The hotel is in easy reach of the train station as well as the city center and is a good starting point to explore the city. It was very quiet until 8:30, then the construction site started working, but that's nothing the hotel has any influence over.

The door is always closed, you need a code or ring the bell. When I arrived, I was given the code and it worked just fine. The next day, the code no longer worked. And when I mentioned it to the lady opening the door she went: oops, we changed it today. It would have been nice to be told on arrival that the code would change the next day or at all...

We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who kindly opened the garage so that we could park our car. Our room was light & airy. The window shutters were good as it was a ground floor room. Provision of kettle and drink sachets much appreciated

We weren’t too keen on the wet room style bathroom but accepted that we were occupying a room suitable for a disabled client even though that wasn’t what we required. Only one side of the bed had a socket to for a phone charger

Good location, easy walking distance to city centre. Warm welcome, very helpful friendly staff. We had prebooked parking at the Campanile nearby as we were there for 2 nights.Comfortable bed in a small but pleasant room. Staff were helpful with providing us with a map and directions for walking around the city. This is an old hotel which has been updated and retains its charm. Good breakfast.

Because of the age of the hotel the bathroom and separate toilet were small and a bit of a squeeze.

For cyclists it is excellent with safe secure parking for our bikes. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. The receptionist was lovely - recommended and rang up and made a booking at a local restaurant for great meal.

The wifi didn’t work in our room. As we were at the end of the corridor I think the router near our rooms needed to be restarted.

The room was clean and tidy. The hotel was also close enough to be central however not too close to the centre to be excessively noisy or busy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The breakfast did not have enough Gluten Free options therefore I had to have yoghurt and nuts for the duration of my break away. It would be nice to have a filling gluten free carbohydrate to start my day. Also, the pillows, in my opinion felt like bricks. Too hard and I couldn't sleep.

The meal at the hotel was poor. Despite 10 items on the menu no meat ones were available. The vegetarian ones were overcooked and too much rice. The member of staff tried so hard but she was obviously untrained. Garage was expensive and unavailable at times

I recently toured France, Spain & Portugal on my motorcycle. On the basis of reasonable security for my bike, I selected each of my accommodation stops with this in mind and I certainly found it here with the on-site garage. As I had pre-booked the Hotel and parking I was fully aware that there was an additional charge @ 5EUR for the use of the secure garage on site. The Hotel itself was very comfortable, very clean and the large bed was great. I thought the room was great. The location was a short distance from the City Centre and easily walkable. The Hotel Receptionists was very welcoming, and very helpful and they spoke English which was a bonus. The Continental Breakfast was inclusive of the room price, although a limited selection, it was very nice and set you up for the day. I would consider the Saint Martial Hotel to be good value for money and great for an overnight stay.

Nothing really, I actually got what I had expected.

Budget but obviously recently refurbished hotel, so was clean and totally fit for purpose. The young lady on the desk was incredibly helpful even assisting us with paying the on-road parking! Perfect for an overnight travel stay for the 3 of us.

Only slight issue was the parking and breakfast not being accessible for departures before 7:00am but this was totally sorted by the helpful staff member (above) who let us have some coffee and yogurt early.

The staff were all super friendly and efficient and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the rooms nicely decorated. Parking right outside the hotel. The breakfast selection was great and the coffee was superb! We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel.

In the ‘bar’ area there was only beer or red wine available, be nice to have had a broader selection of alcoholic beverages .

Friendly and polite staff. Clean and tidy rooms and the kind receptionist went out of her way to sort some extra rooms out. We were a group of motorcyclists that wanted twin rooms, not doubles and most of us ended up with a room to ourselves. Good, secure parking for bikes. Thank you
