The hospitality of the Dave and Marc were commendable. I'm so impressed with them. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had a great view of mountains and lake. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with a wide selection of delicious options. I especially appreciated the convenient location (just 3 mins from interlaken) and excellent customer service. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. They also advised where to visit when there was a heavy snow.

The moment we walked up the steep road from the train station to the hotel, we had an inkling that it would be a great stay. When we were welcomed and given a tour of the property by Lindsay (Linda?), we were certain that it would be one of our best experiences. What makes a stay exceptional is the people and the hospitality and they surely excel in that department. We decided to have a late lunch after our check-in, and the lady at the restaurant (I forget the name) went out of her way to order in a large pizza from outside for us even though it was outside of the lunch hours. The bus and train stations are just a short walk away, with buses every 30 minutes and trains every hour to Interlaken (takes roughly 10 minutes). The Coop Supermarket opposite the Interlaken station has everything under the sun. With a view to die for, waking up to the snow clad mountains and lake Brienz, this is probably the best choice if you choose to stay around Interlaken. A big thumbs up to the brothers David and Mark for keeping the standards high and making us feel at home.

Highly recommended hotel! Great location in a small town next to Interlaken. It's a 4-minute walk to the bus stop, and the bus takes about 6 minutes to Interlaken Ost station. The train station is a 3-minute walk away, with trains taking about 4 minutes to Interlaken Ost station and about 20 minutes to Brienz station. (Of course, buses run about every half hour, and trains probably hourly.) The hotel has a large balcony with a sofa and dining table, overlooking the incredibly beautiful Lake Brienz. I felt the water of Lake Brienz was a bit more turquoise than Lake Thun's – absolutely stunning. We didn't see A/C in the apartment, but being by the lake, the evenings were pleasantly cool. The apartment was equipped with a fridge, microwave, induction cooktop, tableware, wine glasses, etc. It's perfect to stop by the COOP or MIGROS supermarkets near Interlaken West or Ost station before heading back to the hotel to prepare a simple dinner. Guests upstairs seemed to have borrowed a grill from the hotel for a balcony barbecue – a fantastic idea! Finally, the hotel staff were extremely, extremely friendly. In short, our family had a very comfortable stay at this hotel.

The hotel is outstanding, Marc and David were so helpful. They went through all the local places to see. Mountains and Top of Europe only a short journey from the hotel. So you have lakes, waterfalls and mountains nearby. The check in was easy, our room was amazing with a lovely balcony and stunning views over Lake Brienz. The shower was great. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they ordered a takeaway for us on 2 occasions, set the table and did everything to make it a lovely meal in the hotel. Breakfast had everything you could want with tables looking out over the lake. There is a terrace area you can sit and have a drink after a long day sightseeing. Satellite TV has all the English channels BBC/ITV. Car parking for many cars free of charge.

Fantastic location overlooking Lake Brienze in Ringgenberg. Regular buses and trains service the area. We booked a room with lake/mountain view and balcony. I was stunned by how beautiful the view of the lake and mountains was from the room. Worth every penny!! The room was lovely, big windows and huge balcony door. The decor of the room was modern with lovely wooden shutters. Room facilities as specified. Lovely touch having water in fridge and slippers for guests. We were surprised that there were lots of english TV channels. The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful and very proud of their fabulous hotel. Breakfast buffet was impressive with a fine selection of breads, cereals, dairy products and meats. Public areas were also very stylish. Would highly recommend a stay in Hotel Brienzersee

There was nothing I didn't like!!

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The location is exceptional, with a balcony right on the lakefront offering stunning views. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast — it had a great variety, including hot dishes, and was included in our stay, which was a wonderful bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. When we needed adaptors for our mobile devices, they went out of their way to help us find the right ones. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful setting. We will definitely stay again if given the chance to come back to Brienz, Switzerland. Highly recommended.

The only minor drawbacks were a somewhat weak Wi-Fi signal and that cooking wasn’t allowed in the apartment. However, with so many great local restaurants nearby, this wasn’t much of an issue for us.

I would say everything was amazing, the way the hotel owners helped us with check-in, shared their suggestion, experience and advice about places to visit were very helpful. The hotel room was amazing with a lake view with such a calm and peaceful surrounding. The views from the hotel balcony are breathtaking. The owners of the hotel take good care of breakfast and keep a wide range of menu items every morning. Having your breakfast and enjoying the view was some of the key highlights of the trip. I would highly recommend anyone who are planning to visit Interlaken. The place is worth the money and time.

The location was amazing with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Approximately 15-20mins bus ride to the Interlaken OST however, the frequency is not too great but the bus stop is about 5 mins easy walk from the hotel. Buffet breakfast was really nice and included in the price. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. There is an amazing walk along the water from the hotel to Interlaken OST which is highly recommended and takes around 45mins…. Please note it has to be started from the hotel as the walk is then downhill. The boat stop is very close to the hotel but is an uphill walk from there to the hotel.

We would’ve loved to have stayed in a lake view room however, the price in general for the hotel was a little steep.

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Brienzersee for 4 nights in February and had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel in our opinion was ideal for spending time in Interlaken and the surrounding areas – probably cheaper than most accommodation in Interlaken but if you prefer peaceful views of a lake than tourist filled streets this is for you! The hotel is a few minutes train or bus ride from Interlaken (which is also free with the city tourist card the hotel give you), or you can walk it in about 40 minutes if you wish. We were welcomed to a spacious and modern room with all of the amenities you’d expect, with the most beautiful view over Lake Brienz from the balcony which was definitely worth the extra cost (in all weather!). The room and the hotel in general were kept clean and warm throughout. Everybody at the hotel was friendly, easy to communicate with, and helped us with lots of advice and recommendations on hikes and public transport – clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the area and sharing it with guests. We were also made to feel very special on our Anniversary. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of well-stocked items, and the hotel was quiet at this time of year with only 2-4 other guests at breakfast each morning.

We wish we could have stayed longer! A couple of minor things that could have made our stay even better – we found the Wi-Fi to be quite slow, it was always functional and good speeds in the lobby but in our room sometimes had a poor connection. Also we had a double room and a double bed, but two single duvets rather than one double which would have been ideal, but it didn’t keep us awake at night.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Brienzersee hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and professionalism by Priska. The service throughout my stay was truly exceptional. The room was spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered breathtaking views of the lake. Waking up to the serene water and surrounding mountains was simply magical. Every detail in the room reflected thoughtful care and a high standard of cleanliness. Breakfast was another highlight – fresh, delicious, and varied, with options to suit all tastes. Enjoying a morning meal while looking out over the lake was the perfect start to each day. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its amazing connectivity to Interlaken. Whether traveling by bus or car, everything was incredibly convenient and hassle-free, making it an ideal base to explore the region. In short, this hotel combines natural beauty, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area.
