I really liked the room we had. It was huge, we had a king bed in the bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. There weren’t a lot of utensils in the kitchen, but just enough to get by for a few days. The big screen TVs in the bedroom and living room are awesome. Everything was clean. Some of the facilities are a little dated, but it’s charming. It’s old Florida style. I really liked it. The pool was great, they even brought out umbrellas for people to sit under. Walking distance to the beach. Just a two minute walk! When you get to the beach, there are roped off areas that you cannot sit in, but if you walk, just a little way to the right or left, you can find a spot on the beach. We didn’t spend a lot of time sitting on the beach, we were snorkeling almost almost the whole time. My 10-year-old son and I got to see and swim with a manatee!! Great spot for kids it’s quiet compared to the downtown area of siesta key. The transportation is very easy, just call the frog hop and they will take you wherever you want. Make sure to tip them well! We went downtown once, but it was so busy and loud that we just ended up staying Where we were at. There was a pizza place and a place called Captain Kurts. Both of those were great restaurants, and we also cooked meals (we bought groceries at Trader Joe’s that was just a few miles away) in our little studio. It was perfect.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, which was super convenient with kids. The room was spotless, very clean, and well-organized. The staff was friendly both at the front desk and on the beach — the guy helping out down there was especially helpful. We used the grill, and even though it was a little dirty, it worked fine for us. Parking was also super convenient, right outside our room.

The microwave wasn’t working correctly because the door was loose, which made it kind of a hassle to use. Not a huge issue, but something worth fixing for future guests.

Loved the location and the distance to restaurants/bars.

The "private beach" wasn't so private. Too many people setting up their gigantic tents who clearly were NOT staying at the resort or they had friends staying there and they invited their friends, and friends...you get the picture. Glad I left the following day becuase by 8am they were setting up and I had enough. If you are going to say Private Beach at least patrol it. I was told by another person that the other areas that had private beaches did not put up w that nonsense.

Super clean and polished. But also retro, like mad men vibes, we loved it! Very close to the beach.

had this weird rule about where you could sit on the beach once you got down to the beach between 9 AM and 4 PM so that there was just this very small area that you could sit if you weren’t willing to purchase the chairs and umbrellas from the resort. that part was weird to me.

Walk to the beach was only 2 minutes with beach rental chairs and umbrellas available. They also offer kayak and paddle board rentals. The beach is beautiful! The pool was very clean and only steps away from our room. The courtyard was very clean and always quiet. We stayed with 5 at the paradise suite. The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were perfect for us.

We did need one person sleeping on the sofa, which was more of a futon and very uncomfortable. The common area was very small. We couldn’t eat inside together as the couch was small and there was only one small table with two chairs. The bathroom sinks were very small, which only mattered when I needed to wash my face, it made it difficult.

The resort was in perfect walking distance to the beach & captains courts village which was amazing !! I did not like how certain sections of their private beach were only for chair rentals but we still found a space easily. The staff was great & the rooms/property were very clean.

I did not like that on the private beach that they had parts of it sectioned off for rental chairs only. Seeing as we are from FL we knew to bring our own but had to walk farther to set them up.

Short walk to a beautiful beach. We really liked being towards the south end of Siesta Key. The room was very clean and parking was easy.

The air conditioner made a noise once per minute that kept me up all night. We told management and they looked into it but decided not to fix it because "that is normal" It wasn't normal, but we didn't let it ruin our vacation. We still loved Siesta Key and over all really enjoyed Captiva.

Close to beach, clean room and my favorite was the comfortable bed! Its a must.

First night was nice and quiet. Second night not so much. Rowdy young neighbors, essentially a group of late 20 somethings were blasting music, hitting walls and playing around in yard past midnight. Not really sure who to call at that hour or be that person. But usually what I dread is not being able to sleep and getting into one of those situations where my wife asks to go out and ask them to keep it down. You never know who you could encounter. Its a shame because overall the stay would’ve been perfect. Staff were lovely and helpful and friendly. So the noise is not their fault at all.

Jack and Jennifer were amazing. From the 1st meeting until check out we lacked for nothing. The girls were on point with maid service and Mike was accommodating with anything we needed. With everything that Seista Key has been thru they have overcome the obstacles. It was the best vacation we have had in the last 10yrs. I recommend Captiva to anyone, seasoned traveler or 1st time vacationers. We will be back.

The location is perfect: from our room to the Siesta Key Crescent Beach was about 250 steps - and it is a beautiful unspoilt beach with white sand! The location is also perfect in that shops and restaurants, etc. are about 10 minutes walk away. The room was extremely comfortable, well equipped (including a kitchen for self-catered stays) and clean. The surroundings are beautifully maintained and there is a heated outdoor pool, BBQ facilities and free parking. The staff are friendly and helpful - the place is really nice in all respects.

There was nothing not to like. Our stay was very short and we didn't make use of the self-catering facilities, the pool, etc. If we did, it would have been even better value for money!
