The hospitality of the Dave and Marc were commendable. I'm so impressed with them. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had a great view of mountains and lake. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with a wide selection of delicious options. I especially appreciated the convenient location (just 3 mins from interlaken) and excellent customer service. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. They also advised where to visit when there was a heavy snow.

The moment we walked up the steep road from the train station to the hotel, we had an inkling that it would be a great stay. When we were welcomed and given a tour of the property by Lindsay (Linda?), we were certain that it would be one of our best experiences. What makes a stay exceptional is the people and the hospitality and they surely excel in that department. We decided to have a late lunch after our check-in, and the lady at the restaurant (I forget the name) went out of her way to order in a large pizza from outside for us even though it was outside of the lunch hours. The bus and train stations are just a short walk away, with buses every 30 minutes and trains every hour to Interlaken (takes roughly 10 minutes). The Coop Supermarket opposite the Interlaken station has everything under the sun. With a view to die for, waking up to the snow clad mountains and lake Brienz, this is probably the best choice if you choose to stay around Interlaken. A big thumbs up to the brothers David and Mark for keeping the standards high and making us feel at home.

The hotel is outstanding, Marc and David were so helpful. They went through all the local places to see. Mountains and Top of Europe only a short journey from the hotel. So you have lakes, waterfalls and mountains nearby. The check in was easy, our room was amazing with a lovely balcony and stunning views over Lake Brienz. The shower was great. There is no restaurant at the hotel but they ordered a takeaway for us on 2 occasions, set the table and did everything to make it a lovely meal in the hotel. Breakfast had everything you could want with tables looking out over the lake. There is a terrace area you can sit and have a drink after a long day sightseeing. Satellite TV has all the English channels BBC/ITV. Car parking for many cars free of charge.

I would say everything was amazing, the way the hotel owners helped us with check-in, shared their suggestion, experience and advice about places to visit were very helpful. The hotel room was amazing with a lake view with such a calm and peaceful surrounding. The views from the hotel balcony are breathtaking. The owners of the hotel take good care of breakfast and keep a wide range of menu items every morning. Having your breakfast and enjoying the view was some of the key highlights of the trip. I would highly recommend anyone who are planning to visit Interlaken. The place is worth the money and time.

The location was amazing with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Approximately 15-20mins bus ride to the Interlaken OST however, the frequency is not too great but the bus stop is about 5 mins easy walk from the hotel. Buffet breakfast was really nice and included in the price. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. There is an amazing walk along the water from the hotel to Interlaken OST which is highly recommended and takes around 45mins…. Please note it has to be started from the hotel as the walk is then downhill. The boat stop is very close to the hotel but is an uphill walk from there to the hotel.

We would’ve loved to have stayed in a lake view room however, the price in general for the hotel was a little steep.

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel Brienzersee for 4 nights in February and had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel in our opinion was ideal for spending time in Interlaken and the surrounding areas – probably cheaper than most accommodation in Interlaken but if you prefer peaceful views of a lake than tourist filled streets this is for you! The hotel is a few minutes train or bus ride from Interlaken (which is also free with the city tourist card the hotel give you), or you can walk it in about 40 minutes if you wish. We were welcomed to a spacious and modern room with all of the amenities you’d expect, with the most beautiful view over Lake Brienz from the balcony which was definitely worth the extra cost (in all weather!). The room and the hotel in general were kept clean and warm throughout. Everybody at the hotel was friendly, easy to communicate with, and helped us with lots of advice and recommendations on hikes and public transport – clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the area and sharing it with guests. We were also made to feel very special on our Anniversary. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of well-stocked items, and the hotel was quiet at this time of year with only 2-4 other guests at breakfast each morning.

We wish we could have stayed longer! A couple of minor things that could have made our stay even better – we found the Wi-Fi to be quite slow, it was always functional and good speeds in the lobby but in our room sometimes had a poor connection. Also we had a double room and a double bed, but two single duvets rather than one double which would have been ideal, but it didn’t keep us awake at night.

The apartment is lovely if a bit small for four adults (only one bathroom). The terrace overlooking the lake is the huge selling point for this place but unfortunately we didn't get used it much due to the weather. Breakfast was wonderful, stocked with many of the things that make swiss breakfasts so amazing - several varieties of fresh bread and rolls, fruit, eggs, and muesli.

We didn't think the apartment was stocked well enough. There wasn't a sharp knife or a corkscrew and there were no dish towels to clean dishes that we had used. They were helpful about providing things when we asked, but they should be in the apartment.

Truly, the best parts of this nice little inn are the location and the breakfast. The location, set a short way up from Interlaken is far enough to be out of the bustle of the town, but close enough to use the free bus pass they provide to get to Interlaken in minutes. It’s on the lake, which provides stunning views (unless there’s fog) of Lake Brienz with a common area patio available for all. The breakfast is comprehensive and very tasty. When we were there they had Swiss specialties like the blend of “yogurt, fruit and muesli,” smoked salmon, hard boiled eggs, all manner of cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, and fruit. There’s no denying that food in general in Switzerland is outrageously expensive and mediocre- so this place stands out because it gets the guests out the door for the day with full and happy bellies. Note: very easy and plentiful free parking. Great for traveling with a car.

We stayed on the non lake side (no balcony in our room) and our room was quite small for two guys. Note: balcony rooms are a bit more expensive.

As a frequent traveler, I can endorse this hotel as simply exceptional! The location and view of Lake Brienz from the room windows were breathtakingly gorgeous and unbeatable! The staff was the friendliest I have experienced in the last 16 years of traveling across Europe! Thank you so much for your warm hospitality and home-like environment! The rooms were sparkling clean and modern, and the breakfast was perfect. Waking up to the stunning autumn view of Lake Brienz and the mountains was therapeutic! The hotel is in the charming village Ringgenberg, only 5 mins' drive away from Interlaken and 20-30 mins away from Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. I would love to visit again in summers.

The view of the lake in the morning was beautiful - just a serene hideaway close to the Swiss alps. Breakfast was included and there was a good selection of items. Staff was extremely helpful, answered questions and transportation and activities, and gave recommendations to nearby destinations.

Pricing: The price was a bit high, but that is generally true in any part of Switzerland due to the exchange rate. Environment: There could have been more directions to the hotel: it was a bit off the main road and the pathway was not lit well. Room: The bathroom had a slightly musty smell - this could be attributed to the age of the hotel. The keys were also physical rather than the typical room keys. A sort of old-fashioned charm, if you will. Transportation: It is a bit farther away from the Interlaken Rail Station (Ost/East) - about 15 minutes by bus. The ferry unfortunately only ran once a day because on the winter schedule.
