What an unexpected pleasure. Small boutique hotel right in the middle of Fremantle, metres from the strip but quiet. Room was larger than expected, very clean and comfortable. Well-appointed with lovely toiletries and a coffee machine with complimentary bottled water. Check-in was simple, with reception open to 10pm but after hours service available. Check-out was 11am so ample time to take advantage of the free continental breakfast. Staff were helpful, friendly and so pleasant. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a visit to the West.

I may have missed it, but a charging point near the bed would have been appreciated.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! It was impeccably clean and beautifully designed, offering a serene and comfortable environment. The location was perfect—well-placed in the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and enjoy everything the area has to offer. What truly stood out, however, was the incredible hospitality of the staff. They were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their warm and friendly attitude made our experience even more memorable. We couldn’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to return!

This hotel is in an awesome location right in middle of the Fremantle action. Wonderful to have a car park available for our hire car - make sure you book ahead as there aren't many spots. Love the great hospitable touches, like continental breakfast and wine and cheese night, they certainly do know how to look after their valued customers! We availed ourselves of the guest laundry too, super handy. Room was so comfy and there was daily housekeeping to make sure your room was kept spick and span. Loved our stay.

Not a dislike, but a point to be aware of ... Our room had a common mini foyer with another room, so there are two doors to get into your room. These are really heavy duty doors, and when the guest in the other room comes back late at night the clunk ... clunk can be a bit loud and awakening! Small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, given all of the other great features of this hotel.

The hotel was too far from Kandy city for us. Not far in kilometres, but high in the hills, up very steep hairpin narrow bends. It took at least half an hour to get there in the traffic around Kandy. I feel the hotel was a little deceptive in advertised time it takes to get there. We wanted to be in the thick of Kandy, we didn't want a reclusive retreat. After our first night, we therefore found alternate accommodation in downtown Kandy and were happy with our decision.

The perfect base for our Perth adventure. From the easy check in process (Maricar was wonderful!), to the beautiful and well appointed room, and thoughtful touches, we loved everything about our stay. The location was perfect, we didn’t use our car at all - everything was within walking distance, incredible restaurants and cafes, Freo Markets, the docks. Breakfast was inclusive (simple but delicious), and there was free wine and cheese at the bar next door. We’d love to come and visit again.

Excellent location and staff who were extra customer focused - in particular the young man who took care of breakfast clean up and fill up each morning of depleted breakfast food ( eg berries),

Our room wasn't refreshed till after 3,30-4.0pm - so disappointing as we are elderly ( 76 AND 77) . My husband had to go to reception and ask for our room to be cleaned and have fresh towels provided as the cleaners still hadn't been despite us leaving the room at 10.00am. At 3,30 my husband wanted a rest before having a shower and meeting friends for drinks- when the cleaners came they were very surly - not very pleasant. Also would have been good to have an additional bin in the bed room - so annoying having to go back into the bathroom every time we wanted to put something in the bin. Most hotel suites have 2 bins - one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom.

We enjoyed the breakfast very much. We had a lovely balcony and there was no noise at night. The staff were wonderful. Friendly and helpful.

Bed was good but the pillows were too big and hard. The duvet was a bit heavy for the warmer days so having an extra light covering in the room would manage this. There was no plug in our bathroom for the hairdryer or razor. There was no lights in the bedroom other than the bedside lamps.

Very comfortable

The shower (disabled) didn’t drain effectively and flooded the whole floor. I didn’t expect that and fell on the floor when I stepped out of the shower. I hurt my hip which is still sore 3days after. Their only solution is to put towels on the floor to stop the flooding. I would hate for anyone else to get hurt as well and maybe obtain serious injuries.

Only stayed 1 night but very happy with our experience. Right from check-in we were made to feel welcome. The aircon was already on when we arrived to our room which was a nice touch. We have stayed in many Fremantle hotels over the years and so many are worn out, noisy and overpriced, not so here. The room was comfortable and came with a coffee pod and some nice tea's. Large TV with plenty of free channels to watch. Most important, we didn't really hear other guests apart from a few wardrobe door slams here and there. Breakfast was great with some really nice breads and healthy muesli options. Will stay again anytime.

Smallish unit with secure entry across the road from the Hougoumont. Small lounge area with sink and microwave walk through to ensuited bedroom. Bedroom and bathroom small but serviceable. Very comfy bed and lounge pretty good as well. Inclusive continental breakfast across the road at Hougoumont - coffee/tea, youghurt and nut/granola mix and bread/jam. Staff monitor coffee machines beans/milk and restock food well. Handwritten greeting on mirror (as per practice at Hougoumont across the road) is a nice personal touch. Check in staff very helpful in minding luggage after checkout.

Showing some signs of age (painting, cracking etc) and in need of a few basic maintenance items for attention (e.g. rattly shower door handle etc). Limited ceiling lighting but OK. 2 of 3 switches in the gang on entry to bedroom seemed to do nothing with lights. Single split system AC in lounge. Room faced west and bedroom could get hot in summer I suspect. Windows had been left slightly open on arrival to help but was still warm until AC cranked in. Not really up to standard for the cost paid but was an event weekend and was all we could find in the locality we wanted.
