I have never stayed in a more beautiful location!!! I learned while there that this location has won MANY awards as a wedding venue. I can clearly see why! Not only are the grounds remarkable, but the views and adjacent park are just breathtaking! We had a family room with 4 twin beds that were comfortable, so very clean, with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The architecture was so impressive. I can't imagine the beauty in its hey day ! The staff was so accommodating! The two women I encountered were just so lovely!!! They could not do enough for us! My family and I are very appreciative!! I was so very pleased with the value of the night's stay. We actually found Villa Cagnola by accident. We were driving around Northern Italy and didn't quite make the city we were aiming for. I am so glad, or we would have missed this spiritual experience!

The room was just a little cramped but that was because we needed the additional bed. I did see other rooms that were beautiful suites. It depends on your need. Highly recommend! Would return in a heartbeat!!

The gardens are amazing, we search a private and intimate property and Villa Cagnola was a good choice. The room was clean but the furniture and design it’s a bit old

Was a big concert that Saturday night and the parking was full, full. Unfortunately I had to carry the luggage for across a large space..they should reserve a part for the hotel’s host

We spent a night here as a family while on a stopover. The reception staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms we had were small but very clean and pleasant. The surroundings are simply magnificent, with a breathtaking Italian garden overlooking Lake Varese. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was simple and delicious.

Absolutely serenity of a place! Location of the hotel is fabulous! Design and originality are gorgeous, if you like the culture and beautiful gardens. Staff is very helpful , polite and friendly.

There is nothing to be faulted about this property. If you have chosen hotel Cagnola , you must respect, that this hotel is build of two different centuries buildings- XVIII century villa and XX century hotel guest rooms. Breakfast is only one thing , to my opinion, should be improved. There is same breakfast every day( not exuberant)

Property is beautiful, the restaurant has a daily set menu for dinner (25 EUR) and it includes one starter (2 types of vegetarian pasta - a gnocchi and a ravioli on this day), one main (a meat or fish dish), dessert (2 choices) and it included water and wine. There was no a la carte menu. The food was good, the service was nice. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was good, fruits, yogurt, many options for pastries/cakes, scrambled eggs, etc. They also had a lot for people who might be gluten free. Specially packaged. The front desk was especially friendly and welcoming.

Rooms are dated, but clean and fine for what you need for an overnight stay. There is a mini fridge in the room but no water or coffee maker which would be nice.

We arrived late and the restaurant was just closed. However, the kitchen arranged us a very delicious meal! We were so thankful for that. The breakfast was plenty and the staff in the breakfast room was very attentive and took good care of the visitors. As an example, the waitress drew curtains on the window when she noticed that the morning sun started to blind us. I think that the facility is used primarily for events and weddings.

The parking places were scattered around the building and even in the forest. It was a bit unexpected.

The property is surely impressive, but needs some refurbishing or upkeep. It is a huge and beautiful property that needs to be modernized, but overall it is good value for money. The is in grounds parking, just have to ask for it.

The shower box is small for big guys, the whole system need to be updates but the bathroom is large, the room is good and the beds are very good.

Truly epic location. Wonderful park. Friendly staff.

Average breakfast. No restaurant only pizza delivery. Place appears to be geared towards large events. Less glamorous if you stay as an ordinary guest.

The property was really cool. The garden is beautiful, with a great view of the lake. The grounds had walking trails through the woods that you could easily wander around in for a while.

The hotel placed us as a family of four in two rooms on opposite ends of the floor. Although we booked months in advance, it felt as if there was no plan in place before we arrived.
