Restaurants were easily within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the neighborhood was quiet.

I would suggest for the hotel to invest in something to have water available for people to fill up water bottles. We had to walk to a store to purchase large bottles of water, which was not very eco-friendly. The hotel was doing work on the pool during the day for two of the three days we were there. It would have been. Ice to use the pool on those extremely hot days. However, the pool was available in the evening hours.

I drove to Palenque so I really appreciate that the hotel had secure parking connected to the hotel. I liked that it was just 15 minutes from the Palenque Archeological zone, and that there were multiple waterfalls in less than a two hour drive. My room was spotless and extremely comfortable. The staff was constantly cleaning. I ate all my meals at the restaurant connected to the hotel; I thought the food was good, ample serving sizes, reasonable prices, and excellent service.

When I initially checked in I was not given a key to my room. I think the machine may have been broken, When I went to the desk later...twice, they weren't very friendly. After that though, the people at reception were pleasant. I didn't swim in the pool, but the water didn't look very clear.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. It was nice to have a little balcony with table and chairs where we could eat breakfast in the morning. The hotel is within walking distance to the center of town as well as to the market, the bus station and the colectivos we took to the Palenque ruins and Roberto Barrios waterfalls.

The Wifi was a little spotty in our room and the lighting (overhead light) was a bit stark. There was some noise at night from some local clubs just down the street.

A little more expensive than what we usually pay but was well worth it after long bus trip. Very much an area catering for tourists but a short walk down the road to be amongst the real town. Think they are going to develop the jungle across the street which will take away the special atmosphere of this location. Blame the tourists like me

The Hotel Chablis is located on a charming street with nice restaurants close-by. The pool area is lovely! The bathroom is immaculate! The beds are comfortable! It has air-conditioning which is wonderful in the tropics! We had a delicious American breakfast every day, and I was so pleased that they accommodated my need for lactose-free milk. Most importantly, the staff was gracious, kind and helpful. Sergio was an amazing host! We really appreciated his assistance in arranging a private driver to take us to and from Villahermosa and to Agua Azul....and arranging an English-speaking tour (Mayatour) to the Palenque ruins. Fabulous! Sergio couldn't have been more accommodating! We were also grateful to Efrain at the front desk because he spoke excellent English to answer our questions. Muchas gracious! We will surely stay here when we return to Palenque!

We loved everything

A great 3 stars hotel, very clean, all basic needs of a hotel room covered, and the staff is super friendly. On top, the food at the restaurant is fantastic!

Few things that can be improved are related to more pro-environment actions, such as no need to wash the towels every day, no need to provide the glasses for the water in plastic bags, or instead of plastic bottles for the water, it could be better to instal water containers on each floor.

Very comfortable, large room and cleaned every day. The room had everything we could want, fridge, bedside lamps, hairdryer,balcony with table and chairs. The first room we were given didn’t have a great outlook so we asked to change which they arranged immediately and with no bother. The area round the pool was lovely with loungers and hammocks and there was always some shade. The pool was regularly cleaned of falling leaves. The restaurant served a variety of food of good quality and fairly priced. It was very pleasant to have candlelit dinners by the pool. The location was great, 5 minute walk to the bus station, 7 minutes to the market and 10 to the main square. The area was very pleasant and quiet with restaurants and coffee shops. We extended our stay and would highly recommend.

The hotel was excellent in almost every regard. The location is beautiful. It’s a leafy enclave with parrots and iguanas (the parrots can be a bit loud). Everything you need is on this street, restaurants, bars, a convenience store, handicrafts etc. the hotel arranged transport to the sites I wished to see. They did my laundry. Normally I would say get out and check out the town but Palenqué doesn’t have that much to offer so this hotel was perfect. The service was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and updated probably not too long ago. The restaurant was average but like I said, plenty of restaurants on the street. Excellent value for money. Definitely recommend Hotel Chablis.

Restaurant was just average and there was some confusion on the frequency of housekeeping but that may have been a poor translation by my Spanish translation app. When housekeeping was done it was thoroughly done.

Amazing stay! We arrived early because of our night bus and the staff was amazing! They helped us with storage and tried to get our rooms ready as quickly as posible. They also arranged our visit to the archeological site and it was all organised very well! Breakfast was very nice and they offered pancakes to the birthday girl of my group. We had a blast here!

A clean and lovely hotel in the quiet part of Palenque surrounded by cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a short walk from the Ado bus station. Our room was immaculate. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets. Bathroom and shower were great and the towels were lovely and soft.

Nothing really. We didn't use the pool because of the rain but it looked lovely.
