Lido Beach Resort checked all of our boxes for the perfect family beach vacation! We loved how family-friendly and accessible everything was. All food we had was delicious, the room met our needs, the pool was great entertainment for the kids, and every staff member we encountered was exceptionally kind and helpful. We also still felt very close to additional fun places to visit such as St. Armands Circle, Mote Aquarium, and other attractions in the Sarasota area.

I wouldn't say this was a thing we "didn't like" so much as an opportunity to be more helpful to guests moving forward. We were not made aware prior to our first time using the pool that there was a policy (whether actually written or not) that families could basically stake out lounge chairs with towels and leave them for extended periods of time before actually using them. We sat on ones that looked unused (no personal belongings) and then the pool staff politely asked us to move. We are generally rule followers so would have appreciated the rule being communicated better either at check-in or through signage!

Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, it was run very efficiently and our comfort and needs were being checked via text every day and also by staff members. If we needed something it was seen to right away. The 3 choices of eating places were at set at different menu and price points which was great plus and you are literally a 10-15 minute walk from St Armand’s for even more choices. The white sand beach is beautiful and clean with plenty of gorgeous shells to hunt for. I will definitely go back.

The biggest issue for me was that there was no way of locking the room once inside like a security bar. If I was traveling alone that would have been a real problem for me as the parking lot had access to the rooms, think motel style! That needs to be changed! The Nespresso coffee is dreadful, I don’t understand the hype but that was the machine in our room, take my advice and go down to the reception opens at 7am much better coffee and refillable. They provide tea but no kettle being English we found that strange. I am very faired skin and a $15 + tip a day for beach umbrella was disappointing as we were already paying a $40 a day resort fee.

Desk manager was rude at the time we arrived. She was in really bad mood and perhaps our room wasn’t ready at 3 pm , she told us we need to wait and recommend us to drive around the island for one hour instead of invite us to stay at the resort.

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, and we loved having the convenience of a kitchenette. The view from our room was better than expected—although advertised as a partial beach view, we could see the ocean right from our window. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. One of the highlights was the thoughtful surprise from the staff—a beautiful card and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. It was such a memorable and fun moment when we returned to the room and found the gift waiting for us. Another huge plus was the on-site EV charging station. It was incredibly helpful to fully charge our car and ready for our road trip home the next day. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel!"

"While we enjoyed our stay overall, a couple of things could have been better. There was only one working elevator, and it was quite small. Being on the 4th floor, we waited a while, especially when carrying luggage or our beach wagon, which made it a bit inconvenient. Another downside was the prices at the poolside tiki bar. Both the food and drinks were quite expensive, which was disappointing given the otherwise enjoyable amenities at the hotel."

The suite was absolutely lovely. The bedding, towels and accessories were top notch...the view lovely. Decor was tasteful..Over all expeirience in Room 1403 was 10+. Front desk staff...Chase and Kara were very accomodating, pleasant and polite and as a former hotel employee myself, I comend them on their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to make this weekend stay absolutely perfect!

I would be struggling to find an answer to that! I think everything was well appointed and met our expectations. Poll staff were very friendly and slways there for drinks and food service. Towel service was nice and the location to the beach is just perfect.

Excellent location and wonderful staff and sevice. The food here is amazing and the grounds are beautiful!

The only thing I wish theyd really improve is that it was very messy outside the rooms due to other guests leaving food and garbage outside the rooms. The hotel grounds are so clean and beautiful except for the areas in hallways outside of peoples rooms. You had to step over other peoples garbage when getting to and from your room. This was noticed in multiple locations while walking to and from our room throughout our stay.

The location is ideal as is the fact that there is a shuttle bus to the nearby shops and restaurants. The beach was beautiful and there were lots of beach and pool facilities for the guests.

Was disappointed in the room which I felt was like a motel room with the door opening on to a common walkway. Would have much preferred a room with a view and balcony. There was nothing in the location of my room to want me to stay in the room to enjoy the hotel. Would have liked to spend time sitting on a balcony and perhaps enjoying a good view. I didn’t like the excessive valet charged for parking the car.

Well maintained property that has survived previous hurricanes. There was no hot tub or sauna on premises. Covered parking on premises was very convenient.

Appeared that the property was still undergoing repairs from Hurricanes Helene & Milton, and there was a lot of construction noise going on. The weather was also surprisingly in the mid-60s which made the visit much less enjoyable.

Great location right on the beach. Staff was excellent and very accommodating, we received great service at Drift outside patio for lunch. Air conditioning in room worked great (very rare for a beachside hotel). The grounds are beautiful.

Beautiful tiki bar but too crowded to sit and closes at 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights. 8th floor bar was also very nice, but also too crowded to sit and closes at 9:30pm on Saturdays (the sign says 10pm, but last call had already been given). Hot water in shower was temperamental and at times, just lukewarm. These things would easily be overlooked and forgiven, except that the price point of the room makes you expect more (the hotel has outdoor corridors). We would still return here, hopefully with a better room rate!

All staffs are friendly and helpful. Lobby and facilities are really upscale and nice. Wonderful room service, one night, they dropped by and gave us some chocolate and check on us. Perfect location-close to st Armand circle and next to the beach, the best.

Our room is next to an open corridor, our building is an old motel setup, ie open corridor, with windows unit, people walking by the corridor can see inside the room.
