Our group of seven travellers from India thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hirschen Hotel. Despite the small inconvenience of the stairs, we were highly satisfied with the services, location, and overall experience. The beautifully located hotel, combined with its excellent staff and delightful dining, makes it a highly recommended choice for visitors to Interlaken.

Liked every bit of it. Nice hotel, great breakfast with many choices of fruits, fresh breads, eggs, bacon, cereals, jellies. It is an authentic swiss chalet. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. We would recommend this place. The location was great, and it was close to the bus stop to go to the train station.

Excellent breakfast choices included in room rate. Restaurant meals also top notch and plenty of choices. Beautiful mountain view from our room. All staff encountered were friendly and welcoming and could speak different languages. Good WiFi connection. Walking distance to town centre. Free onsite parking. Typical Swiss chalet guest house.

Room was quite stuffy and warm, but did have opening windows which assisted with overall comfort. Was difficult to get around the bed to the bathroom from one side due to furniture placement and chunky wooden bed frame.

The breakfast was great! Switzerland prices for food is known from being on the pricier end, so we appreciated having a nice meal before heading off to the trails. I also appreciated the cleanliness and the AC! The room could certainly be warm without it. We also appreciated the mechanical blinds as well. I truly feel like this accommodation was well worth the value and would book again next time!

This is stated in the description of the hotel, but the hotel is a bit far from Interlaken OST or Interlaken West. About 20 mins. Which could add additional wariness for those who do not have a car. Just a heads up for other guests

I went to Interlaken in May 2025 and the location of this hotel was excellent, being only 10-15 minutes away from the city centre, very close to local grocery shops like Lidl and Co-op. The rooms and beds were really comfy, and the hotel itself is historic and has a beautiful interior and exterior. Breakfast in the morning was great, they had different hot and cold options to choose from and there was a decent variety including a coffee machine and teas. Everybody else at the hotel was also respectful so did not expierence any difficulties in that regard. The location was in a quieter part of town, also with beautiful views. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel!

The room was clean upon arrival however during our 5 day stay, it was not hoovered or vacuumed at all. I do think that this needs to be introduced for stays above 3 days, as we were 3 people in one room and dust, hair and lint started building up quite quickly despite only being at the hotel at night and in the mornings and being out pretty much all day. Aside from that, everything else was great :).

The property was lovely, quintessentially Swiss and yet modern facilities. Rooms had plenty of space and were so comfortable. We loved the property. Staff were so obliging and helpful. More than happy help with luggage up and down the stairs as there was no elevator due to age of building, The breakfast was delicious and we also dined in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious and very reasonable. Rooms were air conditioned and having access to washing machine, drier and iron for a few francs was great. Location very handy…. Bus stop right outside. I would highly recommend Hotel Hirschen.

Nothing …. Everything was first class

This was the the perfect location for our stay in Switzerland. The hotel overlooked the beautiful Swiss mountains, and so special to stay in a traditional Chalet, so cute inside! It is perfectly located in Interlaken so made our adventures to the mountains very accessible. Breakfast was included, and was great to have a lovely buffet breakfast before our busy days exploring each day. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and showed us how to use their washing machine/dryer so we could wash our clothes. We dined at the restaurant downstairs on our first night, and really enjoyed it overlooking the mountains. A perfect stay in Switzerland and value for money!

Staff was very accommodating to bring us a crib for our 1 year old and a few other needs. Rooms were a nice size and very charming with their Swiss decor. Location was so convenient to walk into town.

Usually nobody was at the front desk so if you needed something you had to go to the basement to get someone from the restaurant to help you - I felt like a bother to ask them while they are busy waiting tables, but there was no one else to ask.

Overall, it was perfect. The hotel is a pretty chalet that gives you the traditional Swiss vibe straight away. It is very clean which I love love love! The room space is just enough with facilities to make the stay comfortable nonetheless. It is prefectly situalted in betweek Interlaken west and Ost stations (10-15 min walk) and also witjin walking distance to the town centre. The complimentary bus pass was a nice suprise! (I comes in handy when you’re tired from walking all day, and the bus fares are not cheap!) The breakfast is good and the restaurant serves great food too! The hotel staffs are welcoming and friendly 😊

We were fortunate enough to get a room at the front of the property with large windows boasting a gorgeous view. The room was spacious, very clean and extremely cosy. The highlight of our stay (other than view!) was the free breakfast. The spread the hotel put on each day went well above expectations of "included free breakfast." There were so many options to choose from and sitting outside on the verandah to again...admire the view was our favourite part of our stay. We would absolutely love to come here again one day. The onsite restaurant was also very good and we enjoyed all our food and staff!
