There is nothing I disliked about the Hyatt on Court in Iowa City - and I can be quite picky! There are several things that stood out to me: one is the cleanliness of the room and the common spaces; two: the friendly staff, especially on a second floor for the breakfast service. From the cleaning staff to the people who refresh the food - top notch. They were friendly but we're very effective in their job. They seem to take pride in everything they do and that I love to see. Makes such a difference when you see people working with a smile on their face while excelling. I had a few questions about the food, the variety of fruit, and the employee, and he sought me out to share the answers..The young lady who was cleaning up after everybody, every morning I was there, she was polite courteous and quick. Great qualities! My room was great. I was located on the 12th floor, perfect view great lighting (options!), and I could adjust the temperature of the air conditioner, which is key. The bathrooms are large, plenty of towels, and the shampoo and conditioner were surprisingly good. The price is super reasonable. Considering your stone's throw away from The Graduate - which is very nice - I love the concept and stay in the Princeton New Jersey one often enough. But I would return to the Hyatt any day of the week. Better prices, great breakfast, great staff. Well done!

The reception personnel were really great, especially Vanessa, who was such a sweetheart. The price was a tremendous value, even for the off-season, since this is a very spacious, nicely appointed building.

The hotel is 2-3 blocks south of the heart of town, in a transitional zone to kind of a funkier, low-income area, so not the best, though not too bad; Parking a car was a bit of an adventure--for $15 you have to go around the block and then down to the lowest level since the whole parking structure is shared with a big apartment complex; the booking.com description mentions a bar and food, but what they have is VERY modest and was no longer open at 9:30 pm on a Friday night!

Everyone was really nice to us and showed us a great hospitality, we loved the facilities (gym and pool), the hotel is in a great location downtown: easy to find and in a walking distance from everything downtown. The room was very clean and we liked the space and the TV. Amazing hair products in the bathroom and a great view from the window.

Since we're from another country, we thought that there could have been more continental breakfast options and not only the American breakfast. There could have been a better range of breads, cooked meals, cake and also more protein options. During our stay we only had eggs, bacon (or sausage, the second day), french toast (or waffle) and yogurt/oatmeal for breakfast options.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. The night person came to our room at 1:00 am at night to adjust the temperature and bring a blanket for my wife - many thanks. The breakfast buffet style food (eggs, bacon, oatmeal, fruit etc) was fresh, varied and tasteful. My wife and I were very pleased having breakfast there. The heated garage was helpful, especially during the winter night when it was 15 F, with a strong wind outside. It's very close to the University and local business.

The hallway carpeting may need to be replaced, but this is a senior level corporate decision, not reflective of local staffing.

the breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, coffee, some fruit. The hotel was located close to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. The air conditioning worked well. The bed was comfortable.

Carpet was stained with orange spots when we opened the door. We reserved a twin, two beds room, with sofa but got a king bed only. Was told that Booking.com overbooked the type of room we requested. The sliding door on the shower did not close all of the way.

Great location and breakfast was very good. I really liked that my room had a couch area (which could be turned into a second bed).

Little things: The person who cleaned my room after the first day left the garbage bag (with my soap in it) on the sink; I would have liked a lamp where the desk was; the tap water was tepid and wouldn't get cold; I couldn't find an ice machine and learned at the front desk that there is only an ice machine on the even numbered floors from the 6th floor up (I was on the 5th floor).

The room was really nice. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff suggested a place to eat and directed us there, even though we were unable to find the place. We did find somewhere to eat and enjoyed seeing the downtown area on foot. Just wish I had more time to spend looking around.

The pool water was a little cold for me and the shower never got hot. The carpet in the hallway looked like it needed replaced and some parts of the hotel looked runned down.

room was amazing and spotless. Loved the enormouse lit mirror in bathroom. Bed was super comfortable. Felt more like a suite with room dividing screen. We had a west facing view that was great for sunset and on a high floor great views of the campus. Breakfast was good. No unique items but was hot and fresh.

no lotion. typically hotels have that so I don't pack it - especially when flying. Parking garage was creepy

I'd say the only downfall is the location due to parking. The parking garage is nice availability though. It's just very chaotic downtown lol so if you are not familiar or have anxiety it isn't the most stressless spot to get around. The hotel itself was nice! No complaints from our stay. Staff was extremely friendly! Love the noon checkout time as well!

This hotel is located right downtown, walking distance to everything including the University of Iowa campus. Bright and clean, very modern and spacious. Breakfast included a wide variety of hot and cold foods with ample seating. Pool is really nice! Very warm and pleasant

We loved this hotel! Would 100 percent stay here again
