We needed accommodation on the Cotswold Way (with meals) and this is very doable. Just before Tormarton it is accessible by footpath. Room was good and spacious. Staff were friendly. We did not hear the motorway in our room, which is great.

The location is by far not the prettiest and very close to the motorway, but in our case we were only staying for one night as stop-over on the Cotswold Way. Some of the personnel look over-asked. We felt sorry for them. Breakfast was O.K. but rather basic compared to other places we stayed at. Doors were all fire doors so they slam every time they close.

The location was excellent for my concert in Chipping Sodbury, but I would also use the hotel again for leisure purposes, as it is close to Bath and the Cotswolds. The food was excellent for the evening meal, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to book a late check-out, as I had arrived very late on the Saturday evening, and my rehearsal was not until Midday on the Sunday.

These are very small things. Firstly, it would be very easy to have some Bean to Cup coffee machines rather than serving brewed coffee in an insulated pot, which always tastes stewed. Also, facial tissues in the room would be great.

Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Perfect location for an overnight rest on a long journey. Good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Not showstoppers by any means but: - Our room was connected to the neighbours by a standard locked panel door. Not in itself a problem but as a result noise between rooms was not well contained and - Room (and hotel in general) could do with a fresh lick of paint and new carpet in places (carpet in our room was quite heavily stained). Hotel looked in need of some TLC in places.

Had continental breakfast. Location good and easy to find. Good shower and slept well.

My marks would have been higher. I ordered the chicken burger with cheese/ bacon no bun. Very over cooked and had a battle finding chicken. Mentioned it to waitress who said see how you get on. At the end she agreed it was overcooked when she saw my plate. On that basis l didn't fancy the cooked breakfast or an evening pudding. See photos. Didn't worry reception staff as l know they can't always help with bill. Reluctantly signed for bill but won't eat there again.

Although Best Western is a chain the place felt very much like a family run hotel. Staff were great - very natural and friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. You could tell there was a good rapport between staff members too - they were working together as a team. All this rubs off on guests, you feel you are being taken care of, and gives the hotel character. A relaxed and comfortable experience.

Although the hotel was very clean and tidy and well-run, the decor and furnishings could do with a bit of a refresh -somewhat 1980s. Nonetheless this didn't detract from the experience.

The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was well-equipped and a good size. Very comfortable for the summer. The room was generally clean, although the sink had been missed. The dining facilities and bar looked good, if a little small. We had to wait for a couple to finish breakfast before a table became available. On the whole, I think I would use it again if we were ever in the area.

The only heating we found was in the bathroom. OK for the summer but could get chilly in the winter. Sink had not been cleaned. Dining room overcrowded.

Staff, room had the initial wow factor until we looked more closely, great place to stay when doing the tough mudder.

Needs a little maintenance in places the radiator surround was broken at the top, the double doors leading to the garden in our room didn't open, and was a little dated, the food we had our starters then once finished waited another 30mins for the main but wasn't really busy and the food was edible wasn't great but we ate it we but we didn't feel need to complain as staff were fantastic

Lovely mix of old and new - main building a character property but bedroom on ground floor (at the back) felt like it had just been refurbished and was immaculately clean. Staff were all very helpful and polite. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, we didn’t try the restaurant as we’d already eaten but the food looked amazing. The orangery is a lovely room and all the little snugs/bars - it’s like a maze.

Great spacious room with everything we needed for a safe and easy nights sleep. Fridge, tea, coffee, bath & a shower, tv and very comfy bed. So easily located for the M4 motorway yet peaceful. Restaurant great too for our evening meal & a drink before bed in the quirky bar.

We missed breakfast as the sitting was early 7-9am but we weren’t too fussed about this and was our fault.

Location was amazing for Badminton Horse Trials. Price reflected that. Very well placed for exploring the Cotswolds. Restaurant looked pretty but we didn't eat there.

Slightly annoying not being able to control the heating totally by yourself - was turned on remotely then you could control but think it went off overnight again. Decor in the room was a little tired but it was clean and comfortable.
