Nice hotel, very conveniently located in busy Kampala and with very friendly staff. I was not happy with my room when I arrived late at night, but the staff was very forthcoming and changed the room right away. Breakfast was good, and the Asian Fusion Restaurant serves great food. The pool is clean and big enough to have a nice swim early in the morning. I would always come back.

Nothing serious. The hotel had arranged an airport pick-up service, which worked very well, only that the driver took the long road back to the hotel rather than the freeway, presumably to avoid paying toll. So when you arrive late at night you might want to remind the driver to take the faster road.

Fairway Hotel & Spa really does surpass any expectations that one could have. It's truly fantastic... The hotel has everything that I need and more in a hotel. The location is excellent and the overall service is truly wonderful. The catering is just top notch of which includes what is available for breakfast lunch or dinner and there is a restaurant that has all that one would need. The room size was just perfect for my needs as a solo traveller, but it would have been excellent for travelling couples and families. The internet service was excellent and the entertainment in regards to TV was vast with all types of channels with Netflix or Amazon Prime etc. The room was very clean as always and the size of the bathroom was a joy. I would highly recommend staying at Fairway if one needs to visit Kampala Uganda for short or long-term purposes without doubt. You are made to feel very safe with security at the gates and all the procedures to looking after the visitors. The area is also very peaceful and nice for going out for a stroll if required. The service that was provided by all the staff was excellent, from the receptionist to the room service team, the cleaners and catering all provided me with a wonderful experience without doubt... There is everything in the facility, including a very large gym for fitness folks, swimming pools all types of beverage areas and places to watch sports. I will be back without doubt. Special thanks to the reception team both the women in the mornings and men who helped out in the evenings. Once again this place is a must 100%.

Nothing... this stay was wonderful

Airport transfer as requested on time with my name noted on a placard. Payment could be added to my hotel bill. Check-in a breeze, most welcomed after some 9 hours in the sky. I was also offered a welcoming juice. I think it could have been watermelon. The room was amazingly large, equipped with a kitchenette, fridge, flat screen TV. with an assortment of international channels, and even a decent size balcony installed with chairs and a table. Shower jet was out of this world and all the usual toiletries minus toothbrush/paste provided. My bed was extremely comfortable and the AC worked just fine, as was the wifi, very stable, if a trifle slow at times. Late night snacks and drinks could be ordered to be bought to your room via the in room telephone, but came with a 15% service tax. Quite efficient, however they forgot my drinks at least twice. Not too important though, as each day I was provided with 3 bottles of water. With three bars to chose from, a wellness and spa facilities, an excellent swimming pool and a gym equipped with all the necessary equipment, including a thread mill, bicycles, punch bag and even a water fountain…what’s not to like?? Oh I forgot to mention live music every Tuesday and Thursday!! Last but by no means lest, was the excellent buffet breakfast containing a wide choice with a different menu everyday. The seating were surrounded by plants…really a bliss! Additionally, the staff were just impeccable; one could feel that there was a genuine desire to serve and insure that guest had a memorable experience ; whether it be finding someone to clean and repair my sneakers after a muddy long day in the city centre, changing my dollars to local currency or finding a Sunday newspaper.

More sign post to locate resident blocks, the place is hugh and akin to a maze….it took my two days to efficiently know how to find my block/room!

Breakfast was amazing, the staff?? so kind.. very playful and it was frankly endearing. Customer service is amazing not just in the hotel but the restaurants around. Everyone wants to make you happy. i loved it . My flight was 3 hours late, as i had stated my arrival time , someone reached out to me to ensure i was okay.. loved every bit of care and that’s why this is an exceptional review.

There was renovation going on, on the day i landed after a long flight, the noise dint let me sleep, there were also days i went out and came back but there was loud music going on. I also forgot a few souvenirs that i bought at the restaurant, Getting that back has proved to be difficult, but it was found

The welcome was a sign of things to come. When I got out the taxi, the gardener saw me, dropped his tools and came to pick me my bags and take me to reception. James the bell boy, extremely professional. Friendly staff. Very helpful and any queries were dealt with promptly Executive Room was exquisite. To sit working on my balcony on the Sunday in silence only for the birds was wonderful. A garden sanctuary in the city. The interior decor is tasteful and the place oozes family heritage. Cleanliness of the room and exterior was top notch. Breakfast warm dishes selection ok but pastry selection poor, dry and poorly presented. I WANTED TO RETURN AT THE WEEKEND BUT NO ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE. IT IS THAT POPULAR!

Not a dislike as the portions were big and for the main part, tasty. It just seemed the food was like pub grub rather than restaurant food but I suppose Fusion covers that.

I absolutely loved the breakfast—it had such a fantastic variety! The lobby was super inviting with plenty of seating, and that special drink I received upon arrival was a lovely touch. My stay at this hotel was truly wonderful! From the moment I walked in, the staff were professional and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The hotel had so many great amenities: several delightful restaurants, a refreshing pool, a lively bar, beautiful gardens, and charming boutique shops, plus a spa! And the location was perfect for exploring nearby restaurants and other hotels.

I enjoyed everything about this hotel.

All the staff is very well trained and will do what is necessary to make you happy! The food is excellent and the room really comfortable. A small note and gift at the end of the stay. I was leaving really early on my last day, so they prepared a breakfast to go and deliver in my room at 5:30am.

They wanted to change me 5$ for losing my room key. You just don't do that to someone who paid 960 usd$ to stay in your hotel. I was really firm that I will not pay for it, and they let it go!

Staff are very friendly, young James is always wearing.a smile, Valerian is the cherry on top. Sara should be the face of the hotel with her designs( always dressed beautifully) another lad working at night also very friendly but over all staff are very friendly and helpful, they listen and act upon immediately

Menu was a bit limited this time around. A lot of Indian cuisine, I struggled a bit with breakfast. I would be very lucky to find a tiny bit of the English breakfast.

Breakfast is AMAZING! Amazing food, coffee, and service. Cynthia is wonderful. Rooms are beautiful and the whole hotel surroundings pool, spa, shops, etc. are bespoke. Place is absolutely breathtaking! Oh and the restaurant food is great. Reagan is an amazing server and the burger is so yummy!

The hotel has a lot of cats - currently 12 of them I was told. I wasn't a fan -- but, I'm not a cat person. Some people might think they're cute...just seemed so strange to me for a hotel to have them living at the property and I didn't like how they came up to me while I was eating. But, overall....the place is wonderful and I'll make it my home base every time I travel to Uganda.

It was a very nice hotel. the staff was super friendly and well trained, the breakfast was amazing, the atmosphere, with the courtyard of flowers and trees, was nice, the room was spacious and both of the restaurants were really good. I stayed here for 10 days during tmy business trip, but would absolutely come back for vacation.

The only negative thing was the housekeeping. They kept forgetting to give me towels, toilet paper and water, and almost everyday I had to call the reception, sometimes repeatedly, to get those things. Also, when I arrived the window lock was broken and didn't close properly. They quickly fixed it but I kept having issues with it during my stay. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe in a room facing the backstreet with a window that would not lock.
