Everything was fantastic. Proximity to train station. Fantastic view of lake Thunersee from the restaurant where I sat for hours. Special care for me was taken for breakfast because I’m a strict vegetarian and I loved it. It’s a family hotel/theatre run professionally and with love. Amazing suggestions were given to me for my daily tours. The room and the bathroom was clean. The encanto stuffed toys did scare me a lil bit but it was fine after 2 days plus it was a cute theme. The rooms didn’t have numbers. They had a theme based probably on movies. Hot water kettle was in the room with tea/coffee. Special thank you to the family and the staff for everything. They were generous enough to let me stay on their restaurant terrace until the last hour. God bless.

The town Spiez sleeps too early. By the time I would reach back, everything would be closed. As a tourist you want some 24/7 grocery kind of place around.

Nice clean appartment with lake view, good kitchen. Road below hardly frequented over night and hard to hear with closed windows. Very central, 1min walk from train station Spiez for day excursions. 24h accessible parkhouse and groacery (Migros, Denner and farmacy) in same building. Hosts efficent. Reception at the cinema bar, which offers also breakfast at cost if wished.

Heating was low, but could be easly changed and was fine after some hours. Master bed room very comfortable. Sofabed rather hard to sleep. Hot water for long showers fine for 3 person, however there is is a boost buttom to restore within 2h. Don't get irritated of popcorn smell at reception ;-)

I often wondered why it was so difficult to book this hotel. Now I know why. It is a small family run hotel that offers excellent service and food. Although not a problem for me, the earliest breakfast time of 0830 might not suit everyone. Has its own restaurant which offers a limited menu and specializes in flamenkuchen and pizzas. Had stayed in Spiez a number of times at another family run hotel, the Bellevue during the time it was owned by the Maurer and, later, the Barua family. Sadly, it is now a boutique hotel offerrring poor value for money and where everything was limited and even minor requests seemed a problem. It was a pleasure to stay at the welcoming Movieworld Notel and I would recommend it to everyone

The room was big, clean and comfortable, I had a small balcony with lake views and it had plenty of storage space. I liked that the movie theme continued throughout the place plus the TV even had Netflix! The place has a restaurant that is open till late, very rare in the area and it has amazing views. Location is perfect, a few steps from the train station and a large supermarket next door. It is clear the place is managed by people who really love and care for it.

Only downside were the pillows, they were too soft to my liking.

Location was good. Close to the train station (which we used alot) and had a nice view of Lake Thun. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the lake at the end of our day. Staff was accommodating and grocery store was next door.

Not enough restaurants close by. You have to walk down to the lake to go to any restaurants. The walk is a little steep when you are coming back from the lake

Very quiet and tidy, good soundproof, big room. Friendly receptionists. Wonderful location, near the train station, supermarket and restaurant

Shower didn't work well, some holes got plugged up, water coming out in irregular directions. Also the tea kettle got a weird smell. Even if I cooked still water with it for over 3 times, that smell didn't vanish. Receptionists forgot to tell me the WLAN passport when I checked in and didn't remind me that they offered free travel card in Thunsee region ( They just sent the travel card to my email)

Hotel is close to the station helpful if you arrive by train. Fantastic view from the terrace overlooking Spiez and Lake Thun where breakfast was served or you could dine in the evening. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and served by helpful friendly staff, the staff were really nice at this hotel ! shops and supermarket right beside the hotel which was very convenient.

Underground parking which was free was a bit confusing which was not helped by the work was being carried out in the ar park during the evenings. This was not fault of the hotel as the work was being carried out by the supermarket company that shares the underground car park.

Excellent location, across the railway station, spotless clean, good breakfast in a room or on a terass with breathtaking view on Thun lake, nice ladies at the reception. The hotel is within a movie theater (unfortunately having only movies dubbed în German) and has a nice bistro. Spiez is not only extremely beautiful and quaint, but also a great base for visiting the wonderful Berner Oberland area (however you should be aware that train travel is efficient and very comfortable, but not cheap).

Nothing actually. I was somehow dissapointed that I did not have a balcony with a view on the lake (the balcony had view on a roof, but in the confirmațion of the booking that was obvious and I could have cancelled the reservation if it bothered me). The toiletry was very basic, a shower cap would have been nice.

The only thing I would change is the pillows! They were big and weird and floppy, and had weird textured pillow cases, and I wish they were just normal. But everything else was great!

Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. Breakfast was served on a beautiful terrace with a great view of Lake Thun. The parking lot was secure and it had easy access. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was quite good, it had plenty of grocery stores and restaurants around.

The furniture in the rooms was a little bit old, it could use a renovation. There was an unpleasant smell in the hallway.
