Lovely quiet location. Nice clubhouse and helpful, friendly staff at check in. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels, plenty of tea/coffee. Plenty of plug sockets. Shower was great. We all slept well. Full breakfast/kids breakfast was hot and tasty with quality produce.

Sky box in room didn't work (although it was very windy) Breakfast was on the expensive side, poached eggs were beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, but just luke warm. No one asked how the food was, and to be fair I didn't complain. If I was being picky, wall lights/picture frames in room could do with being dusted. Also kettles never fit under taps very well...

The staff were the friendliest we’ve ever encountered and we’ve stayed in many places. Nothing was ever too much trouble, never used forced or fake smiles. When my little boy needed extra pillows, Rich was on it straight away, when my nephew was enquiring about the golf simulator as the beautiful surroundings was peaking his interest with golf. Rich came to the rescue again by kindly letting him borrow his own clubs so he could have a go. He was so kind to us all. Georgie and Tiana were sweethearts, always smiling and very kind. Didn’t catch any other of the employees names but all were lovely. However these 3 were the ones we dealt with consistently and they stood out for their exceptional professionalism yet kind and approachable manner. Beautiful surroundings and A class staff, what is not to love about this place!

Very pleasant stopover for one night. Nice environment if you like golf and has the bonus of a driving range. Friendly staff, good breakfast and evening meal, but the bar was rather noisy. The room seemed very new and clean and the bed was super comfortable. Lots of free parking and very close to the motorway for onward journey. Next time I will play golf!

The check in was very simple but it took me a while to find my way around, trying several rooms before I found someone.

Beautiful location at the golf club and view from the club house. The food and drinks were good and reasonable. We felt the food was all fresh and we all enjoyed our meal. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

We did not have a view of the golf course in our room, which would have been a bonus. In the morning the sun was out and we would have liked to sit outside and have a drink looking out to the golf course. Although you can do that at the clubhouse on the verandah, the seats and tables had mist on them, so they were wet.

Beautiful surroundings and it’s obvious the golf club works in harmony and is respectful of nature. We saw swans, geese, moorhens, various song birds, and hares during our visit. It’s nice to stay somewhere that takes care of its human and non-human visitors. This was our second time staying and our accommodation could not be faulted. Very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean room, comfy beds and a fantastic wet room with nice hot shower. Big TV with lots of options including sports so the whole family were happy! Decided to eat in the open bar and had a very enjoyable evening. Everyone at Players Golf Club is friendly, polite and relaxed. The bar staff - Cher and Mandy - were both brilliant.

Nice location, and easy enough to find. The room was small but not in a bad way. It was a nice room to stay in that was clean, tidy and modern.

The noise!! I had an early start at 5:30 in the morning and was up until about 1AM because you could hear every sound from the stairwell above by the bar. When people walked down the stairs, you could just hear the loud pounding of feet on the ceiling. 1AM the room next door decided the wanted a shower which should be fine but my lord, the pipes scream when the water is turned on and the walls are so thing, it literally sounds like they’re using the shower in my room with the door open!

A real surprise. I booked because filton prices were mad for the night I needed and I was not expecting much. Well I was very wrong! Rooms were well appointed and clean, the decore of the bar and the rooms was really well done, and the food was excellent. I had burger and chips which sounds simple but hands down it was the best burger I have had for years and even the frys were perfect. The pint of hobgoblin i had was lovely so they also keep a good bar.

They serve breakfast from 8am and I had to leave at 7:30....So not really a complaint I'm just grumpy I missed breakfast :-)

Very comfortable bed and really clean rooms. Extremely quiet at night as very rural.

Non-existent check -in (no instructions) -had to check in at a busy bar, which closed straight after a golf function ended. NOWHERE to get food and nobody to recommend where to eat or drink. One golfing function guest told me that the travelodge nearby was serving food and had a bar!!! Wifi stopped working on second night and nobody around to ask why. Directions / postcode to the hotel lead you to a farm that is the other side of the Golf course

Breakfast in the golf club bar was freshly-cooked and good quality, and good value. Clean comfortable room with reasonable shower. Friendly staff.

No bedside lights in the room - a simple table lamp would've been really useful. And only one bedside table for the double bed. Breakfast menu just a bit limited (eg no option of wholemeal toast). Google maps took us just off the main road, but not all the way to the clubhouse - quite a dark mystery drive, but fine once we had done it once.

Great to find a hotel that accommodates a family of 5 at a super reasonable rate. The staff were super helpful when running late after getting stuck at the Bristol balloon fiesta they stayed in contact and opened our room for us giving us fab instructions on how to find everything. Would highly recommend.
