We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, with everything you need nearby and a beautiful balcony view of the mountains. The room was well-equipped with all the essentials, and having a bathtub was a real treat after a long day of hiking. Breakfast was basic but very good —especially the delicious Swiss cheese. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. It has 6 parking places. They gave great advice about mountain walks, which made exploring the area even better. Highly recommended for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

Not modern but it's not a big deal

The staff was extreamly friendly and polite. At the breakfast we were served right away. The room was good size, very clean and comfortable. Really nice shower and a big tub in the restroom. I also enjoyed the balcony a lot. The windows were opposite direction from the street so it was also quiet. The location was perfect; a lovely and peaceful area and it was also very close to the train station (less than 10 min by walk). We felt very comfortable.

I would have liked to have a minifridge and better pillows in the room. Also I would have appreciated more non-sugar options at the breakfast for example natural jogurt and mysli. The walls between rooms were thin.

The breakfast buffet was good, even on the morning when there were very few guests. The staff were all charming and very helpful. I enjoyed the slightly old fashioned elements in the hotel itself.

I found the early morning and evening traffic noise rather disturbing, but obviously it was outside the hotel’s control.

We stayed here for 7 night. 40 mins away from interlaken city center via Spiez. Wondafull location has access to all major attractions. Specially if you are planing to leave zermatt after enjoying jungfraujoch area, frutigen is the best area to stay. Specially need to mention the staff, they was amazing. Very friendly and supportive.

The staff was extremely friendly! I immediately felt welcome from the moment I entered the hotel. A couple of days into my vacation I had an injury on my foot. The staff was immediately extremely helpful. When I woke up the next day I saw that they had put crutches in front of my room! Said that I could use them whenever it felt necessary. I was blown away by their hospitality. Aside from that, the room was absolutely lovely. Sometimes there was a slight problem with the warm water in the bathroom but they were always quick to fix the issue and to be honest, I didn’t really mind. The view from my balcony was breathtaking. Breakfast was good. The hotel restaurant was fantastic! It’s a bus or 15 min. train ride away from beautiful spots like Blausee and Oeschinensee. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I really hope to return someday!

The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful and there was a chance for free parking behind the hotel.

No air conditioning and no elevator.

The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the many options at breakfast.

Rooms do not have AC so I would have liked a small fan or portable A/C at night.
