed here for one night but our stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious, super clean, well heated and the staff was really accommodating and helpful. Free parking is subject to availability but there is also a free parking lot close by. A bus station to the city center is located 100 meters from the entrance so it's very convenient. Great value for money.

The lady at the reception (Jul 10, evening) did extraordinary efforts to make us feel at home. There was a problem with our airco, she dealt with it. One of us celebrated his birthday upon arrival, she arranged a birthday cake with candles and music during breakfast. A big thank you for the extra mile! The breakfast was also very impressive, with lots of local products on a limited available surface.

The ev charging station was not working with the recommended app, but it worked with the Swiss charge app.

Very good Gluten free breakfast options. Mozzarella for breakfast on one day. Nice coffee beans and good espresso. Friendly people.

No mosquito nets!! We had 3 mosquitoes in our room :(
