Gorgeous outdoor area featuring the Sweet song (chirp) of countless wild birds. Lovely home, comfortable beds, fabulous shower, yummy breakfast, and John and Trish are exceptional hosts, so helpful and friendly and at the sand time extremely considerate of their guests’ personal space.

Nothing comes to mind

Trish & John are extremely kind hosts. They took very good care of us and ensure we feel like at home. The terrace overlooking the wonderful garden is a perfect place for a drink at night or breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed it a lot. The bedroom is very comfortable. The bathroom well equipped and spot on. Many thanks and we will come back should we decide to visit the region again.

We loved how welcoming and relaxed John and Trish are. It made us immediately feel at home. We were pleasantly surprised to have the bathroom to ourselves as we assumed we were sharing. This is not the case. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable.

The view was phenomenal, the place was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast included fresh fruit from the owners' tree.

Everything was great, but for some, a lack of TV in the bedroom may be an issue.

Breakfast was nice with a variety of fresh fruits and cold cereal, although I would have preferred a hot option. Overall a wonderful place to stay that I would recommend to friends.

John and trish were very accommodating. Helped and guided us well. Breakfast is also very fresh and good for a continental type. Fresh fruits, spreads cereals and also lactose free options. Very peaceful place in middle of nature and greenery… thanks a lot

The location is rural and quiet with a lovely view over distant bay and hills. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and great in giving us info about local attractions and sights. I can really recommend this bed & breakfast which is so nice and value for money.💐🙂

Everything about Al Der Rocs B&B exceed our expectations. It was my parents first night in New Zealand (ever!) and this blew them out of the water. Our extra requests were accommodated with ease (having gf options for breakfast) & everyone thought it was superb. Very quiet, great location, stunning view, wonderful hosts. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

there's nothing to dislike (except that the hosts are leaving, which means others will not be able to experience their hospitality)

I liked the overall experience of a beautiful setting and the nice breakfast overlooking the lovely gardens looking out to the bay with the boats. The hosts John & Trish are very hospitable and made me feel very at home, we had a good chat at breakfast.

Nothing in particular, possibly a tea / coffee station in the bedroom may be an option, even though the kitchen isn't far away, also means you won't disturb the hosts if you're up early or awake late.
