Amazing view! Also the restaurant staff were so cordial. Since there wasn't a reception, we often had to reach out to them for info and they were more than happy to help. The assistance was prompt and helpful as well over Booking.com chat. The restaurant food was top notch. We did boat riding which was free and a nice experience.

We didn’t dislike anything, but a few things could improve: more tea options like English Breakfast or Earl Grey in the coffee room, and ideally, in-room tea/coffee facilities. Also, with digital reception, we had to use Booking.com chat for info, which wasn’t ideal. A clear printed guide in the room for water activities, fridge availability, breakfast times, etc., would be really helpful.

Gorgeous location & views, very close to public transport which is also free with their local transport card, close to shops too. Spotless and clean, large bathroom and balcony which isn’t common in Europe. Very comfortable bed, bedding and towels. Good wifi. Great restaurant downstairs. No minibar in the rooms but there is a large communal fridge where we kept our wine etc. Easy check in/out process. All ammenities listed were included. From memory this hotel had the 6 sided/elongated diamond adapter with the three prongs but a few countries we visited used either so you should prepare to travel with both anyway, we were able to get one from the shops easily as we forgot to get both at the airport.

If you have mobility issues, there are stairs to get to the rooms so I’d ask if they have anything to assist with this prior to booking as you may need to stay elsewhere if they don’t. Also if you’re paying for a room with a lake view, I’d request a front facing room to the lake. We stayed on the right side and our view was a little obstructed by a tree but it was still stunning and I’d stay in the same room again.

The property was perfectly set on a relaxing area of Lake Thurnersee. One of the best breakfasts with multiple options and a comfortable and quiet atmosphere. The decor was tastefully done in a lake cottage feel in a traditional Swiss home. This was probably the most relaxing place we have stayed with a view of the lake and mountains that is hard to beat!

The rooms were a bit small but not unexpected. Although small, they were still comfortable and tastefully designed.

Exceptional experience. Pleasant hotel and restaurant right on the lake shore, stunning view and surroundings at reach of Schloss Oberhofen. Parking lot at the place. Small but super clean, cosy and calm apartment, really comfortable bed. Advantage - self check in (key boxes) till the late night, you may come and leave independently. Some initial difficulty immediately solved by nice stuff to our full satisfaction. When we come along in the future we will definitely book the same hotel again. Thank you very much, Sophia!

A very wonderful hotel, the staff are all wonderful, without exception, and the owner of the place is beautiful in appearance and manners. I booked on the wrong date on another day and she tried to help us and helped us get in early and gave us an upgrade. The breakfast is wonderful and the view is amazing. I highly recommend staying in this beautiful place and I will definitely come back again.

Beautiful setting on Lake Thun. Comfortable room with balcony over the lake with iconic view of Niesen and the surrounding alps. Good breakfast provided. And the restaurant serves an excellent Swiss menu for lunch and dinner. Parking is easy and free. The staff are very responsive.

Our queen mattress was a bit soft.

Very noisy, noise from terrace/restaurant below at the back and busy road at the front. There was not the basic things such as a room safe, room fridge, air con etc. There was a “shared” fridge in the “guest kitchen” downstairs along with communal tea/coffee facilities.

The room was very cozy, nicely furnished. We felt at home. We liked the style of the restaurant, the entrance, the room immediately. What a nice idea to have a basket with drinks and food in the fridge. It was very appreciated.

Check in process, only got the code via calling the emergency hotline. Never received the email that was promised. Considering the premium price with breakfast being included, we found it inappropriate to get charged an extra $5/person for simple eggs/omelette

the staff were the most kind, helpful and attentive to us!! we were very grateful for their help in the self- check in process !! the hotel is beautiful!! the location on the water gives such relaxing experience, the view over the lake and the mountains is just so beautiful , we wished we could have stay longer than 2 nights!!!
