The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly, polite, and helpful — they shared lots of useful information about the stay, the area, and available services. The hotel’s location is also excellent — the beach, attractions, bus stop, and cafés are all within a 5-minute walk. Our room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable.

Despite the great views from the balcony and rooftop, most rooms don’t have exterior windows and feel quite isolated. Due to the building’s layout, sound isolation can be an issue — if other guests are loud, it becomes a problem. There’s also no proper ventilation, as the only way to get fresh air is by keeping the inner window (facing the hallway) open at all times.

Excellent location, first row on the beach. The room is very spacious and was perfect for our family of four. Everything worked and the wifi was very fast. The tv had netflix which was a bonus. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and we made tagine every night. There are a couple of small markets nearby, as well as lots of restaurants and cafes. The water pressure in the shower was excellent with very hot water and there was a hairdryer, was was nice. The garden patio is lovely with views of the ocean. One of our best stays in Morocco yet.

Small downside was the construction directly in front of the hotel.

The room was the suite with seaview terrace, refridgerator and a couch, simply great. I liked everything from the first moment and could have stayed for weeks (extended my stay from 1 night to five nights). The auberge is situated first line near the beach but a little layed back from the street, so you got not disturbed by traffic noise, which anyway is not profound in Sidi Kaouki (and it has no or little light pollution during night). The staff members were super welcoming, nothing was too much for them. Thanks a lot to Fatna, Mariam and Ouassa, who prepared the petit dejeuner avec orange juice, msemmen, creme cheese (instead of the usual LaVache) and omelette and did the daily cleaning of the room. I felt like at home and was even invited by the manager, Omar, to a celebration with local musicians and dinner arranged for a student group (chukran again, and to the caretaker, who was always helping me with the key). Moreover, the auberge had really the charme of a former grand Hotel (as somebody else has already noted) with its Zeliges and special architecture. This was the place I was looking for.

Nothing important; only after few days, a little more varied breakfast options would have been welcomed (e.g. Amlou, jaoûrt or fruits). There came up a smell in the bathroom after some days, but after I let water into the unused drain outside the shower, it disappeared immediately. The rooms inside only have a window towards the patio, but the public balconies on both sides (garden and ocean) can be used by anybody.

EVERYTHING! And I meant it quite literally. Omar, the manager was absolutely amazing, super helpful, he arranged for everything we wanted - in room massage, taxi service to Essaouira and back, etc. Anything we wanted, they were ready to accommodate. The property it self is quite new, well done, very clean and located just a few steps from the beach and surf schools. The staff were wonderful, always with a smile helping us out with everything.

The breakfast spread was a bit limited (compared to our other stays in Morocco), however really fresh and good. Just that the quantity and options were slightly limited.

The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. The beds were comfy with good linens, the shower was hot and the breakfast excellent. The location here couldn't be better and there was off road parking for our motorcycles. There was a very pleasant courtyard to sit in and a nice lounge area. There are several restaurants close by for evening meals/lunches.

Nothing really, we chose the cheapest room as we are on a strict budget and it was good value but not luxurious. Perfect for us. Some outdoor furniture on the roof terrace would be good.

Incredible sense of hosting , they make you feel like at home. The hotel is right in front of the ocean and the small fort - rooms and common space are spacious The managers speak a pure french like nobody does anymore in france :-)

Slightly run down, but that gives a local colour , and excellent value for money

Welcoming and friendly staff, peaceful place with spacious areas. great breakfast, we stayed in a big room with a lovely terrasse and sea view. Location in Kaouki is also very close to restaurants/beach/surfshops. Also there is a bus stop/taxi just in front of the house.

Everything was perfect. Only dislike was the mattress as we are used to a firmer one. But I think it depends on each individual so not an issue.

I can say that Marabout is one of the best hostels I've stayed in till now. I went with my sister, we really loved the place. The location is perfect, just few steps from the beach, they have a public terrace from where we could stay for a long time enjoying the beach view and the sunset ooogh was tremendous! We also could watch the stars at night and talk <3 and we saw a meteorite which made our night. The staff is so kind and their reception was so good. There are some rooms with a private terrace, but we stayed in the one with the patio view, it was very good as well, very clean, and it included clean towels, toilet paper, soap & shampoo, and of course clean sheets and the beds were so comfy. The breakfast was so good, and the women who served us were so kind and welcoming. I definitely will come back here and will stay for longer!

Nothing. I just suggest that the garden could be better, and the parking needs to be constructed because the rocks can be harmful for the cars.

The auberge is close to the beach and the main spots in Sidi Kauki. The rooms are of generous size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicous and the Staff was really helpful and generous. I can really recommend AUberge du Marabout!

The window went into the alley, if you wanted fresh air during the night, everything happening outside can be heard. Otherwise the rooms were great.

Wow where to begin! Beautiful, spacious and bright accommodation and so clean which is a really refreshing contrast to all the small and dark places we have stayed in Morocco so far. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and worth travelling to Sidi Kaouki for to slow down and unwind. So great that we had to extend our stay. But our favourite part of all is the incredible and kind staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home! Even doing our laundry. Like a second family we will miss you!
