The property was very clean and very well cared for. All paint, finishes, etc. were extremely well maintained. Bed was comfortable and bed linens were fine. We loved the gas fire pit in the courtyard and the Adirondack chairs.

We found the space very clean, uncluttered but pretty basic (my husband described it as a "cheap and cheerful". But he did not know that I paid $792 for 3 nights, which is not cheap.) It would be nice to have some wine glasses in the room. (I'm sure you can get cheap ones for $2/ea), and some area rugs on the floor to warm up the space. In #1 - the banquet and round table seemed very weird to us. A sofa or loveseat w/coffee table would seemed much more fitting. In the bathroom there seemed to be plenty of room for a proper vanity. The pedestal sink(low budget) allowed little room for personal items.

Excellent location with great parking and easy access to rooms. Clean room and comfortable beds. Nicely appointed bathroom. Friendly staff who provided excellent service. Will definitely stay again.

Room had nice space but the furniture was positioned so you could not easily access the ac or the side of the bed. The refrigerator was old and freezer had no door and could not accommodate our cold pack. Shower floor was unexpectedly slippery when wet.

Location perfect for walking all over Solvang. Room has fridge which is great for own picnic supplies. Quiet at night. Outside searing comfy.

TV in room was difficult to turn on each time. Had to manually turn on, remote messed up, had to reply it every time. Comment…photo on booking site shows outside little bar …never saw it open or being offered!

The staff was phenomenal from before we even checked in to after we checked out. I had made a request for my room to have wine and though they didnt have any on the property they gave me options to order it to them. They had it ready at the room with glasses and an opener for us. The attention to detail was amazing

The cost of the rooms was a little high in comparison to what we got. Though it was a beautiful inn, the room was relatively small to the price per night. There weren’t any extra clothing room which worked out alright since we didn't stay long but it would've been better if the cost was a little less.

This was a great little place to stay at in Solvang. At walking distance of every little corner of Solvang, which was very much appreciated. The hotel was nice and well maintained. Our room had 2 Queen beds, a table with chairs, complimentary waters, tea and coffee, a TV, as well as an ironing board and a small fridge. We loved the hardwood floors throughout the room. The fact that the hotel is pet friendly is a huge plus, and having free parking in front of the hotel was another big plus. The outside had some tables and firepits for people to hangout. We definitely recommend this hotel to couples, friends or even families. And we would stay here again if we had to come back to Solvang.

This is not negative, just suggestions to improve the rooms: - Towel racks could be useful. The bathroom only had 2 hooks, and it was not possible to have all towels hung. - Entrance door gap filler. The gap between the door and the floor was pretty big to let air enter through.

Location, ease of access was great. Room was nice, clean. We didn’t use the amenities since it was just an over-nighter but it’s nice that there was the option.

I felt it was a little pricey for the type of stay but that’s probably just the going rate for the area. Otherwise the facility was perfect for our needs.

Very centrally located and in a really fun area if you like strolling around on a nice day and do some beer/wine tasting. The room looked newly renovated. The floors were clean, the bed was comfy and the blanket was really nice and soft The entry is by pin number and never had to make contact with anyone

Nothing really to dislike. I did notice that the astro turf was taken off and was rolled. So the front of the property was dirt. If it was in place, I'm sure it would have looked really nice. Either way if you are in Solvang, you likely will not spend much time on the property anyway

What a great stay! The Viking inn exceeded our expectations. It’s at the top of the town of Solvang but a quick walk to all the restaurants and shops we wanted to visit. The rooms were extremely cute and thoughtful in their amenities. We appreciated the welcome note with recommendations and information, as well as the contactless check in. We will definitely be staying here for our next visit :-)

There were not enough hooks to hang towels or other items or shelving to put things.

That’s he property was within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops; we didn’t have to drive anywhere and there was a mini mart right across the street. It looks like the place is being remodeled. Apparently the exterior has already been significantly upgraded as it looks modern in comparison to the interior of the rooms. The staff is very kind and accommodating. The beds were very clean and comfortable, and the rooms had properly working mini-refrigerators, heaters and microwaves.

I really have no complaints, I would only say that the aesthetic of the interior of the rooms needs a lot of help. But it looks like hotel management is working on that. The bedding had been upgraded, but the dresser, curtains and wallpaper are a little dated. This was not an issue though, the room was very comfortable.
