We loved everything in this hotel. Even though the hotel is located next to a grandeur hotel, and we visited the next door hotel, I would definitely recommend this hotel. When entering the lobby, a very inviting lobby draws you in. The colours, the furniture, the welcoming personnel. Everything was outstanding. Personnel in the hotel deserves an extra mention. They are very welcoming, entertaining, never too formal or stiff, and nothing is too much. Big shout out to the team. Especially considering the hotel just opened its doors. The rooms are spacious, spotless clean, great beds (although some might find it too soft, but we like it), nice balcony (we were located in the main building), and a convenient, clean bathroom. The hotel has great heated swimming pools, a fun waterpark area for the kids, some games outside, a fun kids’ club with super friendly staff. Also the beach is a nice place to spend time. Everywhere enough chairs and beds near the swimming pool. We are very experienced travellers and stayed in the best hotels in the world (Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Raffles, Mandarin Oriental, etc), but this hotel is in our favorites list.

Nothing. If I had to name one thing, it might be location. A lot of constructions is going on in the area, although there is not disturbance. But a lot will change in the area, as the first Casino in the Middle-East is being build opposite the hotel (water side) and that will attract many new visitors to this area.

Amazing facilities, very clean and feels new. Kids had a blast on the slides, the adult pool is the largest I have ever seen, feels like you’re staying at Jumeriah with the use of buggy’s and hospitable staff. Room size very big, you get a shower and a bath, good quality material used throughout and most importantly very comfortable bed. All the staff very attentive and accommodating. We visited the property for a staycation, we did not want to go back!! Had a great time. Thank you!

We were upgraded! We have the garden villa with full sea view and access. The room was very spacious, good for family of four. Everything is new. The bed was comfortable and sheets were at its finest. The reception manager and team were very welcoming and hospitable. We were treated for a tea/coffe while waiting to be attended.

What needs attention is the staff needs to be trained in the restaurant for high volume of guests. No one attended the reception of the restaurant and we were waiting for good 20 minutes before someone attended to us. The waiter was holding the straw where you are sipping. People who are working at the restaurant should not have body odor, it just looses the appetite.

It was absolutely a wonderful stay, very nice atmosphere, stunning landscape, excellent warm pools, rich buffets and clean facilities.. I would like to thank the friendly staff, especially Joel from East restaurant, Sultan in reception and the Uzbek golf cart driver (I don`t remember his name).

The staff were fantastic! The front desk were extremely helpful and have a great welcoming attitude. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.

The Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort has become our go-to for UAE based Staycations. It's our second time here, and we loved it even more vs. the first time. Firstly, the space is well thought out, so you do not feel the crowds and have a variety of pool options, with various temperatures and pool depths, to choose from. The beach is massive, and if it wasn't for the neighbouring construction across the water, it would melt into the infinity pool. The in room food options are great - the kids' food menu is amazing! From chicken noodle soup to soft chicken breast to sandwiches; I was relieved that it wasn't all fried fish and chicken fingers! There are nice activities like a chess board, ping pong tables, foozball and a water park. Expensive ice cream, but it was delicious, so a welcomed indulgence every day. The room options are also great - we personally love the Luxury Room with Garden View. The staff are friendly and kind; shout out to Ivy and Swami, but also all the staff. If I was to give any feedback, it would be to diversify the food options at the food venues. Otherwise, this is our go to place and will come again and again!

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — not just us, but our beloved pets too! Their pet-friendly environment truly sets them apart. The amenities were top-notch, the beach access was fantastic, and the friendly staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. We were surprised with a free cake and a warm anniversary greeting, and to top it off, we were given a late checkout, which was a wonderful gesture. A special shoutout to Thin, Kasun, Mazan, and the amazing reception team who made our stay unforgettable. Your kindness and hospitality were truly heartwarming. If I could rate this hotel, it would be an 11/10! I highly recommend Sofitel Al Hamra to anyone looking for a luxurious, pet-friendly getaway. We had a 8 month old pup with us. We had a blast. The service was exceptional especially of Catrina at the reception. She went above and beyond to ensure we have a good time. Being a dog lover herself she was so sincere and empathetic. The rooms were immaculate. We stayed at one with the pool. Even Vamshi the housekeeping staff was so generous and kind.

The breakfast was basic like what you get in any 3 star hotel in the the UAE. For a five star property like Sofitel expected the spread to be better. Below par compared to Meridian in Fujairah or Intercontinental in Dubai.

The property is new and clean. Well maintained and nice staff especially at the Reunion restaurant. The mussels were bad and cold but the staff managed well.

When we arrived, the room was not ready (fair enough it was 20mins until check-in time). However, we were told that the rooms needed 1 extra hour to clean and they will let us do 1 hour late check-out which we agreed. However, when we got our room keys the other staff told us that late check-out might not be possible which on the day of check-out they called us 30mins before check-out time and sent someone to check the mini bars already which I found very rude while we were still relaxing. If you told customers that they can do 1 hr late check-out please keep your words and not letting staff up the room to check the minibar as ‘putting pressure’ on us to check out.
