The town of varese is beautiful. It's a 45 min ride by train into milan and a good place to stay if you are visiting the milan expo. The hotel Is a 10 min walk from the station. The rates are more reasonable that milan. It's also a great stop to chk out milan, Lugano and lake como. All can be covered within 45 mins by train.

The rooms are quite small and it's still on the pricy side considering the distance from Milan.

The bed was very comfortable with soft linens, and the shower had great water pressure and temperature. The staff was friendly and helpful, making check-in easy. The location is perfect for nightlife, with plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a great stay!

The fridge in my room wasn’t working, which was inconvenient. The hotel could use a small refresh, as some areas feel a bit outdated. However, the stay was still comfortable overall.

Unusually for Italy the Crystal hotel has cooked breakfast items,really nice scrambled eggs plus bacon and sausage pieces but they are only lukewarm as the stainless steel containers are not heated.Huge shame really as the effort and no doubt substantial cost to provide these breakfast items is let down by the temperature.As we often arrive late it would be very nice if the minibar was stocked

The location is good. Close to the city center, restaurants and stores. The room was very clean. White beddimg clothes.

The hotel is old, so the bathroom fixtures are also quite worn in appearance, the furniture is old (although everything works and there is no bad smell) but I understand that the current management has been in place for about 4 years, and they should probably be making the replacements slowly.

Firstly the property's location is very close to the city center. Our room was super comfortable and clean. The breakfast had many choices. The staff was very friendly, and special thanks to the receptionist, Costas, who was very helpful.

You have to take care of the breakfast pottery. The glasses smelled of eggs, and the plates were dirty. Photos are available upon request for the hotel management.

This hotel was surprisingly better than the photos on booking.com, lobby furniture even looks better in real life. Excellent air-conditioning in the room which saved my life during the heatwave. Big room with fridge. Excellent blinds - dark for sleeping. Next to laundromat. Staff very accommodating. Close to the centre only 200m away, easy walk from train station.

The lobby needs to be air-conditioned for both staff and waiting customers. Suggest replacing the public toilet paper dispensers with real toilet paper.

It's a very typical intercity hotel in Italy. The location is wonderful, it's just a few steps to great restaurants and a nice place to walk at night. If you walk up the hill there is a fantastic Museum.

It's a downtown hotel so there is no parking, but the hotel is very clear about that. There is not much charm but is very functional. Nothing really notable.

All the staff were very helpful. The rooms were kept clean and beds made. Breakfast area light and airy with food and drink stocks kept topped up.

There was no facility to make a hit drink in the room

Awesome hotel in a great location. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was amazing! We didn't expect to get a room with a view but we had an exceptional view of the whole Varese and Monto Rosa could be seen on the clear days.

Noise from the street at night. But the hotel does not have control over this so they still get a 10/10 rating.

Very delicious breakfast, nice and helpful personnel, clean room, hall, working lift.

Side bed lamp did not work. We booked a room, that was small but in fact relatively cheap, but only due to the fact that we avail ourselves of the special promotion for four days. A normal price, at least during international fair in Milano, was unreasonably high for such a small room.
