The hotel is situated well, being on the edge of the old city and within 5 or so minutes walk of the railway station. Check-in was straightforward and the welcome drink a nice touch. The room was nicely furnished, and the bathroom modern and clean. It's wasn't an especially spacious room, but at the same time not cramped. The bed was pretty comfortable.

The air conditioner did cool the room well, but unfortunately it made a buzzing noise every so often, which was just loud enough to wake you up again if you were on the edge of falling asleep! The conditioner also stopped working by itself after some hours, meaning the room warmed, became less comfortable, you woke up as a result, turned it back on, and the cycle repeats! Our room also had a broken window handle when we arrived, so the window didn't perfectly seal on the first night and there were some noise from drunks outside, but to the hotel's credit they had already organized a repair, so when we went to reception to tell them about it, there was somebody waiting already to go and fix it.

Very good location, close to the church and the riverbank. Easy parking, the parking house is just behind the hotel. Breakfast is fine, the strong smell of cheese is a bit irritating. Room is clean, but size for family is small. Lift is super small and slow.

Very nice hotel at the heart of the old town in Regensburg. Parking just next door, for extra, though reasonable, fee. All sights in walking distance. Quiet air-conditined room. Very good bathroom. Comfortable bed. Fridge, electric kettle, evrything you might need. Excellent breakfast. Good wi-fi. Very helpful staff. We would like to thank again all the ladies at the Reception for their help with the green sticker for our car. We definetly recommend hotel Peterstor.

The room was a bit small for us; we stopped in Regensburg during a long road trip and we had a lot of luggage, that were difficult to arrange in the room.

We had modern rooms on the top floor of the hotel. Nice for noise but it was long walk up. They do have a tiny, claustrophobic elevator but I prefered the stairs. It's in a great location for walking around and exploring the old town of Regensburg. It's not in the middle of things but we liked that it was in a quieter spot.

The bathroom had a tiny shower stall and it was marginally modern. The towels were thin and we were only given two. We had an A/C wall unit but it was capped at 22 degrees celcius (we could not make it colder) and it shut off on it's own every 90 minutes. This was frustrating because we were on the top floor and it got hot at night. We could not open the window because we overlooked the 24-hour lit parking garage. I woke up multiple times per night to turn the A/C back on. Needless to say, I was annoyed and slept terribly. The breakfast buffet was ok but they often had flies around some of the food that sat out.

Excellent location - easy access from the train station and also to the main part of the old city - can walk anywhere. A very comfortable and clean room, with excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. A small touch like a welcome drink, a bottled water at checkout, and a cute and helpful map of the city on the room wall - all very nice.

The bathroom fan got loud at times, and we didn't seem to be able to control the heat, but it was comfortable enough not to raise the issue - we were happy to be there.

We actually stayed at the Hotel Das Regensberg because the Hotel am Peterstor was overbooked, so this review pertains to the Hotel Das Regensberg. I can't say enough about how perfect this hotel was. The hotel is spotlessly clean with very hip decorations. The breakfast was amazing and much better than anything we've had at similar hotels. You could make your own Belgian waffles! The air conditioning was perfect and made it so comfortable to sleep. The eating area was a perfect place to have a complimentary welcome drink and play a game. The bathroom was great for a woman - you can plug in a curling iron and it has good lighting! I will definitely book this hotel again. It is literally next door to the parking, which is easily accessible from the autobahn. Excellent stay in Regensberg!

There was a slightly funky smell in the shower at first, but it went away quickly and wasn't a bother after that.

The hotel is conveniently located in the old town of Regensburg, the front desk was very welcoming and informative when we arrived, the rooms were clean and comfortable, they are a bit smaller as others have described but not unusual for hotels of this type. They offered us a welcome beverage and also gave us great info on the Christmas markets and sights around town. Parking is located right behind the hotel and was easy to access. Overall a great experience... would recommend!

Am Peterstor was very handily located for the station, the sights of Regensburg and many restaurants. The room was simply furnished but had key features of air-conditioning and a small fridge.

The air-conditioning was intermittently noisy and turned itself off after a few hours, like in the middle of the night. The fridge only operated when the room card (or other object!) was inserted in the central slot.

I spent a couple of nights here earlier in the year. The hotel is ideally located - not only relatively close to the station, but also very close to the city centre, with numerous cafes, bars, and restaurants in very easy reach. The room was nicely decorated and quiet, plus the breakfast options were extensive! The offer of a drink on arrival - I had a local beer - and the gift of a (glass) bottle of mineral water on leaving were both very nice touches, emphasising the family feel. Highly recommended!

The location was fantastic. Within 5 minutes of the train station and a few minutes walk to the old town. Air conditioning was lovely to cool room down quickly.

No member of staff on the property after 10pm, a bit worrying for a female solo traveller. Courtyard room wasn't very quiet, staff below taking breaks and smoking. Heating came on in the morning although the weather was very hot.
