Great location, very comfy bed, and exceptionally friendly staff. The communal kitchen and loaner bikes gave it a homey and welcoming atmosphere, but I didn’t stay long enough to try them

A bit noisy at night in my room facing the street. Strongly scented cleaning products permeated everything in my room. Either it was supposed to be diluted and wasn’t, or it’s just me getting more sensitive.

The location was perfect for what I was there for. It was an easy walk to the waterfront. There are plenty of cafe's, restaurants etc close by. The room is small but perfect for just me, if you are travelling with lots of luggage it may be a bit tricky. The staff were all super friendly and helpful

My only complaint is the shower could do with a bit of an update, the shower head just seemed old and blocked so the water came out in all directions and kept flooding the floor. This isn't anything against the hotel but just be prepared for the amount of homeless people that are around the area, they aren't an issue but was a bit of a shock

We stayed in the Premier Royal Loft and had a lovely experience. The apartment was spacious, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully laid out. The cooking facilities were excellent, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay—would definitely recommend! A bonus was the fabulous little Thai restaurant—Thai District—just across the road. Great food, and I highly recommend the COCONUT HOT SOUFFLÉ for dessert! Just be sure to order it at the beginning of your meal, as it takes time to prepare.

The only downside was the stairs leading up to the loft, which were a bit cumbersome to navigate with heavy suitcases. However, once we were up there, it was absolutely worth it. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay—highly recommended!

I liked the quaintness of the hotel. I was really cute. I enjoyed my stay when it was quiet. It was an building that had been remodel with individual room. There was a code to get into building and to the room. That made us feel secure. The front desk staff were exceptional. The shower and bed were amazing. I did not want to leave the bed and slept so good. Great little places to eat. Not far from beach.

Here is what I did not like. Another guest and their child were so loud. It felt like the child was kicking the wall or throwing something against the wall. They was so annoying, so I guess you could say the walls are thin. Secondly, housekeeping did not clean our room or pick up our dirty dishes. Instead they just left some towels and bowls on the table. I did complain to the front desk about both. Also, the slamming of the door when people are leaving or coming.

We loved the location, friendly staff and the coffee room with kitchen facilities available. This old hotel has been well renovated in the public areas and has a welcoming atmosphere. There was lots to see within walking distance, a grocery store and great restaurants. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again but probably in one of the larger rooms if possible. There was no elevator but the staff were very helpful with suitcases when needed.

Our room was advertised as "cozy" and in this case that means the bed takes up most of the room, which isn't necessarily bad except the room could really use more hooks for hanging clothes and wall shelves near the sink for toiletries since there is nowhere to leave a suitcase open, no closet or drawers. I don't know how 2 larger people could manage in this room.

The front desk José was kind and helpful. They allowed me to check in early, which was awesome. There's no elevator, but there's a person to help me with my heavy luggage. Rosie and Mario were also lovely and helpful. The room size is a bit small, but I consider that to be okay for the price. There are lots of beautiful photos in the hotel. There's a free service of bicycles, I love it. L.A has a designated cycle lane so it's very safe. The location of the hotel is great, coffees, Restaurant and a supermarket close by.

There was no kettle in the room, and the option for hot water was on the ground level and I was in the 3rd floor. :@.

The boutique hotel was perfect. The staff was super nice. I loved the details of the hotel. It felt like a cute apartment. The rooms were a little small but they were perfect for 2 people. Everything was clean. The bed was comfortable and I liked the updated shower. When I booked the room, the pictures looked a little outdated but I was pleasantly surprised with how the room looked updated when we walked in. I loved the communal kitchen downstairs. We were only there for the 1 night so we didn't use the kitchen or the bikes that we were able to rent but would love to next time. This is a perfect spot for a quick trip. It's right in the middle of everything. So many walkable places from there. Great stay! Hope to come back.

Admittedly, when we arrived at the Royal I was a bit taken aback--the hotel was really geared, I suspected, to travelers a lot younger than we are. It seemed at first like a hipster hotel, not for oldsters like us. That being said, we had a terrific stay -- our room had a lot of conveniences, and was very modern, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is very nice--lots of good restaurants & only a few blocks to the shoreline. Our room was on the first floor (thankfully, given our age & the long stairwell to the upper level); however, that meant that it did lack in sunlight -- the window was high up and covered with an unreachable (by us) blind.

It was a very cute and accommodating set up for the King Delux room we were in. There was a kitchette (microwave, coffee maker, dishes, fridge, etc.), a table large enough for at least 4 adults, and the nice comfortable bed and clean bathroom and towels.

The only item I had issue with was that the painted concrete floors, although well-maintained, were somewhat sticky and my white socks that I knept on because they were sticky got filthy. I'm not sure if this is due to the beach humidity or lack of rinsing the floors after mopping, or maybe they just use something like a swiffer floor wipe but I would not walk around barefoot because of it.
