I enjoyed my recent stay at the La Quinta Hotel in Portland, Maine. The online check-in process made arrival smooth and efficient. From start to finish, the staff were professional, warm, and available to assist with any questions I had. My room was cozy and comfortable, allowing me to feel well-rested before continuing my travels. I appreciated the continental breakfast: especially the freshly brewed coffee and toasted bagels, which were highlights of my mornings. The fitness center was clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with towels, disinfectant wipes, and water. La Quinta’s location is ideal for travelers who want to explore downtown Portland without paying downtown prices. It’s also conveniently close to the Portland International Airport, and I was grateful for the easy-to-book airport shuttle. Overall, I appreciated the convenience, comfort, and value of my stay, and especially the warmth and professionalism of the staff.

Breakfast selections were good- Bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and shower worked great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was steps away from the baseball game and also my husband's eye appointment....that was not even expected!!

Room was a bit dated especially considering today's technology. New lamps with USB outlets bedside would be a great upgrade. Not everybody brings (although we did) their whole chargers for phones and ipads, etc, so to have a multiple plug in unit (if not on the lamp, then standalone) would be great. We were on the later side of breakfast and they had run out of both eggs and cream cheese. The eggs were replenished within about 10-15 minutes, but the cream cheese must have been completely out.

The fact that the site said probably free parking and then I was charged $10 each night to park. I had made these reservations back in March. That statement is truly misleading and kind of irritated me. Please change that to ‘parking fee will be $10 per night’. I felt I paid enough for the room for two nights and was surprised with an extra $20

The room had all the amenities and more than we needed. Cleanliness was very good especially in the bathroom with no signs of mold around the tub as there sometimes is in motels. The breakfast was also tasty more than adequate. Checking in and out went well. The night clerk and the young lady tending the breakfast area were efficient and friendly.

We were next to a utility room and heard pounding for a brief time in the early morning hours. There was also the sound of water running frequently during the night that I kept hearing, being a light sleeper.

We requested a room on the first floor or near elevator for my spouse with her walker. This was taken care of us, and in fact the room itself was accessible with a wide open format. My wife appreciated it. There were also several handicapped parking spaces which kept me from having to go back and forth from the parking lot to the front door. From an accessibility standpoint, this was the best we have run across.

Nothing really. A later checkout time would have been handy, since my wife had morning day surgery, but I suspect if I had asked, we would have been granted a later checkout time with the fee waived. But since a I didn’t know how late we would be at the hospital, I didn’t bother. So just an observation, not a complaint. It is a great hotel.

the staff - especially the support staff and and maintenance teams - were amazing. I had a truly horrible trip, through no fault of the hotel, and every member of the staff worked extra hard to make sure we had what we needed for the whole week. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool was perfect, and the location was honestly great - easy to walk to downtown/sites, but also easy and low stress to drive to the hotel from the highway or airport. The breakfast had something for everyone! I am terrible with names - I want to give a special shout out to everyone, but only remember Patrick and Robbin's names ... super thanks to everyone, including/especially Patrick and Robbin 🙂

The internet is NOT good, I ended up having to use a hotspot the whole time (but the staff did their darndest to fix it!), and the key cards kept demagnetizing (even though kept separate from other cards and phones). Not the staff's fault, but Windham should fix this. Also the TV was super lame (slow, terrible selection), but we had laptops and hotspots, so we were content.

As soon as you enter the hotel, there is a very pleasant smell in the lobby. The staff gave us all the necessary information, was very nice. The room is new, very cozy and spacious. The towels are snow-white, soft, new. The room was very light, clean, without unpleasant odors. The air conditioner works quietly. I would like to separately note the very good cosmetics in the bathroom. We were very pleased, had a great rest and will definitely come back here on our next trip to Portland. I recommend it to everyone. Everything was top notch. Thank you

The hotel was very nice and staff was very pleasant. This hotel seems to be new so everything was great, our room was very spacious and we lovely the wooden floors, no carpet. The only downside was in the shower when taking a shower the water leaked out onto the outside floor. So we had to keep a towel there so as not to wet the entire floor. Also, the town suffered major power outages due to a snowstorm and our second night we were awakened super early due to the town’s crew who we’re having a meeting in the lobby and were being very loud. Due to the location of our room which was right next to the lobby it woke us up and we couldn’t go back to sleep. This the 4 stars. There’s good parking and it’s close to everything. I definitely recommend this place.

The bathroom shower leaking unto the floor.

My association with LaQuinta has been a long-standing love affair. I don't travel as much as in prior years but have always tried to stay at LaQuinta if possible. From check-in to check out, I truly cannot find anything wrong. All the amenities necessary for stay were excellent. I really would like to keep LaQuinta a secret to myself. But knowing the LaQuinta outstanding reputation I feel comfortable letting others know.

Not a fan of DISH TV and hardly watch. It snowed 4/3-4/2024 and the antenna was covered and transmission of tv was out for a little while. This is not a DISLIKE; this is just an FYI..

Our stay was great! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff - every one we met - was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was yummy and included many choices, from scrambled eggs and sausage, to waffles, bagels, cereal and fruit, juice and yogurt. It is easy to find, but not too close to the highway, so none of the annoying highway noise. We did see a few trains go by our window, but that was fun and not too often. We highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Only the weather could have been better, but that's not on you! :)
