We had booked a city facing room and were lucky enough to receive a corner room overlooking the river and train bridge. The view from the breakfast room is also great, very nice to sit and have breakfast right by the water. The hotel is conveniently located directly next to the Ost Train Station and is a good base for trips into Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. They also provided us with a cute yet mostly unusable crib for our baby.

The hotel is in dire need of some renovating, floors feel very thin, all the rooms have different furniture, rooms still using hard key, beds and furniture are all old. This does provide the hotel some unique charm however its just not comfortable. Desk staff commonly sitting in back room and need to be called to for any service.

We had a spacious room and bathroom facing the lake with a great balcony that would be lovely if there in summer but served to keep our drinks cold for our winter stay! Though it’s an older hotel, it’s very comfortable with lovely staff, a generous breakfast and is very close to Interlaken Ost train station where the trains leave for many of the area’s attractions plus only a short walk to town. We left something behind in our room and it was found and sent to us, which was very kind.

Would be handy to have a small fridge in the room.

The location is unbeatable, at least for the price and what we wanted to achieve. You will have to go out of your way to miss this hotel if you get in to Interlaken Ost. It was convenient enough for us to get some breakfast from a Coop across the street that we chose to decline the breakfast offered by the hotel. The rooms were a good size to fit a couple and a 6 year old kid. They did charge extra for a kid bed which is a detail I had missed.

The hotel is so close to the train station that if you keep the windows open to cool the room, you hear trains at least until 1am. I did not see another way of cooling the room, e.g. AC. I was disappointed that the staff did not provide us a tourist card (which allows free use of public transport in the neighborhood) by themselves and we had to ask for it the next day. At that time, they did provide it to us without any questions and also gave us details on where we could use it.

Unique location by the lake with an absolutely most stunning view. Cute balcony of the hotel room. A good variety continental breakfast. Very close to the train station.

Shops close early before 10 pm so be prepared to take early dinner. Thin walls and wooden flooring of the hotel that you could hear people above you taking a shower or moving around the room especially if you are a light sleeper.

It has a great location since it is just beside the train station. Breakfast was good. Our all-time favorite for breakfast was their croissant. The hotel itself maintained its old charm as it is already 200 years old. There is a grocery nearby. We were allowed to leave our bags after check out and the receptionist was exceptionally accomodating. It is also near the bus terminal where we rode to Iseltwald. We were dropped off at the nearby site where Crash Landing Korean Drama was filmed.

At night it's somewhat creepy as it is so quiet and old, some old pictures and decor were also hung in the corridor. Not all rooms have good wifi coverage.

Location and surroundings!

The Bed was tooooo soft and the housekeeping was making the bed inclination without any reason. Never had such a thing and one whole night could not sleep (neck pain), until we realized the elevation in the morning! Coming from Asia... probably courtesy expectations are different for me! I have to dial it down! Good to have learned the variations in the culture. Hotel front desk was decent. Breakfast is something they can improve ! Overall room rate was quite high for what I received! It could be blamed on platform charges, however, my stay at Berlin was half of what I paid but the experience of Cosmos Hotel Berlin was SUPER good, except one front desk rude staff!

The location was perfect ( very near train station and bus station and food stores). Also the boat ride to Lake Brienz was just outside the door ; very near funiciular to Harder Kulm but it was rather unfortunate that both of them were not yet available for public use. Check-in was easy; lift available. The room was really spacious, including the bathroom with amenities; coffee/tea available. Bed comfortable. Breakfast decent enough.

Staff member who checked us in appeared not so warm/friendly but the those manning the following days were okay. Difficult to get out of the bath tub: would appreciate if a handle bar is installed on the wall and also a bit slippery so perhaps a bath mat will be helpful. Room including furniture is rather in the old style but not sure if this was done on purpose to create an old-world ambience (not much of a problem to us though) but sometimes opening/closing the door using a vintage key was a bit challenging.

I definitely had the best room no.19 on the corner with 2 windows, one to see the beautiful sunset/sunrise in the morning on the snow mountains and the other directly on the lake with the sound of little Crebes and Ducks. I could leave my luggage free of charge the moring I had to leave :-) When I forgot my Tekkies in my room, they immediately confirm that it is there and were extremely helpful to keep it for me. It is funny, but I did not realise that the bed could be set to a sit position or to a flat sleeping position, so until I have discovered this, I was strangely sitting slightly to sleep...

Super location and awesome views room. Great hotel for short stay like 4-5 days in Interlaken. Staff is very welcoming and soft spoken. Rooms are with amazing river view and few rooms are with balcony. You will find antique furniture in rooms which makes the feel more comfy and classy. Breakfast option is very limited like croissant and buns along with fruit juice and real fruits. Milk and cereals. Location is the key part of this hotel it’s right in front of interlaken ost station. And interlaken west station is walkable like 20mins from this hotel on straight route.

Beautiful building located directly across from Interlaken OST train station (literally about 10 meters out of the station exit!). Comfortable room with beautiful lake view with balcony and a bath! Incredibly accessible via train, bus and even by foot, the main bulk of the shops and restaurants reaching no further than a 15 minute walk in a straight line. We booked this hotel with intention of visiting the jungfraujoch (as most of the guests) and for this purpose it was fantastic.

Slightly loud on the noise levels between rooms, but nothing overly concerning. Decor slightly outdated but still charming.
