Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms where cozy and clean! We had the pleasure of having a room with lake view, and honestly couldn't get enough of it. The breakfast was good and everything was pleasant. Transport to and from interlaken was easy with bus or train. Coming back to the hotel after a long day of adventures felt like coming home, and we already want to go back, we loved it so much! If you have the chance to stay in Ringgenberg and are looking for a cozy, friendly hotel, this is the one for you!

Honestly nothing. Everything was pleasant.

Beautiful location and really easy to get around from here. We had a car and there is parking, but we often used the bus or the train, both of which are within maybe five or so minutes walk. The view over the lake is incredible. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the location made it a really useful base for exploring the wider area. The building itself is gorgeous, loads of character! We really loved our time here and the hotel being such a lovely place to stay played a huge part in that. There is so much that we did not have time to do that I have zero doubt we will be back here before long!

The location. The hotel is served well by public transport and private cars. Bus, train and boat stops are all nearby. Ringgenberg train station is a 6 minute walk and 3 minute journey by train to Interlaken OST The view from the lakeside rooms is spectacular with direct views of lake Brienz Staff are very friendly . Breakfast is quality, healthy, fresh local produce. The breakfast room has beautiful views of the lake.

The rooms were hot at night with no air conditioning, but that seems to be standard in Interlaken and we knew before we booked.

Breakfast was buffet style with omelette or scrambled eggs served to order. Plenty of choice with some local dishes to try. Room was clean and cosy. Reception staff were super friendly and very helpful. And of course, the view is to die for! The terrace overlooking the lake is the jewel in the crown. You get a visitor’s card in Switzerland which gives you free bus and rail travel plus discounts at lots of local attractions/restaurants.

Our shower room was tiny; my husband struggled to dry himself after his shower! There’s no mirror in the bedroom and no power point in the bathroom so nowhere to blow dry your hair if that’s what you usually do. Our room backed onto the railway line, although the double glazing shut out most of the noise. Having said all that, we’d definitely go back again but to a different room.

• The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. • The room was equipped with a Smart TV, adding a modern touch to our stay and providing great entertainment options. • Breakfast offered a healthy and varied spread, with high-quality food that catered to all tastes—a perfect start to the day. • The location was ideal—not directly in the bustling city centre, but conveniently close enough to easily access it. • Excellent transport links made getting around a breeze, with both the train station and bus stop just a short walk from the hotel. The included travel pass was a fantastic perk, which we made great use of during our stay.

• We encountered some difficulty adjusting the heater in the room, as it didn’t seem to lower. On one of the nights, we had to open the window to cool the room enough for a comfortable sleep. • The only toiletry provided was shower gel. Adding mini bottles of lotion and soap would have been a welcome touch. • There was only one outlet compatible with EU plugs, and Swiss-specific adapters were needed. Fortunately, the hotel kindly lent us one, which was much appreciated.

Where do I begin. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful to stay look no further. This place was by far my favourite on our entire Switzerland road trip. I decided to spend a little more and get the room with the lake view and it was so worth it and would recommend to everyone. There's a little balcony that overlooks the lake and it's just beautiful. The hotel has a traditional feel to it which I really liked as well as the eclectic paintings and decorations. The owner is so lovely and speaks really good english. He was able to recommend a few things for us to do. In terms of location it's a little outside of Interlaken and Brienz however, you can walk about 5 minutes and find the ferry port (steep hill). They run around 4-5 times a day and will take you on a lovely trip to Brienz or Interlaken. There is also a bus that runs frequently or you have the train station about 5-10 mins walk which runs late into the night and takes less than 15 minutes from Interlaken. Because of the location there are limited options for food so I would recommend going to Interlaken for dinner/ lunch etc. However, it's so peaceful and quiet that honestly we loved staying there, compared to the business of Interlaken. They also have parking which is a massive win!

The breakfast was okay, it had cold meats and cheeses, some fried pastries (samosas, rosti) and bread and jams. They also offered to cook eggs for you. I'm gluten free so it wasn't the best for me, however I didn't actually ask if they had bread as I usually travel with my own.

I was very happy with my stay at Hotel Alpina. The owner Richard was very easygoing, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was perfect, good variety, they make eggs however way you want them. The room is a good size with a comfy bed. And for my room 201 the bathroom was renovated and very nicely done. I even got a partial view of the lake from my room. The attention to detail throughout the hotel made it so funky yet so cozy. I would definitely stay there again. There’s also a beautiful pathway from the hotel that takes you directly parallel to the lake and a little waterfall

Only thing missing was a mini fridge. But not really a dealbreaker unless you bring food back with you.

We spent 4 nights here in a beautiful room with lake view. The landscape is wonderful, no words to describe it. The location is really good for those who travel by train and bus. The train station is about 5-10 minutes away via the main street - we don't recommend the shortcut because there is no light there in the evening. The room is simple, clean and cozy and warm enough for winter. The beds are pretty comfortable. We were also happy with the breakfast - nothing too fancy but enough to choose from. Very professional and polite staff. We were allowed to self checkin because our train arrived pretty late and the procedure was smooth. Overall, we think it is a good choice and we would go back on any ocasion. Thank you!

We would recommend changing the shower faucet and door. Both seem to have a short life ahead.

We had an excellent stay at your hotel! The room was immaculate and comfortable.The attention to detail and warm hospitality made our experience truly memorable. The aesthetic decorations throughout the hotel were truly stunning! The elegant design and attention to detail created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every corner had a unique touch, blending style and comfort seamlessly. It made my stay even more enjoyable, and I truly appreciated the thought put into the décor. We had a wonderful view of Lake Brienz from our large balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our hostess (we didn’t catch her name) was a wealth of information, and so helpful. There was a nice variety of food for breakfast and some made-to-order items were available too. Fernanda was an excellent server and we enjoyed chatting with her. The morning we checked out we had to leave before breakfast was available, but they gave us a bag of breakfast foods we could eat at the airport, so we didn’t need to buy our breakfast there.

It was all great.
