Stayed here 3 nights while exploring the northern tip of Mauritius with my partner, This place is absolutely outstanding in all aspects from check in through to check out. First of all Pictures don't do the place justice, you have to most definitely see it for yourself! The rooms are perfectly set out and have everything you need, a nice touch was rooms have not only a large towel for the absolutely stunning pool area but also separate towels you can take out on any trips to the beach, theres also a yoga mat in there if you are that way inclined. The pool and Gardens are absolutely beautiful and most certainly gives you that luxury and relaxing feeling when spending time there. Breakfast is another highlight and everything cooked to order. Try the french toast, you wont be disappointed!!! Brunch is also served if you wish to have at an additional charge, the menu has more choice and its worth it if you indulge. The host Antoine is not only as friendly as they come but also extremely helpful and informative, greets you with a nice welcome drink and he will answer any questions you have and even show you on the map places to see in the surrounding area, even gives you a few tips on good places to eat and people to contact for trips or excursions you may be interested in. I've always found that smaller boutique hotels like this always have far more to offer than larger hotels and make your experience that bit more special and individual. All in all a fantastic place to stay! Next time we are in Mauritius, we won't hesitate to stay here again.

The Good Life is a quaint, cozy property in Cap Malheureux with chic and sustainable rooms, great amenities, and delicious breakfast. There are yoga mats in each room (which I took advantage of), cozy bed, and really anything you can think of. The host & staff are very friendly and accommodating. Antoine took the time to walk me through all of the activities both near the hotel and across the whole island, and sent several restaurant recommendations. To top it all off, I had a scuba dive on the day of check-out, and they were able to provide me with a late check-out so that I could come back and shower before leaving. I actually left my passport in the room when I departed and they were quick to reach out to me and made it easy for me to come back and pick it up. Would highly recommend!

It's pretty buggy on the property, so just be sure to bring bug spray and apply it generously. Also, there aren't a ton of restaurants within walking distance, but there are some that will send a free cab, but would recommend driving a car.

Absolutely awesome! Ecological, beautiful lodges, very nice garden and the swimming pool. Room is cozy, well equipped and comfortable. There's also a lovely terrace with a swing. Very nice staff, the owners are great. Always smiling, always helpful. The hotel has a nice atmosphere. Delicious and healthy food. The hotel is near the Cap Malhereux church, we recommend for a visit. The nearest beach wasn't our favorite, but it's a personal taste. There's a possibility to take the bus which goes to Pereybere beach, Grad Bay or Trou aux Biches. The bus is very cheap and quite fast. We also used our rented car, there is a smaller and safe parking lot in front of the hotel. We'll love to come back.

There was a lot of mosquitoes during our stay because of a heavy rain, but this not a hotel's mistake :)

Amazing little resort! Very comfortable, absolutely spottless and clean; great healthy breakfast with homemade juices, fruit salads with fruits from the garden, homemade granola and marmelade; excellent service and very friendly staff; very welcoming hosts giving great tips and help at all times; cold water available 24/7 for refill into jars (plastic free place); pool is stunning, quiet and has comfortable beds; WIFI excellent at all times. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and would definitely and highly recommend this oasis.

The owners are very kind and responsive. They explain where to go and what to see and also provide a list of activities and contacts. The breakfast is homemade and delicious, especially the french toast and the yogurt with granola. The water in the pool has a very natural feeling, and there is no taste or smell of chlorine which makes swimming in it very comfy If you are planning to spend some time in the north, i would definitely suggest booking some nights here.

Not really a fault of anyone, but the place is full of mosquitoes. Make sure to bring a repellent body spray.

The accommodation is just perfect: super nicely furnished, bright and modern rooms, beautiful grounds with beautiful plants and a great pool. The entire staff is very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. It was also great that we were super advised regarding excursions, a scooter was organized for us very uncomplicated and the owner also took care of our transfer to the accommodation and also to the next accommodation. We felt very comfortable from the first moment and did not want to leave the accommodation. It was by far the best of our Mauritius trip. This is, in addition to the points mentioned, also due to the attention to detail and the personality of the two owners.

The location was idyllic and the vibe was very relaxed and chill. The north of the island is very rustic and the Good Life was the perfect location for exploring the north, north west and north east coastlines.

Warm welcome. Excellent host and team. Beautiful garden and pool. Great verandah to enjoy the birdlife. Super breakfast. Clean comfortable bed. Good location to explore the northern areas of Mauritius.

A mini fridge in the room and overhead fan for during the day would have added to the overall comfort of the room.

This lovely resort was such a joy to stayed at, with its beautiful garden, a nice pool and a cozy cafe serving healthy and delicious food, not to forget the fluffiest pancakes we've ever had! But I guess, what's even more remarkable for us were the hosts especially Antoine, he was truly accomodating and knows how to make his guests felt at home. Thank you for arranging the dinner bookings for us albeit the time constraint, for suggesting places of interest and for basically looking after us. And for getting us the best driver and guide in town:) Kudos to your cafe team as well, Jenny and Vatika(I hope I got her name right), they were always pleasant and cheerful in the morning. Cheers you, guys!

Nothing really, except that the 3 nights was such a short time, wish we could have stayed much longer.

The mouth watering food, the friendly staff, the intimate feel, the beautiful setting. This is a really wonderful place and we didn't want to leave. The staff are very friendly and courteous and the rooms are super comfortable. We were glad we chose a room with air conditioning.

There's nothing really worth mentioning. There's occasional noise from passing cars but that's about it.
