Amazing views, descent breakfast for eggiterians, would be great to have desserts in breakfast though. Great lake views from restaurant. Room had eletric kettle, heater in bathroom for clothes. One bus stop for bus no 21 is very close. This location exceeded our expectations.

Location is 40 mins away from interlaken OST which was our center. With visitors buses were super crowded in morning and evening and we did not get to sit at all for entire 40 mins journey. If you have activities planned near interlaken, it might be little far. Location is close from Thun train station though. With views and hotel experience, we did not regret our stay though. As we were 2 adults, we were able to manage. With family and kids, it might be difficult to commute to interlaken.

I enjoyed my stay at Bellevue au Lac! The room was very spacious and comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful! They assisted me with getting around town to some wonderful sites! The lake and surroundings were absolutely spectacular! Beautiful views of the lake and mountains! The lake was perfect for swimming! It was great to have lake access provided by the hotel! Breakfast and dinner at the hotel was so delicious! The promenade along the lake was amazingly beautiful! Downtown Thun was only a short bus ride down the road. But if you enjoy walking, the half hour or so stroll along the lake is well worth your time! And last but not least, don't forget to visit the wonderful castle right downtown!

Totally awesome location. We liked the fact it was only a short walk from the ferry terminal. Worth knowing, when the weather is hot, 5 minutes towards Thun is a lake side swimming area, also in oberhofen. These have changing, toilets, cafe, safe entry to the lake, showers and diving platforms. On a hot day these are idealic places to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We had dinner the first night at the Thai restaurant just along the road towards Thun, almost opposite the ferry terminal, fabulous cuisine. The next afternoon we went to the hotel next door which has a lovely lakeside terrace and has simple food available, burgers and bratwurst. When we departed we got the ferry just before 1pm, which is the steamship and had a lovely lunch on our way to Interlaken. All in all a perfect stay on lake Thun.

The staff at hotel excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We would have preferred a front lake view of the lake but the side view was just fine and good view of the lake. Room was Ok. Bed not very comfortable, mattress a bit lumpy and duvet also lumpy. Beautiful view. A nice holiday.

As mentioned bed a bit lumpy. Needs another wrack to hang towels in bathroom. Shower not very well designed. e.g. cant put bath mat on floor then open shower door. Floor gets wet as shower door a bit small.

I got upgraded to a suite although I booked a single room (the hotel was almost empty). Very nice room!

They recently changed owners and the hotel does not serve alcohol, which is a shame as the hotel is on the lake and has a beautiful terrace, where people come for food and wine or just for a drink. I doubt they had many bookings in the restaurant over the holidays, and my mother and I were the only patrons in the restaurant which was weird and uncomfortable (the Italian restaurant accross the street was packed).

A nice big room with some view of the lake of Thun, even though the room was designated as a city view. Plus we liked that the window when closed were completely noise free, we could not hear a single car from the street below. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our included breakfast was very good, approaching the level of a 4-star hotel. Dinner on the patio was wonderful, the cuisine is traditional Swiss with a wonderful presentation. A big bonus for 1st of August travelers, the lake's big fireworks display happens right in front of you, and is spectacular!

The room's carpet and curtains and trimmings felt and looked quite old and worn. The bathroom could benefit from more soaps and skin products, as we are accustomed to from three-star hotels. But these few things are really minor, and did not detract from our enjoyment at all.

We arrived in Thun by train and took the boat here - the boat trip was quick and lovely and the boat stop for the town of Hilterfingen is just a few minutes walk along the water to the hotel. The staff at the reception desk were immediately warm and welcoming. We loved our room - we had a balcony off the bedroom and one from the living area and we spent lots of time outside enjoying the view. The hotel was quiet and we slept great here. In addition to the on-site restaurant, there were other great restaurants nearby including a Thai restaurant just down the street. We did not have a car and we got around easily by walking and by taking the boat. There were also frequent buses with a stop nearby. We loved exploring Hilterfingen and nearby towns and hope to return to the Hotel Bellevue au Lac in the future!

Amazing! Honestly our favourite stay so far, the room was beautiful and the view was even better. I absolutely recommend booking a lake view on the 1st floor if you can! The staff were lovely, the facilities were great, it was a good location, we walked to a lot of the castles and the buses were super easy to navigate. The staff even gave us a bus pass for our time there to get around for free!

Friendly staff, enough space to park the car, amazing view on the lake and the mountains. The restaurant is just in front of the lake and the food is good. You can go for a short walk along the lake directly from the hotel. I highly recommend that hotel

Room was a bit small and it was quite warm inside. While opening the windows to get some fresh air, you would then hear the noise from the road.

Our suite on the 4th floor had a great view over the lake and to the mountains in the distance. The suite consisted of a big room with a smaller one with a sofa and a nice and spacious bathroom. We liked the historic vibe of the place, the staff were very friendly, both at the reception and at the restaurant. The food we had for dinner was delicious.

Unfortunately we had quite a loud family in one of the rooms close by, bad luck.
