Great location near lots of Restaurants & businesses. There was a good size outdoor (seasonal) pool. This is an older property.Our room was updated somewhat. Love having the microwave and half fridge. Decent cable TV selections. Friendly staff. Good Free breakfast; hard boiled eggs, juices, bagels, cream cheese, cereal,,fresh fruit, coffee & tea, toast, English muffins with variety of spreads ... Lots to choose from.

The carpeting is a turn off. I understand it would be a huge expense to replace due to the massive size of this Hotel. Perhaps if they could replace with flooring several rooms at a time, it would really update the overall feel of the place for some.

The Inn at Portland is a discount hotel designed for cleanliness cost efficiency and convenience. It was our first time at the hotel so you always worry ( will the room be clean, the beds and pillows comfortable. The Inn passed with high marks on these 3 items and the staff was great. If you want to be in the heart of downtime and have world class accommodations this should not be your choice. If you want to spend your money on fun and use the hotel simply to sleep comfortably choose the Inn at Portland

I had the same room as last time. It was much cleaner. The breakfast was much better. I made good use of the desk, chair, and convenient outlets. It is a well appointed room. Checkout was as convenient and charming as check-in.

There are a couple details that were missed. But they do read comments and seek to improve. I suspect a backflow issue in connected to the itty-bitty prizes in the toilet. It'll be a decent hotel it keeps going in this direction.

We loved that there was a pool. I also liked how the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and lotion all comes in large bottles not individual ones.

Definitely needs a garbage can outside by the pool, people are just putting their garbage in buckets that were left out

The Inn at Portland was located conveniently off the highway and easy to find. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful.

The free breakfast was not very good.

The front desk man was incredibly awesome in helping me with some card issues and was super accommodating and kind. I loved all of the staff as they were all kind, attentive, and friendly. Loved my stay with kind people that treated me as family!

The staff is very considerate and helpful.

TV didn't work in room, however they brought a new one the next day. 2nd day laundry was down and they fixed it right away. Great family run business and everyone is here on site to remedy any situation

Amenities were very good ....toiletries, fridge, etc. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. We used the laundry and the breakfast was fine.

It was a bit far from Portland centre.

The owners! They are both the face and inner workings of a caring, responsive, hands on proprietor. They do all the work, from checkins to preparing and replenishing a nice breakfast to cleaning the rooms.

Reception area clean and modern, beds comfy. Friendly staff.

Key cards kept having to be reset as they failed twice. The decorating and carpets in the hall ways and rooms, was a let down after the modern reception area, this needs addressing, as very dull and old fashioned
