This was our 4th time staying at Hotel Canoblas as a group of mates/ Dads who catch up every six months for a long weekend away. Hotel Canobolas is very centrally located in Orange CBD, allowing you to walk to cafes, shops, breweries, supermarkets etc. The rooms are basic (bed, TV and bathroom) but at the price charged, that is all you would reasonably expect. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and the showers are great. The hotel facilities (food/ bistro, lounge/bar) are very good. The staff are very friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

It would be great if the Hotel had a separate lounge area for house guests to be able to sit and chat as the main areas (bistro and lounge bar) are always very well patronised/ busy and noisy.

It was central to all amenities. Cute and clean. Easy check in and check out. Super quite which was great. Had a restful sleep. Will definitely come back.

The taps in bathroom did not work properly. The only mirror was in the bathroom and with the decent size handbasin in front of it, it was too far for me when I was trying to apply my makeup and there was no full length mirror. I think if there was a full length mirror maybe inside the wardrobe door, that would have helped with getting dressed and applying makeup when someone was in the bathroom getting ready at the same time. Also the rod in the wardrobe was too low for a full length dress so maybe a hook or two behind the door high enough to hand dresses etc on coat-hangers. Simple solutions that can add a little more.

The hotel is terrific. Great location, historic but with modern conveniences. My room was serviced on the second of my two day stay which is almost unheard of these days and much appreciated. Also, the aircon was operating in my room when I arrived. The convenience of the free car park behind the hotel is a bonus as was the ease to enjoy the indoor/outdoor bar and dining facilities. Value for money if your tastes are for comfort and convenience.

The location was great as it was central. Walking distance of cafes and restaurants, I also liked the fact that there was parking for hotel guests at the back of the hotel off the street. The pizzeria downstairs is also exceptionally good. The food was not your standard pub grub and the quality was more like a fine dining restaurant than pub food. Check in was nice and simple and we were able to check-in after 10pm.

As it is central, you can hear the noise from the street and early morning trucks in the side alleyway. Also, the pictures of the room didn't look as modern and as nice as the room we had. The sign for the hotel is next to a business called GHD when in fact it is further down, so that was confusing navigating to that point, when it's further down on the corner of Lords Place and Mitchell Highway.

Great location in central Orange with free parking (as long as you can find a space!). Staff at front desk and in the bar downstairs were very friendly. Spacious room, spacious bathroom and plenty of storage space.

Fridge in the room was pretty noisy (all night), with hindsight we should have just unplugged it on Day 1! Lighting in the room wasn't the best tbh but we managed ok. Had to request more teabags/coffee as the housekeeping didn't top us up, but getting more from the bar was no problem. Hotel is a bit tired-looking generally, but comfortable enough and met our needs with a fair price and a good location.

My room was very spacious, well-appointed for what I paid and well suited to business travel. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the centre of town providing easy access to all local amenities.

My room was a little noisy at times as it backed onto the hotel's kitchen, but nothing that kept me up all night. The bathroom was very dated compared to the well-furnished room; nevertheless, it was clean and serviceable.

Location - walking distance from station - where the bus dropped me off/picked me up. Central in town - close to where I needed to go Like downstairs/bar. Didnt eat in the restaurant. Shower good

Room noisy - rubbish pick up at about 3 am. There was a motor running continuously - thought it was the fan but not. No bedside light I was not able to put bar purchases on my room account. A couple more hangers in the cupboards for shirts. No in house breakfast but other establishments close by. Some guidance about where to go esp on Sunday would have been good - but I had worked that out from my last visit.

The room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was a decent size and the having a hot shower was wonderful :) The staff were friendly and knowledgeable which was a bonus. I had dinner at the bistro and the meal was enjoyable.

The room was clean, I would say the only issue was that there was no bedside table, so it made it difficult to have a cuppa which I had to hold the whole time or to put a glass of water for during the night.

One of the better pub hotels I’ve stayed at. Room was not missing any furnishings. TV aircon/heater, fridge, kettle, chair. Bed was comfortable, opening window to outside. Hotel overall was very clean, bistro had very good meals. Room service was diligent. Did not have noise issues. Free parking. Central location.

Great location, lovely atmosphere, staff were all friendly and helpful. Food and wine and service were great! Allowed early check in and was greeted politely and efficiently. Bonus having a parking lot!!!!

I think we really got what we paid for. The bathroom are a bit dated in the room, but it was clean and had everything we needed. View was pretty ordinary, lol, the back parking area.
