The inn is wonderful all around. The room was very big, everything was so clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils so we could use it fully. The bed was also very comfortable. The inn provides so many amenities like printing for your park passes, bug spray, beach towels. The included breakfast is light but the fresh fruit was of great quality, and the granola bars were excellent to take for later. Their free tea and coffee were also great. There is plenty of parking, the staff was also super responsive at all times and had great recommendations. The inn is also beautifully decorated, the nature is outside is really well kept. The inn also has an outside barbecue which was great and super clean, with all necessary utensils.

If I had to find anything I didn't like, I'd say the shower was a bit hard to use without splashing water on the walls. The bathroom could have also used an additional hanger or two for towels, toiletry bags, or clothes.

The Inn is beautiful. Stately old mansion. The grounds are lush and well manicured. Management friendly and present. Room was huge, clean, well lit and the mattress firm, new and perfect! Continental breakfast was homemade, fresh and adequate. Environment was warm and interesting. Very Maine. Old money. Stately! The location is minutes from the park, just a few feet from a great market for supplies and restaurants and the marina. Being distant from Bar Harbor is another plus.

The Harbourside Inn was located in the Northeast Harbor, a quiet place away from the busyness of Bar Harbor. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the Inn itself was comforting, charming, and clean. The light breakfast was a wonderful way to start each day, and the fruit was outstandingly fresh!

The key to the room was a skeleton key, probably because the building is so old, but I will say that it made it very difficult to lock and unlock the door. They did have a door stop mechanism for extra security, but it was just a small nuisance. If this is what we are complaining about, it must have been a great stay!

Everything was exceptional. The bed and bedding was luxe, the historic inn and the property were beautifully maintained and managed and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I plan on staying at the Harbourside whenever I’m on island. There are premiere eateries nearby and many interesting boutiques and galleries also within walking distance. The management/ and owner was incredibly friendly and available for information and friendly conversation.

I enjoyed every aspect of this lovely inn.

I loved my stay here! The property is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Location is great away from the bustle of Bar Harbor but still very close to Acadia (and other local hikes that were less busy!). I enjoyed walking into town for dinner each night and had several great meals, and also a fun boat ride withe Princess Cruises. Definitely recommend checking out Thuya Gardens/Asticou Terraces only a few minutes away.

It would have been nice to have an in-room coffee maker, or a Keurig in the public area. I left very early 2 out of 3 mornings to go hiking and coffee was not available yet. Also, the driveway is a little scary to pull out of while driving, and so was crossing the road on foot to get to the sidewalk to town due to fast moving cars and a somewhat blind curve. Not really sure what can be done about it but it did stress me out a little, haha! Very minor inconveniences on an otherwise lovely visit.

Breakfast was quite sufficient -- a buffet of fruit and pastries (blueberry cake both days plus a lemon cake one day). Granola bars/fruit bars were available to take along on hikes and instant oatmeal was an option. Coffee was strong and cream was even provided. A good variety of teas and purified water were available at all times. The staff was very friendly with suggestions on activities, restaurants, and local sites.

Nothing we didn't like - it was great!

Breakfast was fine. Good coffee, lots of tea options, instant oatmeal, and a pastry/cake each morning--the banana bread was the best one! Not a cooked breakfast, but perfect before you head out to explore. The room was enormous and homey. We felt great coming home to this inn. The common rooms were lovely too. And all of the guests were delightful to talk to! The bonfire in the back yard was fun too.

Easy to find location near to Northeast Harbor and not far from Bar Harbor. Beautiful old house and area. Near walking trails that led to Hammock Pond ((I think that was the name). They provided muffins and fruit each morning as well as granola bars that could be taken. Nice tea selection. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Good water pressure in shower.

Maybe some anti-slip mat or pad in the bath or shower would help for older folks. I would've liked a bit more at breakfast like some cereal or yogurt, but what they provided was nice.

Beautiful place, it was so charming and cozy! The staff and other guests were so friendly and helpful. We loved the grab-and-go breakfast that we could hit on our way out to a hike, and the fire pit out back was a great spot to relax and meet new people in the evenings.

Our room got a bit hot during the day from the sun shining in through the windows since there was no AC, but our lace curtains were nice because they blocked the direct sun while still letting a lot of light in.

We liked the cozy aesthetic of the hotel and our room. It was great having a fireplace in the room

The breakfast lacked a simple protein like hard boiled eggs or yogurt. For the price that should be included. Although beautiful the bed in our room was jammed so close to the wall that my partner had to climb over me to get in. There was no bedside table on one side
